Grannyapple · 15/12/2012 21:27

Omg ledkr that is too funny, D & Donald Duck incident...I literally have tears down my face & dh spat out his tea when I told him Grin

blizy huge (((hugs)))

Grannyapple · 15/12/2012 21:28

Oh wiggs sorry to hear of lurgy infected household...fx everyone is over it for next w/e x.

ledkr · 16/12/2012 10:01

Glad you can all laugh though. She is a bit of a heller on this trip won't sleep for ages doesn't like buggy or walking so its ups and downs if I'm honest. I cried last night cos so tired and d wouldn't sleep it's like Xmas really high expectations so hysterical if all goes wrong.
Dh is always hard work on hols. Lacks motivation to do get organised ie pack bags go for breakey so I feel as if I'm the only adult it's very frustrating. I'm making him go on terror towers today to teach him a lesson and sharpen him up

MizK · 16/12/2012 16:55

Hi everyone, have been slack as ever but because am being held hostage by Cassia in front of CBeebies, thought I'd catch up!
Sounds like blizy and ponyo have had lovely days, bet you're tired now though!
ledkr hope D sleeps tonight, its bloody hard to take them anywhere at this age (I mean D not DH obvs!)Hope you have a good time despite the stress x
wiggles get well soon! Hope vomming stops, its so draining to be puking and looking after others, although hopefully this means no one will get ill over Xmas if you've had your share now!
Heeuge belated congratulations to borg and granny on the new babies to be! And full admiration for managing spirited toddlers while pg :)
Hello to everybody else, on phone so can't scroll back, hope everybody is well?
I have finished all my assignments for this term so fully relaxed now and excited for christmas. Love it! Am practising making yummy braised red cabbage today so it goes well on xmas day (I usually buy it ready prepped like a true lazy bones) it smells so good! Plus DD1, DS and I made a gingerbread house last night, we were intears of laughter by the end cause it looked so crap and wonky! Cass has already launched several attacks in an attempt to eat it tho so it must look OK to her!

MizK · 16/12/2012 16:57

doh just realised blizy and ponyo must have been out yesterday not today (am massive simpleton)

tadjennyp · 17/12/2012 05:21

Loving the Disney stories and hope dh gets his arse into gear for you ledkr

Get well soon wiggs. Hope you get your trip to Paris too.

Yay to gingerbread houses Mizk - mine did a train today, well dd mostly! Glad you have finished for the year too!

Loved the bauble for Zoe blizy - how you love and remember her is so tender. [hugs]

Sounds like a really busy day Ponyo!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Sammy keeps walking round singing 'jimmel bells' and 'jimmel bell rock'. He's also discovered a fondness for chocolate buttons. Thanks Dad! Can't get them here so that'll make a cheap present for his birthday for gps to send!

reastie · 17/12/2012 06:38

Blizy good luck for the GP apt today - let us know how it goes and make them give you an HCG (or whatever it's called) blood test or something just to find out once and for all what is up with AF

Wiggles hope you're all better now and Olivia and Sophia have escaped it.

Mizk hope the cabbage went well. I did that last year and it was really nice but I made wayyyyyy too much and we had enough to feed the 5000 just with cabbage Blush

Ledkr hope you're having a good time and DH is helping out a bit more. Dilly sounds so funny!

Hopefully I'm off to see needtosleepzzz today Grin

blizy · 17/12/2012 11:22

Reastie, I had an HCG blood test. I should find out the results by next week. Dh test has come back ok but with one of his numbers marginally low, he has an app on Thursday to discuss and for more info.

Say hi to needto for me and give Ben a hug!

reastie · 17/12/2012 18:13

Blizy keep us updated re: blood test. When I get blood tests they tell me it will take up to a week but they almost always have the results the next day if you ring the GP surgery in the afternoon

reastie · 17/12/2012 18:23

Right Wiggles and the non fb like, a couple of pictures of Alice and ben needto are now on profile Grin

wigglesrock · 17/12/2012 22:17

reastie Might like a nose, might like a nose, of course I bloody would Grin Well have to say think they are two of the cutest elves I have ever seen - I might have a little something in my eye at how quickly the bas are growing up. Hope NeedTo is doing well, I think of her a bit (that sounds much more romantic than its supposed to but ho hum Grin)

blizy good news about dh, if its marginally low maybe he can up his chances (does that sound a bit Benny Hill? Hmm) with some new pants/ positions etc. God is it just me or am I sounding a bit like I've been at the gin? Shock

Well I'm better after my shocking bout of illness, 12 hours of hell, but on the upside I may get into a previously tight pair of trousers Blush

Christmas fever has hit here, the girls finish school this Friday and we are visting/picking up/delivering presents from friends etc all weekend. I'm having my Mum, Nana, ashtray Aunt, Cousin etc round for a bit of a do on Sat afternoon, Mr W has already volunteered to go shopping that afternoon before work if I need him to Grin

Not even the lure of M&S party food could entice him to hang about for a few hours with my wine soaked, cig smoking, female relatives while they moan about work, men and men some more. And then my Nana can come out with some slightly offensive remark about the Police and whilst we all look taken aback and scundered she can then say to Mr W "oh I don't mean you pet, you're really one of us, you're just in it for the pension" Shock

Ah Pre Christmas drinks a la Wiggles - you are all invited Grin

blizy · 17/12/2012 22:53

Cool, just got the flight booked. See you sat wiggles Grin. I am a bit ashamed to say I don't have a clue who bunny hill is Blush! Glad you are feeling better.

wigglesrock · 17/12/2012 23:11

blizy I'll keep a seat beside Nana for you Grin Benny Hill - Oh I'm so old I'm referencing things that nobody else knows Grin Right time for bed. Mr W is on his works do but they've all been called in tomorrow so he was driving, having his dinner and then heading home.

americanexpat · 18/12/2012 18:02

wiggles - your family Christmas sounds amazing, bit like mine but classier. Grin I had a vomiting bug in February, it was horrible. The vomiting only lasted 6 hours but it took me 5 days to feel normal again.

L has had a fever, seems to be under control now with a bit of paracetamol. He slept 14 hours last night and I finally woke him at 9:45. Shock He was up at 4 and 6 but went back to sleep after a cuddle. He never wakes at night so I know he wasn't feeling well. Sad

It's snowing again. Grin We had a snow about a week ago but it melted in the rain at the weekend. It wasn't feeling like Christmas at all but it's coming down at a good clip now. We drove DH to work and the plows/gritters were already out. They don't waste any time here. Grin

Four4me · 19/12/2012 14:22

Hello

Just wanted to come and wish you all a very Happy Christmas!!!!

Glad you are all doing ok and congrats on the new bumps!!!

All good here, my gang are all excited for finishing school on Friday and the big day.

Xxxx

reastie · 19/12/2012 18:18

Hi four4 - glad you're all well, good to hear from you and Happy Christmas right back atcha Wink

American how is Leo now?

wiggles and blizy Grin at the Benny Hill remarks. I'm sure old timer Ledkr knows who he is . Wiggles mines an orange juice for Saturday please - hold it for me on ice Wink

[proud] it seems at the minute I'm DOTD again

Had my second CBT today - this lady is tons better than the NHS man I saw. I really hope she can help me more.

I'm getting slightly itchy as Alices christmas presents were despatched a week and 2 weeks ago but have not yet arrived. They keep telling me any day now for over a week Hmm . Luckily we have some other stuff and she's too young to know if it arrives late but I want it on time for her!

blizy · 19/12/2012 18:54

Hi 44me, glad you are all well. Hope you and yours have a fab Christmas!

Reastie, I'm glad you are finding the cbt helpful. Have you started on te ad's yet? Hope you are doing ok. Thanks

ledkr · 19/12/2012 23:33

Blizy what's the update then for auntie ledkr ?
We are back from the land of the mouse having had the journey from hell yesterday. Dh took his first ever sick today as we were so tired and traumatised. Lovely to be back home though ESP now I've hot all the festive food in so can drink baileys at random moments.
D not really wanting to settle tonight. Am now sat in bed with her fully clothed as she has woken up screaming and won't let me do anything.
Sometimes I think we should just get a massive bed and all sleep as we see fit.
Off to try and clean me teeth now. Last day at work tomorrow.

reastie · 20/12/2012 07:13

Ledkr glad you're back safely. What went wrong with the journey home? Hmm

americanexpat · 21/12/2012 01:29

L woke yesterday morning with his fever gone (was nearly 38C during the night), seems fine now but he's coughing.

reastie - glad you're finding the CBT useful. Are you still signed off work?

blizy - any news?

We're in the midst of a blizzard, we've had at least 12 inches of snow so far. Shock Everything was closed today, DH even stayed home. We tried to take L out to play in it but only lasted 10 minutes due to the wind. I don't know how we're going to get the car out tomorrow morning since they left a plough drift behind it. Hmm

ledkr · 21/12/2012 12:10

Blizy? Hmm?
Well d has become a sleep demon. Thread in aibu if Nyone has any ideas she has begun launching herself out of the cot as soon as I put her in it. Truly a complete nightmare.
Will tell you about journey later as am cleaning in my pjs whilst d naps in the car on drive

ILovePonyo · 21/12/2012 14:25

Hello all, I am off work today with a poorly A :( SHe's got worse all week and I couldn't send her in today, she was all snotty and sad this morning so she's sleeping on sofa at the mo. Her sleep has also been horrendous for what feels like weeks now, I am so tired Though from reading your thread ledkr shes not as bad as D, I'm going to comment/bump it in a mo.

american yikes to blizzard, stay safe (and warm!)

reastie what have you got A and has it arrived yet?

wiggles Grin at your family, that made me laugh. Illness sounds horrific, glad you're better now.

I really need to go and sort my house out so will have to at everyone else and go.

Oh, wanted to say A has become a ridiculously picky eater all of a sudden Hmm pretty much only wanting 'snack' but none of the snack I offer her Hmm She doesn't eat much proper food and I don't want to make it a big deal but I'm worried I'm doing something wrong, I don;t want a fussy eater! Grin

reastie · 21/12/2012 15:24

Ponyo yes yes to picky eaters. We are really struggling with Alice - she will only eat breakfast cereal when she feels like it, and usually only if I sprinkle some of my coco pops on the top of it Hmm and rarely eats any fruit or veg. She only likes biscuits, chocolate, cake, chicken nuggets and fish fingers, oh and cheese. I keep offering her veg in the hope but she's usually just appalled and throws it on the floor. I was talking about this with a friendlast week as her DD is the same. She said she mentioned it to her GP who told her it's normal and a phase and her DS would only eat chicken and bread and nothing else for 6 months at one point Shock . Oh, 2 of Alices parcels have arrived, one isn't her christmas present though, just a couple of pairs of PJs I bought her, the other parcel is a christmas dress. I'm awaiting various gruffalo parafinalia, accessories for her play kitchen, a teddy and a number of dress up outfits for said teddy and a play supermarket.

Ledkr will look at your thread later

american what's the snow like now? ALice and I are just watching the snowman Grin

Oh, it's my birthday today Grin . DH is home this afternoon and once the water heats up I'm off for an extended relaxing bath with a book - bliss. ALice has been a moaning mavis all day though, hope she's not coming down with something else so near to christmas.

ILovePonyo · 21/12/2012 15:52

reastie A is exactly the same The only fruit A will eat is satsuma, otherwise its tinned spaghetti and cheese, or pasta. Pasta is the only thing she'll properly eat atm, so annoying. She usually says " don't like it" dramatically when faced with anything else. Very reassuring the read I'm not alone though!
Ooh you've got A some lovely sounding presents :) We've only got A one book Shock (little rabbit foo foo for those familiar with it Grin) That makes me sound tight but my sis and mum have got her loads, so have dp's parents...

ILovePonyo · 21/12/2012 15:52

Oh bugger, HAPPY BIRTHDAY REASTIE!!!! Wine Thanks
