Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
debka · 16/11/2012 13:06

Hello you lovely lot, had you all forgotten me?

How are you all? I've missed you. Been really busy with work, life, bloody children... Grin

Actually S has been really poorly, nasty nasty cold but she's been under the weather, not eating, sleeping loads and stuck to me for nearly a week. Finally perked up today at last though.

DH is, I think, feeling left behind by me. I am getting on and living my life and he's just not keeping up. I'm not sure how to deal with this one...

Went to visit our first Big School with Imogen this week, not sure who was more excited, her or me.. DH decided he didn't want/need to come, he could find out anything he needed from the internet Hmm. Ah well, I do the legwork, I make the decisions.

ledkr · 16/11/2012 16:55

Hi deb that's what happened between me and knobhead I outgrew him. Not much help I guess.
We are off to see Julian clary tonight we are well excited

ILovePonyo · 16/11/2012 17:48

Hi all, A is much better thank god, she had such a scabby face, all on her nostrils and chin, her nose got better overnight on Wed and her chin is nearly cleared up. Medicine is obv working!

deb hope you're ok. Has your dh said anything or is it just a feeling you have? I'm a bit surprised he didn't go tot he school with you :(

ledkr did my training, it wasn't the caf training but the systems we use for recording all info about children. It was only half a day so that was good! Enjoy your evening sounds great!

reastie hope you got on ok at GP? A does the same with snacks, even with biscuits and breadsticks Shock Fussy madam!

tadj can't believe they're not allowed christmas songs in school!! I'd be really annoyed about that and I'm not religious at all Grin

wiggles Grin at A and her "nooooo mameeeeeee" I sometimes catch A saying mummy in a Notts accent which is something like "mum-eh" I will have to put a stop to that soon...

I start my new job on monday so A will go full time at nursery, I am feeling a bit worried/like a bad mum, hope its not too much for her?
We went to the last messy play (for us) today, A was very good and charming for most of it (excpet for the odd tantrum over toys) which made me feel worse about the new job Hmm

reastie · 16/11/2012 18:22

Hiya

Just a quickie

Ponyo so glad Anya is getting better. Don't feel bad about nursery, I bet she'll love it (she already has fun doesn't she?) and plus you're building a happy life for yourself in your new job and also this is hopefully helping towards you moving house and getting her in to a nice school etc etc.

deb I hope things are OK for you and DH. I'm a bit Hmm that he didn't want to see the school.

Ledkr have a fab time tonight - sounds like a lovely laid back evening out

Grin at the accents of the feb babies toddlers. Alice talks with a bit common like like DH Wink nothing I can't straighten out though

Thanks for well wishes re: GP. She's put me on citalopram. Collect it tomorrow and this time I will take it (unlike the seroxat!) I'm desperate !

ILovePonyo · 16/11/2012 18:34

Reastie I think I was on citalopram for a while years ago and it helped me, unlike bloody seroxat that made me even worse SadAngry glad you're going to take it!

tadjennyp · 16/11/2012 19:05

Citalopram helped me too, reastie. I hope it does the trick for you.

Sorry about dh debka. I'd be really cross if dh decided he wasn't going to come and check things like that out, without a really good reason.

Good luck with the new job Ponyo. You will do so well!

The large lump on my thyroid is benign! Hurray.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

wigglesrock · 16/11/2012 19:38

tadjennyp xxxxxxxx, great news. I know you weren't worried Grin but its still a bit of a relief.

ponyo yay for A feeling better and don't worry about the nursery and full time, honestly it'll be fine.

ledkr meant to say saw your thread in Children Health re D - hope she turns a corner soon. Anna has finally started to shake off the cough and general lethargy that has been dogging her for ages. She appears to be much better but it took about 4 weeks tbh. Have a fab time tonight xx

debka just sending hugs, big ones. How exciting for you Imogen, big school rocks Grin

reastie really glad you got to GP and another vote for citalopram here xx

blizy are you heading away this weekend? Envy

Mr W off this weekend, so going to keep our fingers crossed it warms up a bit and we head to the park/seaside in the morning [brrrrrr brrrrrr] and my aunt is taking S and O to Disney on Ice on Sunday morning (rather her than me Grin). They went last year and loved it and this year the old eejit has went and booked them seats actually on the ice (think she may have to remortgage the house and thats before she gets to the concessions Shock)

Have put some photos of A up - well its been at least a week Blush

blizy · 16/11/2012 21:26

Hi, yes wiggles we fly out tomorrow morning. I am sipping cocktails in our hotel room just nowGrin.

Sorry to hear about the poorly babies, hope they are better soon.

Reastie, I feel loads better now I am on my ad's. hope you are ok?
Right better go Dh is giving me a funny lookGrin.

wigglesrock · 16/11/2012 21:38

blizy have a fantastic time xxxxxx

Mr W has brought me home Ryan Gosling in a dvd shaped box Grin so I'm off to enjoy.

tadjennyp · 16/11/2012 22:21

Thanks wiggles - have a lovely weekend everyone, especially blizy on her Vegas break! What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, remember that. X

ILovePonyo · 18/11/2012 20:47

Blizy hope you are having a fab time, I doubt it will be anything but fab though tbh! Grin

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I am nervous about starting new job tomo. Help!! Grin I think it's induction and I don't have to be there til 10am so it should be fine

We have spent most of the weekend driving around like numpties trying to find a new car to buy, who would have thought it would be so hard Angry Everything is either too expensive or too small/old/high mileage. Either that or I am too picky Wink
Think we will just go back to available car which is pretty much a massive car supermarket and find one there next weekend. Boooring. The only good thing there is they have a mini soft play which A loved when we went yesterday, she's been good this weekend and very funny, lots of chasing the cats around wagging her finger shouting "no kitty. NOT FUNNY!" and singing baa baa. SHEEP!

ledkr · 18/11/2012 21:11

Good luck ponyo with job.
D has been a moany bint today I was fed up with her and got little done. Dh working again so really lonely. In the past I used to enjoy weekend when he worked. Out on the piss Saturday then hangover Sunday spent either chillin with Ella or taking her to cinema shopping or lunch. It was the races today too but couldn't get anyone to look after moany pants [sad{ sorry for moaning its pmt week.
Love to all ESP blizy x

ILovePonyo · 18/11/2012 21:21

It makes a difference tho ledkr, when A is moany and clingy it completely does my head in and can really get me down, esp if I was doing it on my own Sad hope you're ok and thanks for the good luck x

ledkr · 18/11/2012 21:28

Thanks x I feel so bloody ungrateful especially when I think of Zoe, I wish I could enjoy this time but its so hard.
Going to book a sitter for few hrs on dh weekends on. Even just for few hrs so I'm not so isolated. Don't mind on the summer when I can go off in my can but these long winter weekends are horrible

ILovePonyo · 18/11/2012 21:34

I feel ungrateful sometimes too but let's be honest, constant whining is very trying!
When my dp has been away at weekends I pretty much always go to my mums, it's hard soon it on your own.

ILovePonyo · 18/11/2012 21:36

*doing it on your own I meant, stupid phone.
I think getting a sitter is one of the best things you can do, good plan Smile

Grannyapple · 18/11/2012 22:15

Evening ladies!

ledkr/ponyo totally agree...makes everything harder when the bubbas are v whingy. Thankfully N has been OK this w/e & v funny...MIL is down in 2 weeks..I'm betting he'll be a right wee grump then..when I'll also be a bit of a grump as I'll have a house guest Grin

blizy hope you're having a fab time in Vegas...certainly looks like it from the fb pics!

reastie - hope you're doc appt went well? I've finally got my ass into gear & put the pics of the windows up..just pm me if you have any questions Smile

wiggs love the new pics - can't belive how long Anna's hair is...she looks v cute & gorgeous!

Well...I have a bit of news ladies...found out I'm 4 weeks pg last w/e Shock. Well we had been trying, but thought it wouldn't happen this year...but we're really pleased, if finding it a bit surreal at the mo (never really feels real at this stage, eh?). Just feeling tired at the mo, but intrigued as to how this pregnancy will feel given that I'l be chasing around after a toddler this time, as opposed to chilling/ long baths when I get in from work (sigh...). Have only told sis & a close friend (oh & few people on mumsnet Wink).. Have an early scan booked for mid December but will tell MIL when she's down & might tell rest of family at Christmas... Tis typical though that I think about increasing my days & then get pg...meeting boss a week on Monday to discuss additional days but don't think I'll mention pg until things are a bit clearer re: the extra days....

Feels like everything is ages away re: appts/ scans but no doubt Christmas will be here soon enough & I'll regret that statement Grin.

Off to my kip ladies...night night..

Grannyapple · 18/11/2012 22:38

Sorry ponyo...forgot to say good luck fur tomorrow (it'll prob all go better than you think!) & good luck with the car hunting!

ILovePonyo · 18/11/2012 22:51

Granny Shock Grin massive congrats!! Wow, what a surprise, am so pleased for you (you're a brave woman Wink)

reastie · 19/11/2012 07:20

Just popped on to say GOOD LUCK ponyo

But also a hhhhuuuuggggggeeeeee congrats to Granny . Just make sure you don't leave us for the new ante natal thread Grin . Thanks for the windows piccies. That does actually help alot to see the trim etc. I still have a few questions (mainly as I'm so nervous about spending so much money on something where I only know the company from someone I've never met IYKWIM) and will pm you at some point.

ledkr · 19/11/2012 08:22

Wow congrats granny. Our first feb second that we know of. I'm always dumbfounded when I hear someone's pg when already have a toddler till I remember that I had 3 under 6 lol. No wonder I'm a wreck.
Well baby d slept for 14 hrs last night and me for nearly as much Grin

Emski76 · 19/11/2012 13:08

Granny, yyaaaaaahhhhhhhhh amazing and exciting news!! led, your right, Granny is our first second baby person!!!!! I'm so flipping fecking pleased for you!!

Led, 14 hour sleep last night sounds fantastic!

Reastie, have you started your AD's yet? I too am on citalopram. They are fab. Be prepared to feel worse for a few weeks while they kick in though. They really take the edge off my anxiety and depression.

Ponyo, hope your first day at your new job is fab.

We put our Xmas tree up yesterday after helping by bff buy and put up his new tree. Dh is such a misery though. At my friends we put on Xmas music and ate choccies while doing it, Ben helped too. At home, dh either was out of the room or sat on the sofa watching. I just wanted him to get excited like me!!

reastie · 19/11/2012 14:55

Thanks ems I went to pick it up at the week end but as the GP wasn't clear about dosage the chemist wouldn't give them to me Angry , so picking them up later this week. I can't believe you've got your christmas tree up already! I thought I would be early doing mine the first week end in december! Got my elf on the shelf all set too Grin .

Grannyapple · 19/11/2012 18:50

Ah thank you lovely ladies...don't worry, no danger of me leaving this thread Grin.

I'll be putting out tree up too 1st w/e in December when MIL is down...inky chance we'll get..hopefully go buy it when N is getting fed by MIL & then we'll put it up when N is sleeping hopefully...canny wait to see his wee face. He was loving the decs up at the local shopping centre!

But...I have now become the type of person I swore I'd never be with a tree up on 1st dec Grin

ILovePonyo · 19/11/2012 19:50

Hi all, just popping on to say my first day was pretty fab :) Everyone was lovely and I'm looking forward to getting stuck into my work as some of today was spent reading boring policies and procedures... Am looking forward to tomorrow though!

Grin granny I always said I'd never bother with a tree etc but I'm going to have to this year arent I, never have done before!

emski boo to your dh Wink any excuse to eat chocs is good for me

reastie "elf on a shelf" Shock Grin

We put A to bed at 6.30 bcos she was shattered bless her.
