wigglesrock · 23/07/2012 09:49

blizy sorry dh is being such a numpty xx Is he off this week?

Will be back later - have had to run and get O an emergency dr appt for her throat, S starts swimming club this morning, A is being "boisterous" and I have Emma [agggh] Thank God for my pil Grin

debka · 23/07/2012 09:52

O dearie dear I would find that soooo hard blizy, thinking of you. And you know we think of Zoe a lot here too xxx

reastie who's Jodie Marsh? Big well done on the impressive muscle mass Grin I'm all muscle, me Hmm We must set a date for meeting up, any suggestions?

All much better here, I've been to see Chloe and taken the girls too. She is ever so sweet, but tbh she does seem a bit floppy, but it has been a while since I held such a new one. My sis is doing a brilliant job, and her DH seems to be really supportive Envy

Set for sunshine now, got the shorts on and planning bbqs and trips to the seaside [excited]. Anyone else got sunshine plans for the week?

blizy · 23/07/2012 10:24

wiggles No he is working, he is working Glasgow just now, so I have the joy of having him home later. Hope Olivia is ok?

debka Thanks, yay to finally meeting Chloe. Sun? Can you please remind me what that is?

debka I'm with blizy - weather was good here last week, warm but cloudy at the weekend and pissing with rain from midnight last night but very hot - its minging Grin

Olivia has another v infected throat - GP going to try and nuke it with extra strong antibiotics and a longer course Sad Olivia is being more stoic than me Grin We're currently watching the Jungle Book and then Sofia has picked Hotel for Dogs! Rain or no rain I'm taking A and E out for a looong walk Grin - Mr W should be home soon, I'm not obviously leaving S and O alone Shock

onmehols · 23/07/2012 12:22

blizy for what its worth mama onmehols would get her own back big stylee lol. DH knows it too,if he did that id probably fuck off to Ibiza with the kids for 2 weeks im well known for my dramatic gestures.

wiggs i hope o is ok. sore throats are the pits.

About to move to our next location. it is 29 DEGREES yummy.

americanexpat · 23/07/2012 13:23

blizy - sorry I didn't post to you over the weekend. It's so unfair what happened to Zoe, that you don't get to see her grow up. Of course you miss her horribly and you always will. Have you spoken to your DH about how you felt Saturday? Massive hugs to you.

onemehols - 29?! We had the heating on last night! I have shed my cardigan today though. Grin

What's this about the sun? Raining here again. Hmm

Shock at Jodie Marsh.

We took L to the aquarium yesterday, he loved it, had his little face pressed against the glass like Shock. Grin He's at the new nursery today, was a little quiet when I left him but I'm sure he'll be running around like the others when I collect him.

ILovePonyo · 23/07/2012 18:53

Oh help - A has forgotten how to go to sleep! Shock She was up til 10Sat night and 9pm last night, today I got her from nursery and she was shattered, nodding that she wanted to go to bed and cuddling up on me. We've put her to bed and shes all of a sudden awake and doing peekaboo Hmm I am typing this to distract myself from her super loud booing :( I know we need to leave her to sleep but its hard...

How can she have forgotten how to go to sleep in 3 nights?!

american aquarium sounds great, I want to take A again this summer, she loved it last year. Can't believe you had the heating on, its boiling here! That is not a boast, I do not like being hot and sweaty Blush

blizy hope you've had a nice day today and your dh is feeling suitably ashamed of himself when he gets back.

wigs poor O, hope she feels better soon. How was your hectic day?

onmehols enjoy the break and hope D gives you at least one lie in Wink

Ahhhh she is still crying, she is loud and stubborn just like her bloody dad not like me at all oh no

reastie · 23/07/2012 19:18

Oh dear ponyo . Maybe she'll have a lie in tomorrow Hmm

blizy have you talked to DH about what happened at the week end? it's just if he's done it before and did it at the week end I think he may need it pointing out that he's being in wiggles speak a numpty. I was thinking earlier I wish we lived closer

onmehols 29 you say? I will raise you on that - our local forecast for tomorrow is 30 Shock . Tis baking here - what's all this of cold and rain blizy and wiggles - I've been baking today

Been madly cleaning today as have a friend over tomorrow (not that it's not always clean of course Wink ). I feel like I clean all the time and yet still there's always so much that needs doing Confused - please tell me having a properly clean and tidy home with a toddler is a myth unless you have help or are a little obsessional about it or spend your life cleaning or super super organised??

debka · 23/07/2012 21:24

reastie come to my place, it's dusty, toys stacked all over the shelves (not on the floor, note [proud]), always dishes on the draining board, random stuff and paperwork everywhere, but it's the happiest house I know :)

ponyo really hope A is asleep now- agree you just have to leave her, she'll get it in the end.

Hot here too but we are LOVING IT, outside all day today and planning a first-thing-in-the-morning trip to the seaside tomorrow, before Imy's pre school boosters

Grannyapple · 23/07/2012 22:02

Hi ladies...been a bit manic here.. N had a wee op last week to correct undescended testes..1st one of 2 ops. Was horrible when he came round...he couldn't stop crying for 45 mins. But after that,he was totally fine...I swear he gained super powers after that op...he was crazy!! Have had family down staying with us since 14th July...last day for them tomorrow...cannot WAIT to get the house back to ourselves!

ponyo I feel ur pain re:non sleeping babies...I thought it was to do with his op & then being in our room while we have visitors (& us not finding it so easy to ignore him then!) but N was awake from midnight till 1.30am....& again from 3am til 4.30am....was not amused when he was awake at 6am this morning Confused.

blizy thx for ur fb message. Tis shit what you've gone through & r still not pg but I obv don't need to tell you that... & dh prob does need a quiet word re being a numpty (as wiggs so politely put it).

onmehols glad to hear ur having a ball over in sunny France.

debka massive woo hoo & well done on the weight loss....u r truly amazing!

Super hot here too...went to Whitstable beach today...was fab & N had a ball getting filthy, trying to run into the see & playing with the stones on the beach, into his sand bucket...

Off to have another sleepless night x

Grannyapple · 23/07/2012 22:03

Excuse typo...I of course know how to spell sea Wink

ILovePonyo · 23/07/2012 22:23

Grin granny at your typo, ooh thats harsh of N with the regular wakings, its so tiring isn't it.

reastie my house is organised mess Grin i have a big tidy up at the end of the day otherwise A just ends up destroying everything again.

deb dp took A out in the car Blush she went to sleep though... Hmm love the description of your house as the happiest, thats lovely :)

God poor A and poor us surely sleep gets better as they get older not worse? we let her cry for an hour before dp took her out in the car where she dropped off after 5 mins Heres hoping for good babies tonight all round

debka · 24/07/2012 06:57

Oo bugger ponyo really hope she sorts it aaaat tonight...

grannyapple poor little N having an op on his bits, glad he's recovered ok. Guess what, we're going to Whitstable today too! DH has to deliver some more pictures for his dad, we'll have a play on the beach and an ice lolly whilst we're there.

blizy · 24/07/2012 07:25

Morning all, Envy at the beach trips. Still raining here Angry.

ponyo I hope Anya slept well.

I had a big talk with dh last night, I finally manged to tell how I am feeling (the no holding back and raw version). We both think I may be slightly depressed. I have no motivation to do anything, I dread seeing people, not sleeping, I have a constant knot in my stomache/throat, frequently teary, headaches and always tired. I also panic at the thought of being drunk and have had a few panic attacks. What do you lot think? I am going to the doctors to sort out some councelling.

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 24/07/2012 08:20

Morning,

Blizy get to the docs today. Good for you for being so honest with your dh, it can be hard putting yourself out there like that. I don't know what will or won't work for you but if you get to the docs today it's the first step, if the doc is unhelpful ask to see someone else. Let us know how you get on (hug)

Deb enjoy your day at the beach!

For those interested A woke at 5 Hmm She is officially a pain in the arse Grin good job she's cute.

Can I just have a moan that my hair is completely crap, I'm going to see if I can get it cut in my lunch break, don't know how realistic that is Hmm

wigglesrock · 24/07/2012 09:47

blizy quick post - that's exactly how I felt when I was diagnosed with anxiety/depression - especially the not seeing people. I have't really drunk much alcohol at all since then - almost 10 years ago now Shock Get to GP ASAP - don't rule out anti-ds xxxxxx

See you later - have been having mother issues recently and she wants to talk it better be an apology Grin Vodka and sneaky cigs may be needed later!!!

americanexpat · 24/07/2012 10:50

blizy - Get yourself to the GP and like someone else said, don't let them fob you off. You deserve to feel better.

Ponyo - get your hair sorted, I always feel better when I've had it done. [swishes]

reastie - Our house is a tip until L goes to bed. DH tries to keep him out of the cupboards, tried to get me to keep him out of the cupboards until I told him I don't care. Grin It keeps him occupied while I get on with other stuff and it takes 10 minutes to blitz around the house after he's in bed. I try to keep the messiest things out of reach though. Our house will not pass a white glove test though (and I don't care).

Granny - poor N and you. When's the next op?

I can't remember if I said that we have tickets to the Olympics football tomorrow in Glasgow, hopefully the weather is good. Then my mum and aunt are over on Friday for a week. [whirlwind]

blizy · 24/07/2012 11:29

american My mil and nephew are going to the football tomorrow too, hope you enjoy it.

I have to wait until tomorrow to phone the DR for an appointment, they have a weird system here. I can't believe I have been hiding my feelings for so long, I guess it is just to easy to pin on a smile and say I'm "fine". I really am not fine, I know that now. I have started spotting, so af will arrive on time, I am not too bothered about it tbh. It is dh's birthday on Sunday and we were supposed to be having friends round on Saturday night for a bit of a party, dh has cancelled it. I feel so bad for him Sad.

OP posts:
WeAreBorg · 24/07/2012 12:26

Hello
First post on my brand new iPhone so hopefully might have some amusing typos. Blizy I'm really surprised you haven't been down the docs sooner, with all you've been through, you're just amazing. People get depressed over so much less than what you have been through.
Granny, oh poor wee Nate how is he doing?
Ponyo ha ha guess what Nate is sleeping. He has been in bed for around 830 to 9 the past few weeks, wakes when we co
E to bed then wakes about 6 for a boob. He then goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours! He has nearly dropped his daytime nap so I am wondering if he will be cured once that's dropped.
Reastie, er, I don't know how to break this to you but.....I have a cleaner I tidy in the evening like American does, we embrace the mess during the day

Sunny here, taken n to a farm park hoping he won't wallop any of the animals this time

Emski76 · 24/07/2012 13:08

Hi all
Firstly Blizy, so glad youve spoken to dh and are going to see the doctor. I too am very good at hiding my depression but every now and then the crakcs would begin to show. I can honestly say after CBT and being on anti d's, I very rarely get down. I think you need someone to talk to who was not directly touched by Zoe, tell them your true feelings. I lit our candle for Zoe last night, I explained to dh that her mummy was feeling abit sad.

Ponyo, boo to A's rubbish sleep! Shes a little monkey isnt she? I guess the world is a more exciting place to the little ones now so why would she want to snuggle down and go back to sleep when she can get up and party!

Re: messy houses. Let it be Reastie, do as I do and ignore the mess untol the end of the day then shove it all in a corner. I hoover around the boys twice a week, polish as I notice the dust and clean the kitchen sides after washing up every day. i have plans for a lovely house once Noah is around 5 and stops wiping his runny nose on my sofa! Borg: im blowing raspberries at you re your cleaner! Hope N is ok after his wee op. I saw the photos on Facebook.

Well, Ive bitten the bullet (?) and signed up for a level 3 teaching assistant course, its home study and I've already read the first module! I cannot continue working at this place unless i know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Wiggles hope all is okwith you and your mum.

Onmehols. sounds like your having a fab break!

Dh and I are off work tomorrow so are popping to the beach and out for lunch without the boys!!!!!!!

Catch y'all later!

reastie · 24/07/2012 14:45

May I just remind you all that Alice doesn't go to bed till maybe 8:30 every evening, and I'm usually heading towards bead around 9 Blush Shock - this doesn't leave much evening tidy up time Hmm . I bought some posh smelly diffuser things from John Lewis today so maybe I should just give up on the cleaning as the house will at least smell nice Wink

argh, blizy need to post a msg for you but have to go...back later

reastie · 24/07/2012 15:29

right,, I'm back Grin . Yy to seeing the GP. I know with my pnd (which I know isn't at all the same thing, but I was depressed) it got to the point of me driving the car and wishing I'd have an accident and die ( Shock ) before I did anything about it. I'd definitely recommend writing down everything you feel to show the GP - I did that as I knew if I told her I'd make light of it and not be able to tell her how bad I was sometimes. Let us know how you get on and well done for talking it through with DH - that can be really really hard to do.

ems go you with the course Grin

borg good to hear from you and Envy of your iphone my mobile phone is a complete philistine brick in comparison

deb love your happy house comment.

Sorry to anything I forgot to comment on Blush

blizy · 24/07/2012 15:43

Thank you all, your support still amazes me. Thanks

Emski- fab news about the course! How long will it take to complete? How is tinkerbell?

Borg- wow at Nate sleeping more!
Hope you both the farm.

Wiggles- how did it go with your mum?

I have just collected my 2 mindees, they are fast asleep again! I could get use to this.

OP posts:
Emski76 · 24/07/2012 17:54

Hey Reastie, my phone is very similar to yiursM dh keeps trying to convince me that I need a better phone but I'm happy to just call or text!

Blizy, I can study the course at my own speed, they said it can be completed in four months, don't think I can manage that tho, dh has said he'll try to look after Noah every Thursday afternoon from Sept so I can help out at Bens school to get some more experience.

Hope your all ok.

Emski76 · 24/07/2012 17:59

Blizy, forgot to say thanx for asking after Tinkerbell. She's lovely, desperate to go outside now. She's booked in to be spayed and microchipped on Thursday then has to have her vaccinations before she can adventure outside.
Hope cutey little Alfie is ok x
