Reastie- I'm glad Alice is ok. Sleeping is much the same. I keep trying to get an appointment for the DR, but as she is the best one in the practice they are like gold dust. Well done with the weight loss btw, mines has plateaued (I seem to be comfort eating again Sad).

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Oh dear oh dear. Went to pils over the weekend and ended up having a fecking meltdown on the way cos Ella was being ridiculous (long story) and dh did nothing to help. Then had to go into his Nans with red puffy eyes and an attitude that I had to hide whilst I grinned like a cheshire cat.
It wasnt his fault tbh but we ended up having a frosty weekend followed by a big "heart to heart" last night during which he said I went on at him all the time (true) and I ended up telling him he was useless when I was pg (also true) and that I am bloody depressed and knackered and I go on at him because he does fuck all (not true). It was horrible and the worst we have ever been tbh. I had a really important meeting today early and got stuck in traffic on the way and ended up crying at work.
Does anyone else still feel overwhelmed by it all.I seem to have piles of washing everywhere and constant stuff to do and never get a break. D is sleeping better but Els is a bundle of anxiety and cals to us untill midnight and makes a bloody fuss about everything.
Sorry for massive self indulge but it does feel good to write it down somehow.
Feel ok tonight and dh has made a big roast and Ella is bathing D who was so pleased I was home that she climbed into the car before I could get out Grin
We are kind of skirting around each other politely which we have never done before.

I feel like deleting that but I will see what you all have to say anyway Hmm

Oh ledkr Sad . I'm so glad you did post that and didn't delete. What a rubbish week end. Trying to gleam a positive from it though - hopefully now you've talked about it it has a hope of getting better, whereas, carrying on as you were was just festering things about. Are you still on the prozac for pmt? I know you said a while ago you thought you were depressed - is that still the case? Tbh I feel very much bogged down by everything all the time - the house always feels like a tip and there's always so much to do. I have to organise myself within an inch of my life to get out of the house in time for work, everything is such an effort. I feel guilty when I clean when I'm looking after Alice as I want to play with her but when I play with her I can't concentrate on playing with her as I just think of everything I need to do. I guess it's all a juggling act and this blooming feminist thing of doing it all just isn't possible - something has to give - you can't bring up children and do all the housework and cooking and work and clean up after DHs. I don't really have any advice but I do know exactly how you feel, only it must be harder for you as you have 2 with you and you've been there done it all before in that you've had your fair share of night wakings etc etc - it must all take it's toll. On a seperate note, how is your DSs health btw (with the kidney problems)? I don't know if that helped you at all but I'm here listening.

blizy it's rubbish you're still not sleeping - I'm glad you can see a good GP though. Any sign of AF yet?

Well, can I proudly state I am wearing a size 18 dress today and I tried on jeans in sainsburys today and the size 18s fit me. Yes, I know, size 18 isn't exactly slim Hmm - but, 3 months ago I was 2 sizes bigger than that Blush so this is a huge achievement - finally my clothes are getting too roomy for me Grin [cheers] and, even better, my engagement ring fits again - I haven't worn it since I was 20 weeks pg when it got too small for my fat water retention filled fingers. Just got to lose a bit more so the wedding ring will fit

ledkr sounds awful, you poor thing. Must be so hard when you're working so much as well, and in a stressful job. Good that you had a heart to heart though, you must keep talking. Why is Ella so insecure at the moment? Is it knobhead exH? Can you spend some extra time with her to try and reassure her that all will be well? I do think that sleep plays a massive part in feeling on top of things. I get an unbroken 9 hours every night and life is fine, I'm coping. I do only work a few hours a week though, that probably helps too life of riley Grin Mucho love to you and a big hug xxx

reastie WOWEE to the size 18, you're the same as me now Grin Feels good, doesn't it! How is work going? Have you been hauled in over the poor exam results? Any decisions over private school?

blizy push push push for the appointment, it'll be worth it :)

wigglesrock you ok sweetheart? Hope the girls are healthy now...

Imogen has her first full day at preschool tomorrow, I absolutely can't wait Blush. DH is away so I'll have a whole 2 hrs (fx) to Do Stuff On My Own whilst S sleeps after lunch. Any suggestions of what I do?

Report
wigglesrock · 17/09/2012 20:32

Ach bless GOLDdebka I'm fine, my non attendance has for once been due to my social life Shock which for once has been busier than the girls Grin

A is on the mend - have to take her to GP to make sure infection has left her larynx - I know thats spelt wrong Grin but if her performance screaming and giving off when picking S up from school is anything to go by - she's feckin' fine Blush

I went to the fancy dan party in Dublin - it was fun but I'm too old for Dublin methinks. Driving up and down in the same night was murder though.

ledkr it can be really hard having a partner who works shifts, I think, sometimes we're like ships that pass in the night and I can be a bit resentful. What about getting a cleaner in for a few hours? I know you said that going into work was a godsend but would some time off help?

ponyo where is your friend moving too? I'm about 20 mins outside Belfast, but NI is really small so when you visit her I could stalk you anywhere Grin

reastie well done on the jeans Grin

ledkr · 18/09/2012 20:04

Thanks girls it does help. Feel a little better today but Ella is still a nightmare.I contacted my friend who is a nutritionalist and homeopath and she has recomended stuff for me to try. She also invited me round to drink wine on Thursday so that will help more Grin
Deb and reastie well done on the weight loss,i'm so impressed. I know how hard it is,i'm having another crack at sw now but being strict and i will be re joining gym this week.
Dills is just lush at the moment, her hair is so long and she is a proper little girl. She says loads now too.All aggressive though "get back" "get away you" and "out there" and "that one" she frowns all the time but with a wry smile it makes me laugh.
wiggs So scary what happened to those wpc's I asked dh if he was ever going back on the beat and he said he might. It made me feel all cross and worried but he says its only a thought he has had.
Im quite lucky that he works in the cells but I realise that may not always be the case.

Report
wigglesrock · 18/09/2012 20:27

ledkr glad you feel a bit better and wine always helps Grin

So sad about the pcs - Mr W is a 999 first responder and he had a hairy incident last weekend and I know it was bad because he told me about it, so was probably really really bad Hmm He joined specifically to be a 999er and he's very good at it, but I'm disliking it more and more. Cuts everywhere, no staff, people doing too long shifts, too close together, its a nightmare waiting to happen and they're armed here.

I'm surprised by how much A says too, my parents are back from holiday and they bought her a doll (from Tescos not France Grin) and she has run around all day saying "babee, Nana, holday" Grin

Its so cold here Shock

Report
blizy · 19/09/2012 09:30

Ledkr- I'm glad you are feeling an bit better, enjoy the wine.

Wiggles- it's freezing here too, I have had to bring out the winter jacket and cost boots already Shock

Reastie- how are you doing?

AF has arrived Sad. I have no wee ones today so I am snuggled up on the couch watching game of thrones. Its a holiday weekend here, I'm supposed to be going to a wedding (evening do) but the bloody alternator has gone in the car and i cant get into the garage until tues Angry. DH is taking me to the football on Sunday (such a romanticWink) I'm looking forward to it, not been to a match since before i was pg. Anyhoo, enough I'd my drivel, I hope you are all well.

blizy boo to AF and missing the wedding do. Hope you enjoy the football Hmm

wiggles look at anna talking so much. Alice doesn't really say that much still, but she does lots of baby signs . Fancy pants party in Dublin eh?! Sounds fun

Where is borg ? I miss her wit Grin

ledkr hope the homeopathic bits for Ella work and the wine too . Must be really difficult.

deb it's all gone quiet re: exam results situ . No decision re: private school but I'm considering forcing getting DH and Alice and I to go to church regularly to get in to the nice local school (well, I can't be assured a place but it means it'll be 'likely' ). I realise this sounds completely awful to those that do actually go to church anyway and if I were to put this on another thread elsewhere in mn I would get flamed, but I hope you'll be nicer and understand sort of. Work is still rubbish though - had awful parents evening last night with a very tricky father who has very unrealistic expectations of his not very bright son and then today a rubbish lesson and came home and cried again Sad , but, I do have good lessons too, so I live in hope I guess it'll get better somehow. Thanks for asking (and blizy too). BTW I'm not officially a size 18 yet so I'm not up to you're slim figure Grin - just some size 18 things fit unfortunately some don't too . I really need to go shopping to get a few bits as everything either hangs off me or is way too tight - nothing inbetween.

Morning all, sorry I've not been on lots...

Wigs I am Blush because my friend isn't moving to NI Blush sorry Smile Hope A is better and you're feeling better too.

Ledkr have you been to your homeopath friend yet? Sorry to hear things have been a bit rubbish, I did like your description of D being funny, she sounds a bit feisty like A Grin

Reastie a friend of mine did the exact same thing re school and church. I'm not religious so it wouldn't bother me/I dont know how frowned upon it is. fwiw dp is getting v stressed at school at the moment, his class is "nuts" apparently and he seems to have a lot more work to do at home Hmm

Blizy sorry about Af. I love game of thrones, I really got into the tv series and am currently reading book 4 on my lovely kindle Grin enjoy the footy!

I might need some advice, ive been taking my pill for the past month but been bleeding every day and am currently bleeding loads Confused Not sure whether to go to docs or just wait it out?!

In other news A is fine but I've decided not to take her to our regular singing today, she screeches through it and it a general pain in the arse Blush so I'm giving up Grin

Um I'm on combined I think reastie Grin I was crap at taking it for a while so dont know if I'm having a v early mc, i might not be but it's very heavy and painful like when I've had them before. Think I'll see how it is tomo and go to the docs, I don't want to waste their time tho. Hmm.

I am Envy at Alice, what a good girl! A was up at half 6 Hmm

ponyo Shock - don't think docs would think you were wasting their time at all. Had to wake Alice up in the end at 8:30 Shock Shock - I've managed to do cleaning and everything already this morning Grin . She doesn't ever go to bed until 8/8:30 remember though and she hasn't slept through properly for about 2 weeks and before that was frequently up for the day around 5am - so I think we deserve some good sleep now please!

Dilly doo dah slep well last night too but the night before she was up with her teeth from 12-2. I gave up and sat downstairs with her and we watched Shameless and ate toast Grin I just give up haha.
Ella was hideous so she is now grounded, still calling at 11.30 Hmm
BLIZY friggin af. What a damn long time its all taking, how frustrating.
ponyo Id see the Dr,I think that happened to me once but it was the mini pill that did it. Contraception is such a pain isnt it?
Yesterday a massive spider crawled out of my blowers and ran towards me on the dashboard WHILST I WAS DRIVING!!! Nightmare. I had to pull over and ring dh.
He didnt find it so i had to drive to work today like a lunatic looking around me all the way.

Report
Grannyapple · 20/09/2012 12:31

Oh sorry ledkr but your spider story made me laugh...I'd have been the exact same Grin.

Sorry to hear of bleeding ponyo..defo go see doc, if only to put your mind at rest..,

Well done reastie 's A on the sleep...should defo have had a lie in!!

All well here....have decided to stop pestering dh re:moving so instead have bought a new rug & coffee table for the living room, & getting new sash windows for N's room & kitchen (had ours done last year...made such a difference to hear in our room, felt guilty about N's room). Will just see how it goes in our current place if we have another. But now have the clearing out bug as I want my house back, recovered from all the spillages & toys N has! So big clear out will be happening thus w/e, much to dh's delight Grin.

reastie · 20/09/2012 12:42

ohh granny can I pick your brains re: sash windows [very boring] - we're having new ones done soon and we got a quote in last night for replacement double glazed wooden sash windows at £13000 for 9 windows and a door - does this sound about right to you on what you paid? Also, if you would recommend the people who did your windows before would you mind pming me their details so we can get another quote in? Thanks Grin . Envy of your new furniture. I'm inheriting some money from my Granny ( Sad ) so we are getting the windows done and are hoping to knock down a supporting wall and have a big kitchen diner too (if budget allows) - I can't wait to get rid of all the junk we have everywhere and design a room with lots of built in storage Grin

I got fed up with all of my jeans falling down so I went out and got a pair of size 18s from tesco this morning - they fit Grin [proud]

ledkr - Grin to the spider story. DH here is scared of spiders so I have to be the grown up and remove them from the house etc for him when he finds them!

Report
Grannyapple · 20/09/2012 14:07

Hey reastie, yeah will do. Just noticed that post should've said the windows made a difference to the heat in our room! Ours worked out at around £1k per window. But I did have someone try to 'refurbish' our sash windows a few years back & it was a waste of money...wish I'd kept the money & put it towards the new ones we are getting/got. Ha ha...rug & table are from Next...won't be spending in the house for a while after this me thinks!

Thanks granny love the piccies of windows Nate Grin . We were originally thinking of refurbishing our windows but DH wants double glazed so we've waited to just get them redone. Glad we didn't bother now!

I saw my old teenage crush (as in RL person I knew not celeb) on TV last night Shock - would not have recognised him at all - he hasn't aged very well also may I add Confused - took me a bit aback. I was so shocked I didn't tell DH Blush .

ledkr there was a fly in my car this morning which kept buzzing around my head - it wouldn't go out of the window. I think it was there to spite me after giggling at your spider story!

Just sitting with a rubbish stomach ache Sad . I've had a lousy week with really bad sleep and I think it's catching up - had a massive headache all afternoon and counting the minutes for DH coming home to help with Alice. Then I had an early dinner and why oh why did I decide to have a choc ice for pud Confused - I knew I should have stuck to good stuff. My IBS is now playing up and I'm feeling very sorry for myself [self pity]

ponyo did you get to see Dr?

All good here, Sofia has started drama classes after school - as if she needs any help Grin and Olivia is rolling her eyes at the eejits on X Factor - she's not a fan of real people on tv - a bit like her Ma Grin

I bought my first proper Christmas present today Blush as opposed to the bits of pieces of stuff I've bought and hidden in a drawer Grin

Had a bit of a clear out today (living room only). Have upstairs to sort out next but weather is supposed to be pants tomorrow so perfect job for stating indoors me thinks!
