I mean PMT Blush

reastie · 13/07/2012 21:27

deb your poor sister. Can it be broken collarbone from the forceps? If so, Shock poor Chloe. Keep us updated and hope you can go and see them both for big hugs soon.

needto Shock to the numbers. And I got excited that Alice can point to a duck in her 'where's the duck?' book Blush . FWIW Alice is going off ITNG a bit too - she's quite fickle with programs now but seems to quite like Mister Maker, especially the 'I am a shape' song Grin . She quite likes 'I can cook' but that's probably me forcing it on her Grin

Yes, I did indeed go into work last night in the end

ponyo Grin to the differences between Cass and Anya. I'm not watching Come dine anymore - got a bit bored of it as I started watching it years ago at uni when it was a little known day time tv show. I am, however, a little obsessed with 'four in a bed' Blush

american it's funny as thinking about it that dress comes up quite big in the chest on me (which is very unusual I can assure you) and I just felt proud that I must've lost some weight or something Blush

wiggles Grin to Anna chasing those Spanish men already

reastie · 13/07/2012 21:30

xposted needto hope AF arrives quickly as I hate PMT mucho, and Angry to your OH. Btw - did you find a fitting punishment for him in the end?

NeedToSleepZZZ · 13/07/2012 21:34

Ooh, reastie, I love 4 in a bed! Did you see this evening's one? I was Shock and Angry at that horrid couple that were first. I still love come dine and have been watching it for years as well [saddo] We haven't seen mr maker yet, is it any good? Are you feeling okay now? I hope you can enjoy the non holiday now. I had to laugh at DH's comment about how much longer it takes to do things, OH is the same. He seems to think its easy staying at home but then when he has B for a bit he can't wait to go back to work Grin

NeedToSleepZZZ · 13/07/2012 21:36

X posted too...
I am aiming for a new MacBook but as we're broke it's highly unlikely. Will have to go for epilating his back hair or something instead but I'm biding my time so he's not expecting it Wink

Emski76 · 14/07/2012 06:50

Morning all
Wow, lots to catch up on!

Deb, your poor poor sister, really hope all is ok. Please come on here whenever you need to talk about it and keep us updated.

American, wow your cats are costing you aren't they? Sounds like they'll have their own private area with waitresses on standby and be given gift bags at the end!

Need to, wow to Bens intelligence! What a clever dude! Glad mil is out of hospital btw. Boo to PMT. I don't seem to get it anymore, could be the ad's, Im just moody all the time!

Wiggles, we popped into the Disney store last week and I saw the muppets were on sale, luckily Ben doesn't know who they are. I only got fleeced for a tenner so not too bad! Glad mr w was ok.

Ponyo, sounds like you and MizK had a good meet up! Photos please?

Reastie,I love the shape song on Mister Maker! It lovely watching Noah's taste in tv and books change from the simple ones to the more grown up ones. Last night I read part of a 'proper' book to him and he actually sat with me and listened! Then got down and chose one of his word books instead!

Ooh, must check out this 4 in a bed. I am a fan of Come Dine with me, I enjoy the arguments, and some of the cooking!

We're off to Legoland today, well dh,me and Ben are. Mil is looking after Noah. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain all day!

Four4me · 14/07/2012 09:00

Morning have read up to deb and wanted to answer so apologies haven't read more. Off to Joseph's swimming lesson soon.

Massive hugs to you and sis. If she doesn't want visitors can you pop up to the hospital with a parcel of essentials. And leave them at hospital reception to be delivered. Then she doesn't feel cross that you have gone agains't her wishes (speaking from experience)! I'm sure she'd appreciate some nice nibbles, drinks, some sweeties, maybe some fresh pants and a couple of packets of mat pads, some nappies etc. Nice deodorant spray or something. Just a thought.

Will catch up properly later. Wave to all the fab feb ladies and kiddie winkles!!!

debka · 14/07/2012 09:57

44me you're a genius- I don't want to go against what she wants but I want to do something. I may drag the girls up with me later this afternoon, see if we can find a playground or something Hmm

Latest news- Chloe's bloods have suggested an infection so she's on IV antibiotics. This has nothing to do with the floppy neck though, just something else on top :( She'll be in until at least Monday, waiting for blood cultures to come back, and if there is an infection, probably longer. My sis is doing ok, but she's like wiggs, needs to be on her own to cope with it. Plus no-one's allowed to see Chloe :(

It sounds awful but in the back of my mind I'm scared that she will die and I'll never have seen my sister's girl :( I'm sure it won't come to that but it's all happened so fast and unexpectedly, on Thursday she was fine, so we thought :(

blizy · 14/07/2012 11:32

Oh Debka, I can see where you are coming from, I'm sure Chloe will be fine. The girls in your family are tough fighters, look at your mum and your fiesty girls. I wish I could give you a huge hug.

44me's idea is fab.

ledkr · 14/07/2012 18:26

Gosh Deb your poor sis. I remember that absolute terror when you know something is up but they dont know what, before the cleft was diagnosed they were looking at some syndromes one including heart defects.I also wanted to be alone to deal with it all. Can you send her a text though it will mean alot to know you are worrying with her.

Been to soft play today Hmm wasnt too bad except Dilly prefers the vertical death slide as opposed to the baby area Shock She was running away and literally pushing past people to escape me. Omg arent kids fit too? I did 4 rounds of the assault course play area and was panting.

Ellas school report was so good i nearly cried and she was made a prefect. It such a nice change after 3 naughty boys haha.

wiggs I heard about the police thing too, scary for you all.

needto remind me why our babies are genius?? I came on yesterday and feel like a different person, its ridiculous what pmt does to us.

reastie I too am obsessed with 4 in a bed soooo bitchy.

The good news is that the passport has arrived so we can get off on Wednesday woop! First leg of the drive then pull over for tea in the van and a strech of the legs then a bit more driving around bedtime so hopefully dills will sleep or might even sleep for the night ourselves.I have my tea bags packed for my numerous cuppas.

Hope you are well.

reastie · 14/07/2012 18:36

deb how was your first day at work proper? Any news on your sister and Chloe? four4s idea sounds fab to me.

Glad I'm not the only one with a 4 in the bed obsession Grin . DH looks at me like this Hmm when he sees I have that alongside the hotel inspector and may the best house win on series link Blush

ledkr well done ella on the good report and being prefect

ems how was legoland? Alice likes those word books where there's one picture of one thing on each page. All very exciting but reading the same ones over and over gets a little mind numbing sometimes.

debka · 14/07/2012 21:26

Hey everyone,

ledkr well done Ella, bet you can't wait till your hols :)

Have no idea what 4 in a bed is, will have to have a look next time I'm allowed the remote Hmm

reastie thanks for remembering my first day :) it was good thanks, easier than I thought, but my God, some of these poor people are so frail and lonely :(

blizy thanks for the hug, I needed it :)

Made up a Care Package for my sis- magazine, puzzle book, M&S foody goodies, cherries, pick n mix, knickers Hmm and sent it with my mum. She was thrilled. Thanks 44me for the idea!

My sister actually called this morning too, wow it was such a relief to hear her voice. She sounded pretty traumatised over the birth, the forceps bit was brutal apparently. If I'm lucky I may be able to visit her tomorrow, but probably not Chloe. She (C) had a lumbar puncture today, poor little scrap :(

blizy · 15/07/2012 01:21

Debka- glad your first day went well! Poor Chloe with the lumbar puncture, it's hard to imagine how the wee mite is feeling. I am hoping she is on and all of these tests are just a formality. Keep us updated on her progress.

Just back from a night out in town, was a good night but I'm a light weight these days so we left about 12.30am. Blush

OP posts:
Four4me · 15/07/2012 08:52

So glad she liked it deb see I do have some uses Wink . I hope with every fibre of my body that everything is ok with little Chloe. Big hugs.

em hope legoland was fun, we loved it loved it last summer when we went. Hope it stayed dry. I bet it was lovely to concentrate on just Ben.

Xx

ILovePonyo · 15/07/2012 08:53

Morning,

Deb hope you get to see your sis soon. Poor her, and little C, must be horrendous. So even your sister can't see C? The gift you sent her sounds really nice Smile

Blizy 12.30 is a late one for me nowadays! Hope you had a good night.

Hi to everyone else, am on my phone with A clinging to me so can't remember much Blush
A decided to wake at 3am and just be awake, eventually gave her a bottle at 4 and she went bak to sleep but I was awake, grr. At least she had the decency to sleep in til 7.45...

We watched the first Harry potter last night, I've not read the books or seen the films, it's good isn't it?! I'm quite looking forward to te next one tonight

A is saying papple so I'd better go, oh she never said choc chic again but has learned "bic bic" for biscuit, how annoying Wink

Emski76 · 15/07/2012 17:50

Hi all
To all then on Facebookers, we have adopted a one year old cat called Tinkerbell. She's gorgeous and very calm and chilled. Noah loves her as he's had an obsession with cats for ages. Ben is yet to meet her but know he will adore her too.

Deb, oh your poor sister. What a lovely gift you sent her, I bet she really appreciated it. Keep us updated as I know we're all thinking of you.

Four4, Legoland was fantastic. Ben is fantastic boy, really fun yo spend time with. It was lovely to have the day with him. He went to in laws last night do dh and I have had the day with Noah today which has also been fantastic.

Led, have a fab break, without the in laws, and well done to Ella on her school report!

Ponyo, I can't believe you've never seen Harry Potter before. Dh and I are fans and are going to the tour in October.

Dh has put Fifty Shades on my kindle, am looking forward to starting it later!

blizy · 15/07/2012 18:20

Emski- enjoy Mr Grey! I quite liked the books, although I skipped over the sexy bits cos they got a bit boring!

Ponyo- I am Shock that you have never seen Harry Potter before! Dh and I are addicted to the HP Lego game on the xboxBlush.

Got to go Dh has just cooked dinner- a yummy roast!Grin I will catch up proper later.

OP posts:
reastie · 15/07/2012 18:28

ems tinkerbell looks very sweet (and that said from someone who isn't a cat person Wink ). I won't save my 50 shades copy for you then - I'm half way through now and still feeling a bit Hmm about it.

wiggles watched super8 this week end - was pretty good Grin

ponyo how have you missed all forms of harry potter for this long Shock

deb any update on your sister and Chloe? Will you be visiting tomorrow? Glad work went OK.

blizy honestly - anything after 9:30pm for me now seems hardcore Blush so you are positively a party animal in comparison Wink

mizk saw a piccie of you on fb and just wanted to say thought you looked fab Envy - you don't need to lose weight at all so don't put yourself down.

We went to John Lewis' today to get some curtains for the playroom in the sale and then out to a park for a walk and picnic - we then came home and collapsed on the sofa in exhaustion - don't know why it exhausted us so much! DH said he couldn't believe how much more tiring it is to take Alice out to places compared to pre baby (we don't really ever get around to going out all together much at week ends). At last he's starting to realise things take twice and long and are twice as tiring - break through!!! Just madly trying to do a quick tidy up downstairs...

blizy · 15/07/2012 18:57

Reastie- we watched super 8 on fri, I didn't rate it tbh. We watched friends with benefits today, was funny and I even cried at the endHmm. I am getting very soppy in my old age!Blush

Debka- how are Chloe and your sis?

Dinner was yum, Alfie is enjoying the leftover beef.Grin. Just waiting for. While then having some brownies and ice cream(back to the diet on Monday). Have a good night all.

OP posts:
debka · 15/07/2012 21:23

Hello all,

emski glad you had a good time at Legoland, it's so precious when you get time with just one child on their own isn't it.

blizy brownies Grin

reastie you should try having two of them Grin or five chips in ledkr!

Hoping my sis may ring soon, she says Chloe's been discharged from SCBU but has to stay in hospital until probably Thursday- I imagine that's when all the test results will be back. My mum got to hold her yesterday Envy Dsis has said I can visit tomorrow but DH is away and I'm really busy so I don't know if I'll be able to, unless I can get a babysitter and go up after the girls are in bed. FX.

blizy · 16/07/2012 07:30

Deb- that's fantastic news! I have been thinking non stop about Chloe, hope you manage to get in to see her and your sis later. X

Had a crappy night last night, worse than usual.
I saw a perfectly round circle of light on my wall, there was no way it was from anything outside. It couldn't possibly have been anything shining from outside as I have black out blinds and curtains (there is no way light gets through those bad boys). I am not sure if I believe in orbs and spirits but I am almost certain it was just that. May have been Zoe bear or my Mum? I felt so content and relaxed when I saw it iyswim. God, I just read that back and I know how ridiculous it sounds.

OP posts:
ledkr · 16/07/2012 07:46

Wow blizy thats amazing,im very open minded about the supernatural but have had several experiences including knowing when my dc are upset from miles away so im sure that maybe something to do with Zoe.They are after all made from us so not surprising they are still with us.
Did you try the nytol? I think you should see Dr re not sleeping as look how I get when D is playing me up,we need our sleep.

D has been much better at night. She has cut down to one sleep in the day and now sleeps well untill at least 6.30 we ignored er if she wakes too early and its worked.

Annoying colleague update. Yesterday we had to work all day. Its only one day a year and we put on a fun day for the children and their families.Nobody wants to give up their Sundays but we have to. Most of us have dc and partners and I even had to get sitter as dh was working. Also going away Wed so could have done with the time to pack.
So guess who rang in sick??? This was after weeks of trying to get out of it. We were all fuming. She didnt do it when a few weeks pregnant either and I did it at 3 months and ended up bleeding grrrrrrrrrrrr. I dont think she has gained any friends through this.

blizy · 16/07/2012 09:30

Ledkr- I love what you said about our children being made from us, very comforting.Smile.
I hope annoying colleague gets her come-uppance (sp?). Well done to Dilly sleeping in!
No, I've not tried the kalms yet, I will get some next time I'm out shopping.

OP posts:
Emski76 · 16/07/2012 12:51

Hi all
Blizy, how wonderful if that was Zoe coming to visit you, she knows her mummy needs her sometimes.

Led, that colleague of yours is so annoying, bet the other staff members weren't too pleased.

Tinkerbell update, got to work this morning and found that she'd pee'd on my Cath Kidston bag, was so conscious oz smell that I've popped home in my lunch break to put it in the washing machine!

Will pop back on tonight x

americanexpat · 16/07/2012 14:32

Ems - I hate surprise cat pee discovery! Watch the bag, it can still smell like pee to them even after a wash so it's likely she might pee on it again.

blizy - Of course it doesn't sound ridiculous. It's lovely to think that Zoe or your mum was visiting.

ledkr - Your colleague sounds like a piece of work.

deb - still thinking of your sister and Chloe.

L was wonderful this weekend, generally a joy to be around. I cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday and he played quietly by himself for ages without demolishing anything. Shock I taught him to say turtle too, it's very cute.
