k2togm1 · 03/07/2012 21:22

Thanks for beign welcoming ladies, and sympathy re wakings! hope it is like wriggles says and it will stop at 16 months (very soon).
needto didn't know about B's issues, hope it gets better soon and without too much trouble!
Wow at what all the babies are up to! P has a few signs but appart from mwiawing very accuratedly and beign obssessed with motorbikes I can't say he is a genius!

wigglesrock · 03/07/2012 21:30

emski I can't eat ice-cream if it has melted at all Shock

NeedToSleep good news about B and Grin that he loved the hospital bed

americanexpat Grin there's 11 months and 3 weeks between Anna and Emma - you know my sister she can't see shite but she'd want some Grin I'm going to have Emma for a few days a week until my sister has a think about work etc. She's the general manager of a big bar, not really conducive to early mornings and baby bedtimes, but the money is good (hence her early return Grin) and more importantly she absolutely loves it! Her husband also works shifts, so we're all pitching in until she can see a bit clearer.

Four4Me have a fab time with tad, not too good without me but good enough

tad hope you are recovering from your nightmare journey and have a fantastic time with four4me - she's really lovely and easy to talk to.

blizy feel better xx

americanexpat · 04/07/2012 08:47

Emski - you should keep your ice cream in the fridge, then you won't have to wait for it to melt. Grin Congrats and good luck with Rainbows!

reastie - I have always been obsessed with having my hands clean. Not like compulsive handwashing, I just can't stand having anything on my hands so wash them 20 times when feeding L. Anyway, my mum said I was like that as a baby too, they'd put me in the grass and I'd keep my hands in the air. Grin

Borg - I can't believe his sleeping, I really can't. Last year I was so Envy at those who had sleeping babies and now he seems to be one of the few babies on the thread not having sleep problems. He v suddenly started sleeping through when he went to nursery in January and that was that. Shock

NeedTo - That's excellent news on the referral! At least they're taking it seriously now. Poor boy with the enema but at least it's cleared him out.

Hello to everyone. Must get some actual work done now. Sad

NeedToSleepZZZ · 04/07/2012 10:22

blizy how are your sinuses today, sounds very painful, make sure you look after yourself. Hope the baby is good for you today x

Hands sainthood to wiggles, no rest for you then! Grin must be difficult for your dsis if she loves her job but she's really lucky to have you. Can you be paid in very frozen ice cream?Wink

reastie Grin at our baby stars! A's class sounds great btw, do you know when the film will be shown as would love to see it! We were just asked to send our clips of b signing to the boss woman, not sure what's happening next, if anything.

american another one with hand washing obsession here, I remember as a small child at play group I wouldn't put my feet in paint to make footprints as didn't want to get them dirty. Ben has no such qualms luckily.

four4 good luck to Archie today, hope things go well.

Sending a big hello to ledkr, hope you're doing okay, miss you and sending you positive thoughts x

OH's DM was taken into hospital last night and they're running tests as she's been ill for a few weeks now and suffers from chrone's disease. They think she has an infection somewhere but not sure where, I know it's not very mn but I really like my mil and poor OH is feeling it today. Seems to be a lot of hospital stuff for us this year, hope this is the end of it.

Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday, nearly the weekend!

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2012 16:26

Hi folks,

I am so bloody tired, I went to bed at 10 last night and A woke up at 7 so don't know why Confused My eye keeps twitching too! Just watching the murray match as dp is getting A from nursery, am having a nice cuppa and a rest.

Needto hows B today? Pleased to hear things are progressing but I bet you're sick of hospitals now, hope your mil is as well as can be. Sounds stressful though.

borg ooh I love hay on wye! dp and I have been a few times for holidays, we were thinking about going this summer with A but its not v child friendly really is it?! Come to the east midlands, I want to meet super clean freak N Grin I can't believe the shocking sleep still, poor you.

reastie I rang cruse today :) Had to leave a message though just waiting for a call back. Grin at A and the clown, very funny.

emski Hmm at your ice cream melting Wink and wow to N and his words, love that he said 'two', clever boy!

blizy hope you're feeling better and baby mindee is good for you today Grin

ledkr hope youre ok too lovely xx

Am v distracted by the tennis so going to go, is it bad I want Murray to lose? He's such a misery

reastie · 04/07/2012 18:17

Hi all,

Well, just deciding what I Alice should wear for this promo filming of her gym class tomorrow...Maybe something nice a bright so she's good for the camera Grin . needto apparently the film will be on you tube so will link it when I get it but Alice may not be in it anyway as they are filming a few classes and Alice usually just hangs around the desk for a glimpse of the dreaded clown anyway

blizy how are you feeling now?

ponyo hope you're not coming down with anything. Is it hormone related as that makes me shattered? Great that you rung cruse btw - keeo us updated

ledders where are you? I'm starting to get worried now Hmm

Feeling all domestic goddessy today as made a cassoulet in the slow cooker for dinner and picked fresh herbs from the garden to put in it and everything [proud]

deb hows the group therapy thing going? When do you start your job again?

needto sorry about MIL. Do they know what's wrong with her now? What a worry - you seem to be spending a bit too much time in hospitals this week Hmm

american it's so funny you say that re: clean hands as when my sister was tiddly I remember she was obsessed with not having her legs on show - she would have to wear leggings and tuck her socks right up into them and if a glimmer of skin got through she'd scream until DM covered them over [weirdo] . Maybe Alice will have an odd issue like that only about her feet getting mucky Hmm - she did her usual shocked and disgusted noise today when a bit of something or other was on her foot.

knitta love how P is obsessed with motorbikes - how very masculine Wink

ems go you re: rainbows. Hope annoying work colleagues are being quiet today btw

hubbard if you're reading hope everything is going OK for you

ledkr · 04/07/2012 18:22

Hi all, wiggs said you are wondering where i am so i popped in.

Firstly the net has been playing up,my laptop has broken (i mn in bed normally) and i have been busy with clingy knickers and lairy madame.

I really aint too great if im honest feel totally overwhelmed and knackered. Everything feels like a big deal.
D is still waking at stupid o clock and i cant stand dh anywhere near me,i just want to be alone.
He has helped loads by inviting pil for the fecking weekend,as usual they are picking their own days and want to come Fri instead of Sat and dh is on a late so i told him im not entertaining them he needs to get home and also they will probably hang around until midnight Sunday so i am off out. I am doing no shopping.cooking or extra cleaning either. So there.

I hope you are all well. I wil have a read up now.

Love to you all.

blizy · 04/07/2012 20:55

ledkr Have you told dh how you are feeling? I wish I was close to you, I could help out with Dilly and let you sleep/rest or just to have a mad night out.

emski I am beginning to have doubts about you Wink Grin. Hope the Rainbows thing works out. Ben's show sounds very good, you must have been a very proud Mummy!

needto Sorry to hear about your mil, hope she is better soon.

I am still feeling yuck today, and mindee was very screechy (typical) the weather is still pants so we couldn't go out. I'll be fecked if i am going to softplay when it's pissing down and the schools are on holiday! Looks like tomorrow will be another day in the house- Booooo!

My ds had her 20 weeks scan today, she is having a boy. I am very relieved, as I think I would have struggled if it was a girl.

debka Any news on your sister yet?

Alfie has a wee wooly blanket he sleeps on in his bed, he has been dragging said blanket about all day. He is now asleep in the pop up tent/ballpool with his blanky- such a stange animal! Grin

OP posts:
reastie · 04/07/2012 21:02

blizy aww to alfie and his blanky. Hope you feel better soon, it's rubbish when you feel bad and kids play you up because they sense you're not 100%, it's like that at school too for me - these people who can relax a bit at work when they're ill make me Envy as I always find work alot harder and have to be more on the ball when I'm unwell as the kids sense it and try to play up. Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a rant there Blush . Hope you feel better soon.

ledkr you really don't sound like yourself. Get down to the GP and see if you can get some time off to sort yourself out. Do you have a decent hv who you could visit you to help sort you out and give sleep advice? Actually, I think I remember you saying you never really saw your hv so maybe not Hmm . I just remember how lovely mine was when I felt really low. Please post on here and rant as much as you like. x

ledkr · 04/07/2012 21:23

Thanks girls. Work is my solace though,I love going Hmm I can be me and nobody throws food about or clings onto me crying.

I am going to see the gp asap I am wondering if its my thyroid because the tiredness is just palpable,i sometimes just cant be bothered to move.

At least I will have a few laughs with you all at the weekend when i see just how much the pils enjoy value pizza and oven chips for tea instead of the ususal hearty fare Grin
If anyone can think of any other meals even more austere then do let me know.
Mash and beans anyone?

blizy · 04/07/2012 21:37

ledkr I would chuck them in the camper and tell them they are on a self catering holiday! Throw some corned beef onto the plate with the mash and beans or spam or pork faggots. Grin What about that roast chicken in a can?

OP posts:
ILovePonyo · 04/07/2012 21:38

Ledkr good for you going to gp, hope they help you out. Grin at cheapo meals, Erm... Pasta and value tomato sauce?! Ha! Nice to hear from you tho and just hope stupid pil don't piss you off this weekend.

Blizy Alfie sounds like anya! She walks about carrying various blankies, then lies on them on the floor like she's going to sleep Grin pleased about your sis btw, and that it's a boy.

Reastie Grin at A and the video, loved it. Well done on the domestic goddessing, yum!

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2012 21:39

Oh and reastie I blame the crappy weird weather for me being tired, might be Erin tho Wink

ILovePonyo · 04/07/2012 21:40

Erin?! I meant wrong! Hmm

americanexpat · 05/07/2012 09:12

ledkr - I have a very austere lentils and rice recipe if you'd like it. Grin Have fun with the PILs.

blizy - aww to Alfie and his blankie. :) Congrats to your sister too.

reastie - I meant to ask you about the Boden Retro Rose dress you posted about for your gm's funeral. Is it v lightweight like a summer dress or a bit heavier? I'm hoping it's in the sale, I want it but refuse to pay full price for it!

Work is getting stressful. I have a massive looming deadline, my eye twitch is back and it all kicked off yesterday with one of my colleagues being rude to me. Angry He's not wanting to do his job, I've put up with his moaning about everything but he pushed me over the edge when he was unbelievable rude about something and I don't tolerate people being rude. I was absolutely raging, got our line manager involved and it turned into a shouting match between them while I sat there watching. Shock He won't quit because then he can't sign on so he's making our lives miserable until they sack him.

reastie · 05/07/2012 09:25

american it's lovely and lightweight, and it packs up really small for when you move so obviously you can't live without it Wink . Shock to work shout off yesterday, must be really nasty to work with stress like that.

ledkr can you not take Ella away for the week end and have a semi relaxing time (as in no 4:30 am wake up calls) and no PILs? Or would PIL/DH look after Ella if you got some time to yourself? (although PIL haven't exactly been great with Ella have they Hmm ) It would do you good to get lots of sleep and maybe even a good night out I think.

blizy good news re: your DSs scan. Can't believe she's 20 weeks already Shock

Best go, we've got an appointment with the scary clown and lots of cameras Grin

Four4me · 05/07/2012 13:55

Hi all! Well have had a lovely morning with tad mrtad and the tadpoles !!!! A, E and S are gorgeous with beautiful blonde hair. Had a great chat and children loved playing together. Imogen had an embarrassing melt down just as they were all leaving all about ..... A bloody baby wipe!!!! Arrrg! Don't you just love them. She has been fast asleep for a couple of hours now so hopefully she'll wake up in a much better mood. Sam looks about 6 months older than Archie, so cute seeing them squabbling about playing with the trikes together!!

Still love you wiggles Grin

Will get the photos we took of the children on when my dh brings the laptop home as I can't figure out how to get them on my profile from my iPhone (any tips greatly received).

Hope you are all having a good day. X

Four4me · 05/07/2012 13:59

Forgot to say that Archie's physio appt went well, she said yes is ankles and feet are wonky turned out (everted), but also all of his joints are slightly hyper mobile. They are going to review in autumn and maybe get his some insoles. Xx

Can't wait to see our fab feb superstar babies in their promotional photos/videos. Xx

reastie · 05/07/2012 15:06

four4 and tad glad you had a good time. four4 can I pick your brains re: the physio. Alices feet turn in quite obviously and she walks with pronounced pigeon toes and will sometimes trip over her feet. DH has undiagnosed pigeon toes too so it could be a hereditary thing. I rung hv but she told me they wouldn't do anything until after she's 2 so to just ignore it . I know all babies/toddlers can walk a bit like that and it may sort itself out but just wondered, if you don't mind, what Archies ankle problem is and whether you went gp/hv route as if they are talking about Archie having insoles in autumn that is sort of different to what my hv said Hmm

Went to filming this morning. Don't think Alice will be in the film at all as she was in a weird mood and just looked a bit worried the whole time Hmm . When she did get very excited she had her back to the camera Angry . She was, however, first in line for a kiss from the dreaded clown as usual Grin

Four4me · 05/07/2012 18:03

reastie as a bolshy physio myself I would be very pissed off if a hv decided when I would or wouldn't treat a patient. When Archie is stood up fully weight bearing and if I look at his ankles from behind him, his weight passes down the inside of his legs rather than straight down the centre of his Achilles tendon, meaning that his arches are totally non-existent and he has tonnes of skin creases on the outer aspect of his ankle. He isn't actually pigeon toed, but does slap his feet down (which I think is quite normal for this stage of their development).
I mentioned it to the hv who handed me a list of drop-in physio clinics and when I went it was someone I used to work with, so I probably could have just rung her direct, but didn't want to be seen to fiddle the system iykwim! If I was you I'd mention it to a sensible gp and ask if there are any drop-in sessions in your area, just to set you mind at rest. Thomas used to need little orthotics boots and then insoles as his ankle straightened and strengthened, but doesn't now. Without seeing A I would hope that it is nothing to worry about and will resolve without input and it is just one of your families quirky anatomy being handed down!!!!! Paediatric physios see loads of small children with 'interesting' feet!! Don't be fobbed off if you are concerned. X

reastie · 05/07/2012 18:26

Thanks four4 . I'm not unduly concerned but my DM seems concerned about it (she was a nurse so kind of knows some medical stuff but not specialist IYKWIM) and keeps nagging me to do something and seems convinced that the way she walks is problematic. She's not the sort to make a fuss of nothing which is making me Confused but other than that I'm quite laid back about it. So long as doing nothing a la hv suggests won't actually do Alice any harm or create more problems for later on (is this right????) I don't mind waiting till she's 2. I've been to our local physio dept quite alot in the past few years and they don't seem to have drop in sessions. Don't even know if hvs can refer as when I was pg my mw couldn't refer and I had to do it all via GP.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 05/07/2012 20:22

Evening everyone,

ledkr good to hear from you, sorry things are so rubbish at the moment, you sound as if you definitely need a break. Good that work offers some respite for you though. I'm going to suggest cheap fish fingers, smiley face potato thingies and whatever is on offer at the supermarket, treat them like children as they behave like them Hmm

four4 glad the appt went well for A, hope things can get sorted with the insoles.

blizy it must be such a bittersweet time for you, glad your ds's scan was fine and even more glad she's having a boy. Alfie sounds even more adorable than ever, loved the inbred pic btw! Grin

reastie isn't it always the way that babies will choose the most inappropriate time to get moody! You never know though, might be a clip of her cuddling the scary clown

american sorry about the rubbish time at work, fingers crossed the colleague gets fired sharpish! I hated office politics at work, you just can't escape it can you?

ems I missed your rainbows post before, well done you! Hope today was better at work too.

Poor OH's mum is really ill. She's having an abscess on her bowel drained and then having an op to have more of her bowel removed. She was coughing up blood today when OH visited her and being sick, apparently this has been going on for a couple of months but she hadn't seen a doc for it. Really trying to make things better for OH but there isn't really much I can do other than listen to him is there?

In other news, b had a complete over the top tantrum in the middle of our shopping centre today because I took him off one of those stupid children's rides. Ended up sitting on the floor holding him so he couldn't hit/kick etc, was a nightmare! Had lots of stares from passers by and could tell which people were parents by the way they looked at us.

Double movicol and sennacot given and still no poo.... How does he do it??? Confused

Emski76 · 06/07/2012 06:53

Oh no Need to, the dreaded public tantrum. I remember Ben having one in Boots because I put something on the counter at the check out and he had wanted to do it. There was a huge queue behind us and everyone was staring. I like to think that other parents are looking and feeling sympathy. Sounds like you handled it quite well though. I'm so sorry about OH mum, soundalike she's very poorly.

American, that colleague of yours sounds like such an idiot! I too hate office politics! Work s depressing at the moment, some of the women are just do miserable and one, who I thought was a good friend of mine, isn't talking to me!! Not sure what I've done tho! It's like being back at school again sometimes isn't it?

Four4 sounds like the meet up with Tad went well. Glad Archie's app went well. Reastie, hope your not too worried about A feet.

Best go, Bens up and complaining that dh has eaten some of the custard creams!!

americanexpat · 06/07/2012 09:13

NeedTo - so sorry about MIL. Sad And Shock at B's tantrum - I know my day is coming soon. Also, maybe the enema, er, cleaned him out and he doesn't need to poo?

reastie - Right, you've convinced me on the dress. Wink If it's in the sale, I'm getting it. I've never actually bought Boden FROM Boden before. Shock [wait for Alice to imitate face] Grin

44me - glad A's appt went well and massively Envy at meeting tad and the tadpoles.

Work is usually very good, have never had any drama in the 4 years I've been here. This colleague happens to be a moaner about everything which I've mostly ignored but he crossed the line and it kicked off. No one likes him, he doesn't do his job, I don't know why he hasn't been sacked yet. Anyway, 98% of my work colleagues are lovely and professional so it was a one-off.

Ems - I can't believe your work colleagues, they need to feck off and grow up. I've got no tolerance for that type of behaviour.

blizy · 06/07/2012 09:24

Morning all,

[green] at 44me and tad meeting!

Thats one of the reasons I love my job, there is no answering to anyone (except mad parents and maniac kids)! Grin

needto I hope your mil is better soon, sending some get well soon vibes to her. Wow, Ben has a bowel of steel!

I am feeling loads better, except for the ivers of bright green snot!Grin I need to wait in today on a delivery HATE waiting!

I found out yesterday that my wee cousin is pg and her due date is Z's birthday. It kinda, hit me hard- don't know why?

OP posts:
