Believe me borg I need to go to the gym way more than anyone else here Wink . I think the apple crumble I made for dinner hasn't really helped things on that front Blush .

american it's interesting re: wardrobe clear out as I was thinking the same thing last week. I have 3/4 of my wardrobe 2 sizes too small for me, but I'm convinced I will get back into them (hopefully I'm not being misguided here!) but I feel it's ridiculous to still have them out and taking up so much space when I haven't worn them for nearly 2 years now, so might stick them all in the loft ready for a smug reunion when finally I can fit in them again Grin

ledkr I've been up at 5 the past few days - it's awful. You have my sympathies. By 8pm last night I was keeping my eyes open with matchsticks. Btw DH and I have been having issues recently too, I don't think he gets it either Hmm . Maybe it's a man thing Hmm

borg alice was a bit overzealous when stroking the guinea pig - we had to stop her when she started poking it's eye and giggling Shock

Painted a chest of drawers in Alices bedroom this week end - it was scrapheap chic before and we saved it from DM&D throwing it away.....it's now marginally better even if it is very stiff to open and close now . I'm desperate for the day I have a room with everything actually matching or looking like they should all be together [sigh]

wigglesrock · 01/07/2012 19:21

Evening all,

Grin, well finished work, on what proved to be the busiest bloody night of the year so far Shock, so am absolutely wrecked, if anything it has driven home how much I needed to leave. Not sure I could have faced going back in tomorrow after last night!!

WeAreBorg I'm not gym going Grin my job was very physical, so am slightly panicking that with stopping it I won't continue losing a bit of weight. But am not so concerned that I'd actually do anything about it Grin

Mr W took the girls to the petshop last week and A wasn't best pleased she couldn't take home a rabbit Shock - she even has a little rabbit face, she sticks out her front teeth and does a Bugs Bunny impression - this is what Mr W does with them when he has them Grin

reastie I have clothes from about 2.5 years ago and even last years that I wasn't happy with that are now dead on, its like a whole new wardrobe but I'm afraid I'm in search of the impossible - my trusty jeans (both pairs) are on their last legs and I can't find any that I like as much!!!

Anna has stayed asleep until about 6.30-am - 7.30am this week Shock, we don't know ourselves Grin

Girls and Mr W are v excited about the football!! Sofia is a huge Spain fan - she has a flag and a little top. In fact she's mad about football in general, she had a football coach for some of her PE lessons this year and she loved it. We're trying to get her into a soccer school for a bit this summer - it also appeals her slight nerdiness - she loves stats - a pup out of her dad Grin

blizy · 01/07/2012 22:53

Wiggles- YAY to no more work, will you be a lady who lunches? Grin at busy Anna.

Oh man, I have forgot everything I have read sorry.Blush

Hope you all have good sleep tonight Wink.

Yuck, yuck, yuck. So tired today, I was still awake at 3.55am, just dozed off and my fecking alarm went off at 6am. Thank god I only have kids from 7am until 9am today!

Since I started dieting eating healthy I am up two whole notches on my belt! Still a long way to go though (the. Hops I had last night defo won't help Blush)!

Hope you all have a good day .

OP posts:
americanexpat · 02/07/2012 09:24

blizy - that's rough, I hope you get a nap today. Sad

reastie - pack those clothes into the loft and buy yourself some that fit now. Grin I'm clearing out because I refuse to move clothes that don't fit or that I don't like. Also, we're still working on L "petting the kitties nicely" and not grabbing their heads. Needless to say, the cats keep a 5 ft exclusion zone around him. Grin

We took L to the wildlife centre yesterday. He seemed to enjoy the animals, so long as they were big and moving. Not much else to say really, it was mostly me saying, "Ooo, look at the " and him watching it walk by.

ILovePonyo · 02/07/2012 09:56

Howdy y'all Smile

I've been at my mums all weekend so not been able to get on, hope everyone is ok and blizy you're having a nice nap!

Back later to update on my exciting life Hmm Grin

k2togm1 · 02/07/2012 12:08

Hello, may I come in?

I have been lurking but never get time to post. I am right now siting at a cafe having tea and a pastry after due an assembly at a school and waiting for my next bit of work which is after lunch, so for the first time in 15.75 months I child-free and with spare time, feels weird.

wiggles yay for no more work!

P has not woken up too early in a while but his brand new trick is waking up in the middle of the night and staying awake for 2-3 hours!!! He can't stand being in the bedroom so we go downstairs and bake cakes and watch the sunrise Angry

Apart from that he is a delight when asleep or away from me walking and babbling, not eating very well though.

Me and dh were starting to get better until we dtd unprotected (very very stupid I know, but we were concentrating on me not having a panick attack) and then things went downhill as I became convinced I was pregers, which I am very relieved to tell you I am not! I do not want another baby, at least not right now that things are just starting to look up. During this time I constantly mentally teletransported the wee bean to blizy, I cried a lot thinking about the unfairness of it all Sad

So although stressfull, after considering my options I am now grateful it is only p I have to look after, and grateful I don't have to go through with a horrible termination.

We are off on holiday to my parents next weekend without dh, he needs the break from me as much as I do from him.

Where are you off to ledkr?

Emski76 · 02/07/2012 12:37

Hi all
Not been on in a few days as busy weekend. Ben had his show at the theatre on Saturday night so he spent the day there rehearsing and playing games. I met my mum and sister in Bristol to 'celebrate' my grampys birthday and put flowers where his ashes were scattered. Was very emotional but lovely too. We took Ben out to the new Frankie and Benny's eaterie for lunch yesterday as his treat for performing so well on Sat night - it was yummy but I did manage to eat more than my fair share, so may have ruined all my efforts from the last few weeks!

Good to hear from you K2, glad P is ok, and very relieved for you ref pg, can imagine how upset you felt tho when thinking about Blizy. Tho we all know it will happen for you soon Blizy!

Wiggles, enjoy being a lday of leisure (haha - fat chance!).

Trying to think of other things to say but nothing is coming to mind, probably cos i know my jacket spud is in the microwave about to ping!! Will come back tonight for a catch up. Mwah to all

MizK · 02/07/2012 14:53

Hi ladies, hope we all had good weekends? Not much to report here, apart from Cass has discovered the art of screaming, as in high pitched, full-on shrieks, throughout the day. Happy, sad, indifferent, she'll scream. Its intensely annoying, needless to say! DP and I sneaked out to our local town for a few drinks on Saturday and had the best time, we haven't got p*ssed together in a while, was funny! makes a change from us going out separately and one of us coming back drunk and the other being disapproving!
emski I bet that you were super proud of Ben, little star!
K2 hi, nice to hear from you! Sorry you had a bit of a crisis, must have been a bit horrid.
wiggles yay to being free from demanding work! Hope its a positive change, it is weird when you go from working to being a full time SAHM tho isn't it? Also, my DD1 was in a football team for years, would highly recommend it when S is old enough, it gave her a lot of confidence and she's a really sporty girl as a result.
blizy well done on slimming down, hope you are napping as we speak!
reastie maybe vac pack the clothes and stash away, they will just reproach you silently every time you open your wardrobe otherwise! I got rid of a load of things that were too tight recently, but I still have a particular skinny skirt that I try on now and again and eventually it will hopefully look good, its my motivation!
ledkr hope things improve soon, between sleep deprivation and marital stress things must be tough for you at the min. Chin up lovely x
Big wave to everyone I've missed, must go and wake sleepy head in a min for the school run....

wigglesrock · 02/07/2012 20:00

Well this lady of leisure shite isn't all its cracked up to be Grin I'm bloody knackered!! My sister went back to work today after having Emma, so I had Ems from 7.30am this morning Shock [bleary eyed]!!

It was no bother actually, she's happy enough to sit and watch the girls messing about, although tbh at about 11am I did think Christ another 6 hours of this Grin So I did my usual trick of throwing all 4 of them into the car and heading to the park for the afternoon. I'm not sure I enjoyed all the pitying glances thrown my way for having 2 babies within a year Grin. All the girls look alike so I think the assumption was they were all mine!!

blizy how you doing now? Get any sleep this afternoon?

Emski Sofia thinks Frankie and Bennys is the coolest place eveeeer Grin, well done B, you must be very proud xx

MizK I think lazing about in the pub with Mr W talking shite is the thing I miss most about having no a curtailed social life. Netball is Ss other big thing at the minute. Her primary school has a team, but you need to be P4 to join, so she's vv excited about this September!!

k2togm1 Sofia did that from 12-16 months, she would wake up at around 3am, and stay up for about 3 hours or so. She was in great form but you couldn't get her back to sleep Shock I remember mentioning it to GP or nurse and being told lots of small children did it. She just stopped doing it one day! Mr W and I suddenly realised after about 3 mornings that we hadn't got up, she still woke early for the day at about 6am but the 3am starts went by the wayside.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 02/07/2012 20:29

Hi everyone,

Lovely to hear from you K2, sorry things aren't too great with DH. Hopefully the weekend away will help you both. Panic attacks are just wicked and I understand your fears (OH and I haven't dtd for quite some time now because I'm scared). Anyway, keep in touch, always here for you x

wiggles That's fab news about work, did your boss stop ignoring you to say goodbye at least? I hope you're enjoying being a sahm now, I find it hard but that's mainly the repetitiveness of it all. It's still much better than work for me though! Wink

reastie You'll be back in those clothes in no time if you carry on with all this gym malarkey! Grin Good idea to vacuum pack stuff though, I am tempted to do the same to create some space in the wardrobe.

blizy I hope you're planning an early night tonight, apparently sleep helps weightloss too, I read it somewhere so it must be true.

ledkr So sorry, you're having a tough old time aren't you? You'd think by now your DH would have cottoned on to how much there is to do with children around, it's rubbish he is so ignorant to it, even worse if he's turning a blind eye and just expecting you to do it all. It annoys me sometimes that OH goes out a minimum of 3 evenings a week doing sports and I get a couple of hours on a Weds or Thurs at my friend's house but then I make sure he makes up for it at weekends. When it gets to the point that it's making you so run down you're ill, you need to spell it out to him and book a holiday for yourself x

Well, B's off to the consultant tomorrow, fingers crossed they'll agree to an x-ray or scan to rule out any blockages etc. I'm so fed up with it now, was beginning to think they thought I was a hysterical mother but now OH has taken over all communication with them I think they're taking it more seriously (sexist pigs).
B is still continuing his sleep is for wimps campaign and I see a lot of other babies are in the same club. We've taken to taking it in turns to sleep in his room next to the cot with him which seems to pacify him but he's still only getting about 9 hours at night and next to nothing in the day
And cue a crying baby..... gah, I am definitely going to get him back for this when he's a teenager.

Hello to everyone else! Smile

ILovePonyo · 02/07/2012 22:12

Hi again,

Needto good luck tomorrow. Hmm at them taking it more seriously now your dp is talking to them, grr. Just hope you can get it all resolved very quickly, its been going on for so long now.

wigs your day sounds knackering Grin now you're not working does that mean you're going to be on babysitting duties?! You should charge :)

emski aww Ben! What a star. I'm a fan of F&B's too, although saying that the last time we went there I was pregnant Shock

k2 god you sound so calm about the middle of the night wakings, I'd be ranting and raving about it. Yikes to your stressful time, glad youre not pg, and I often have weelkends away from dp with my family (like this weekend), makes us be a bit nicer to each other when we see each other again Grin

MizK Your night out sounds great :) A has discovered high pitched shrieking which can be funny but also annoying depending on the time of day.

Borg Grin at N walloping small creatures. I'm not exercising

ledkr where you off on your hols? Hope you're ok you do sound a bit down atm.

blizy well done on the healthy eating lady! Hope you sleep well tonight.

Well this has taken me ages to post so I bet I do a big x post.

My weekend was nice, on Sat night my mum bathed A and put her to bed so me and my sis got to go to the pub for some pints and have a big chat about our dad, was nice in a way but only that she gets how I am feeling, ie shes feeling the same. My mum seems to get quite drunk and get angry about ow, I don't mind talking about my dad but can't be arsed talking about ow anymore. Gah.

In other news, A is doing well, saying quite a few words now including 'yeah' in a high pitched squeak, funny :) She also says 'peeeeease' for 'please' usually when she sees crisps/chocolate/her dummy Hmm

wigglesrock · 03/07/2012 08:31

ponyo yes Anna too is extremely well mannered when she spies sugar Grin, have E again this morning - might have to up my rates Wink

NeedToSleep hope appt goes well, fingers crossed you get some answers or at least the tests you want. Yes, my boss stopped huffing enough to mutter a quick heartfelt Hmm goodbye and throw some vouchers my way.

ledkr how you doing babelicious?, have you thought any more about getting signed off work for a bit? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

americanexpat · 03/07/2012 09:37

k2 - Good news that things turned out how you wanted them to re not being preg.

wiggles - I don't remember how old Emma is but two so close together isn't uncommon where you are, is it? Grin [stereotypes] Are you having Emma permanently while your sis is working?

NeedTo - Deffo press for a scan or x-ray. Poor B, I can't believe they've let it go on this long. Sad

I put L in his bed for a short nap yesterday at 5:30, DH didn't bother to get him up while I was at the gym and he slept through until 6:30 this morning. Shock He doesn't seem to be ill, fingers crossed it's still a growth spurt. He's already more than half my height. Hmm

reastie · 03/07/2012 09:40

Morning all,

needto please keep us updated with the apt and hope it goes well (well, as well as can be expected IYKWIM) Angry at your OH getting results. I do think that happens alot though - people take men more seriously with some things for goodness knows what reason Confused

wiggles not such a lady of leisure with Emma then Wink . You sound very laid back about having 4 tiddlywinks all day Shock

knitta good to hear from you. Sounds like you're having a rough time still. Must've been such a stress for you re: pg worry, esp given all your pts stuff. I hope you and your DH get things back on track soon.

ponyo sounds like you had a good old chat with DS which sounds good. Go Anya talking. Alice has finally started saying some more words, although are slightly random in choice - she has added to her repertoire horray, banana, hello, and quack (and yes, I do count quack as a word Grin ). She does over 25 baby signs now though [proud] and can do them in simple sentences too (like more food please no surprises there )

Off to take Alice to her gyn class soon - usually work on tuesday but kids are off timetable so I'm in and out at unusual hours this week. Hopefully pop to work this afternoon and maybe hit the gym too if I have enough energy Confused .

Re: vacum packing clothes - I did that when we went on holiday a few months ago Grin . We had so much stuff and had to take all our own towels too and I fitted soooo much extra in the case as a result. Definitely the way forward in future Grin . Btw mizk I still have a pair of jeans I wore all the time when I was 15 Shock as my 'they will one day fit again' pair.....I'm thinking it'll probably never happen and that's a bit ambitious though...

reastie · 03/07/2012 09:41

xposted american Shock Shock to long sleep by L

americanexpat · 03/07/2012 12:24

reastie - I had a pair of jeans like that, from when I was 8 st and had never been pregnant. They went in the charity shop bag a few months ago because, even if I get back to 8 st (not likely), my tummy is flabbier than it used to be and I doubt they'd fit again. So I bought myself some lovely new ones to replace them. Grin I may have to consider the vacuum bags when we move.

L isn't saying please but he does a crazy maniacal laugh when he sees something he wants, like a cup of milk.

Four4me · 03/07/2012 12:43

Hi all, sorry for being AWOL!

needto hope B's appt gives you some answers.

Just a quick check in to let you all know that tad is over here now (sounds like nightmare journey) and they are coming here on Thursday morning for coffee enroute up north!!! Yeah! Promise photos! Xxx

All as normal here, Archie at Physio for wonky ankles tomorrow.

Waves to all!!!

Emski76 · 03/07/2012 12:59

Hi all
Ned to, sorry B is still being a non sleeper, hope you get some results soon from his tests etc. Maybe its his bottom/tummy causing him to wake in the night and it may all improve when hes better (clutching at straws).

Led, hope your ok. You def haven't been your normal self recently. Hope your chilling and gettingready for your hols.

Ponyo, its nice that you got some time to chat to your sister about your dad. Its got to help to know she feels the same as you. Noah's talking quite a big, he says yeah, no, mummy, daddy, Ben, duck ,cat ,dog. Nursery said he held up two bits of toast last week and said 'two'. He is being booked into Oxford Uni as we speak! Genius child of mine!

Wiggles, whenver you talk about Emma, I always think its about me for about a second. Emma is such a fantastic name, have I said this before??

MizK, sounds like your and dp's night out was good. Dh and I haven't gone out together for ages, I find we have nothing to talk about apart from the children or his bloody work!! We're better off watching tv together in our own little worlds!

American, WOW to L's huge sleep!!!

Four4, enjoy your meet up with Tad! And yes we want lots of piccies!

WeAreBorg · 03/07/2012 16:14

american Jaysus, 13 hours straight???!!!! Could you have imagined writing that this time last year?

needto, ledkr, K2 N is much the same as always with his sleep, he was up 3 or 4 times last night which is standard, the wakings are very brief though thank goodness. He wakes up at a reasonable time, 7-8am or so. Goes to bed anytime between 9pm and midnight Hmm, one nap 30mins to 1.5hours.

ledkr we will be near hay on wye, is that anywhere near you? Sorry DH is being such a pain.

emski Noah sounds so clever! Ben sounds lovely.

ponyo Grin at anya pleading for chocolate, good girl.

Sorry skim read as hoping to type this before He wakes up. Went to messy play again today and yet again His Lordship was immaculate. He really freaked out when he got some shaving foam on him, WTF is up with that??
The class is in a soft play place so we went there before, and ended up playing with some 3yr olds who kept referring to Nate as my friend Grin

WeAreBorg · 03/07/2012 16:17

forgot to say good luck for Bens appointment and Archies one too.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 03/07/2012 16:37

Hello everyone,

borg it's good to know that the sleep thing is quite common, I am very Envy at american being blessed with the sleep stick! Grin

Can't wait to see pics of four4 and tad, cos I'm so nosy!

Thank you to everyone for good luck wishes for today. I think we have made progress of sorts. B has been referred to a bowel specialist and should be seen soon. Poor boy was so bunged up when the doc examined him that he was taken onto the children's ward and given an enema and wow, it did the trick within ten mins!. Doc said he thinks his bowel is enlarged which could be caused by b withholding poo but the specialist will know more. Have been given more movicol and another laxative to give him to hopefully stop the build up getting so bad again. Ben loved being on the ward as he had his own tv over the bed with cbeebies on Grin

Anyway, he's now rubbing crisps into the furniture so suppose I'd better go and carry out some damage limitation.

Love to hear about all the babies talking, b also has over 25 signs from the obvious like milk and nappy to odd ones like tree. He's also just started saying 'this' and just points to everything saying it. Oh, and he might be in an advert at some point for the signing class he goes to

reastie · 03/07/2012 18:29

needto I'm glad things seem to be moving in the right direction (quite literally Grin ) . Can I share your pushy stage mum emoticon please? Alice's gym class is being filmed on Thursday for an advertising video for the class Grin .

Alice's gym class this morning was sooooooooo overcrowded - usually there's maybe up to 10 kiddies there but today I counted way over double that. Bit manic and it seems Alice is now a clown groupie - she just loiters around the class leaders desk for a glimpse of the bigger than Alice sized clown they have (same as the small cuddly one she has which she has an obsession with) in the hope she can give it a hug and a kiss.

borg Grin to Nate being immaculate at messy play. Alice now is a bit obsessed with having clean feet - at the class this morning (and last week too) she kept sitting down, looking at her feet (which had bits of dust etc from the floor on where she has to run around bare foot) and looking disgusted and making disappointed 'oh' noises whilst trying to clean her feet with her hands - weirdo Wink

ems go Noah saying two - he is a genius Grin

four4 yes please - lots of photos (I'm nosy too!)

Best go. Been to the gym again today [smug]

blizy · 03/07/2012 18:37

reastie Grin at Alice and the clown.

needto I'm glad things are moving forward with Ben.

wow at the genious babies!

ledkr How are things?

emski What was Ben doing on stage? I must have misssed the update.

No news from me, I am/have been ill the past few days. I have sinusitis Sad hate it. Hope I'm feeling better tomorrow, I have baby mindee.

OP posts:
Emski76 · 03/07/2012 19:54

Reastie, Ben used to be obsessed with being clean, he wouldn't get dirty at all - thats all changed now!

Blizy, Ben goes to drama on Saturdays and was in his first show last weekend. He was a smurf, a naughty schoolboy and a monkey in the Jungle Book. He was soooooo cute but looked like a deer caught in the headlights. He enjoyed it tho and can't wait until the next show in Feb! Hope you feel better soon. I suffer terribly with my sinuses, it's horrible isn't it?

Well, I've just been to Rainbows and met up with my mentor for my adult leader qualification and she's asked me to start up a new Rainbows unit. I'm so flattered that she thought of me and am very excited! It will be alot of work in the beginning but they already have two assistants ready so I'm going to go for it! Yippee!

Right off to have a shower and put some washing on while I wait for my ice cream to melt (yes another wierd thing of mine - I can't eat ice cream unless it's melted).
