Yo!
Just a quicky (fnar fnar) Hope cake is having a nice time in cp.
mylife this morning sounds poo for you, what do u think is up with E.
memphis L sounds out of sorts, hope that tooth comes through asap.
woods dont feel bad, its hard work and very trying.
So it sounds like we are all having issues with behavour. DH and I had a blazing row yesterday morning about how to deal with bad behavour, we are opposite ends of the spectrum and i dont think we will ever agree. As trudy says we are falling out a lot lately but the pressure is huge right now and its telling on us both. We need to develop a strategy to deal with D that we both agree on. So, open question, how do you deal with behavour and what have you guys found that works best??

viksam · 29/02/2012 20:50

spirael X posted, whats up with the job? Fingers crossed for the other job then. Funny how stress has different effects on people, im the lightest i have been in a few years and DH has droped a stone he recons too.

WhatSheSaid · 01/03/2012 01:43

Chulita · 01/03/2012 09:15

viks hope you get a nap in sometime today, it's hard going!

I'll post later, S is in a demanding mood so better give him some attention :)

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 01/03/2012 17:42

Vik don't ask me how to handle children cos I feel like I don't know what the fuck I'm doing at the moment :(

In Asda this afternoon and ds1 helped himself to a creme egg and started to take the wrapper off. So I obviously had to pay for it Angry Then I popped into WHSmith and he decided he wanted a book. I said 'no, it's a shop not a library, you can't just take a book home because you want it'. Cue utter meltdown. He almost ran out of the fucking door with it in his hand! I tried to go into Hobbeycraft but he was throwing himself around and kicking right off about the book. So I dragged took him back to the car where he continued to scream at me and kick the back of my seat. Then he has continuously wound up his brother for the rest of the day (who has refused to sleep despite 4 car journeys today) and I am further than I have ever been past the end of my tether.

I want to walk out and not come back.

memphis83 · 01/03/2012 17:43

viksam I dont know how the hell im not losing weight! I have only eaten one meal in the last month, I know I eat a lot of snacks, I have baked loads of cakes and not really touched any, I want to be thin! :(
spirael fingers crossed for the job!
Been to work all day, L has had a nice day, feeding ducks and getting spoilt, I went co-op on way home and found my car in the middle of the carpark....seems I left the handbrake off! oops! Blush

The dog has knocked my cake dome over, I dont know how he didnt smash it, he has ripped the wallpaper that we have hung in the kitchen and ripped up a whole box of kniiting wool , Im so annoyed with him, but come home and next door has fixed his bike and has revved it constantly since Ive been home so I know why he has done it its so loud it shakes the house and we arent even attatched to his! no wonder the dogs spooked! Wish we could get him told off for it but as its in daytime we cant!

Chulita · 01/03/2012 19:26

memphis not eating meals is the best way to make your body cling onto weight so that might be your problem. It goes into 'starvation' mode and makes every effort not to lose so any of your snacks will go straight into storage. Same goes for cutting out all fat. Best way to lose weight is to eat regularly, healthy-sized portions and walk a bit.

Crossing fingers for that job spirael

mlisc and viks I'm no good either on behaviour, I've managed ok with L but I'm struggling with S. L started really misbehaving a bit later so she could understand more but S is a freaking nightmare. We'll get through it, I reckon he'll come unstuck when DH is on paternity, DH is a lot stricter than me and I won't be doing much!

I've got a horrible pain on one side of the bump, it came on about 5pm and I couldn't stand up. Of course coinciding with dc needing feeding, S dropped a drawer on his foot, L was crying cos S was crying, I was in so much pain I was just huddled over the cooker about to start crying when DH got home, on time for once! I feel bad cos he walked in, saw me, told me to sit down and sorted the two out, he's still not showered yet. I don't know what it is but it's really painful, I think it's just round ligament pain but argh, I hope it settles or I'm going to have to ring someone.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 01/03/2012 20:20

Sorry about the pain chul :(

My children have been in bed for 1hr 20mins. I feel much better now Grin

memphis83 · 01/03/2012 21:10

chul do you think you should ring your mw?
I know my body is clinging on to my weight, I just cant eat proper meals when im all wound up and feeling low..but tonight I say and actually finished my meal and dh noticed and praised me like a kid, then realised it sounded patronising and said he felt better knowing I had actually eaten as he moans all the time that I should eat proper meals, next week I want to exercise everyday and eat healthy, dh is away til friday from monday and hope to have made a difference!
L bit me tonight for the first time :( it bloody hurt, he clamped down like a ferret! I screamed and he was so shocked he stood in the corner looking upset, hope it shocked him into not doing it again, it wasnt meant in a nasty way im sure just think he saw my arm as another thing to teeth onto!

viksam · 01/03/2012 21:12

chu oh man, sounds horrid, how are you now? I hope the pain has gone now, you need to listen to your body and try and take it easy for the next few weeks, easier said than done i know, it must be so hard with the two.
mylife Your day sounds shit, i wonder why E has decided to act up? Are all his teeth through? Lets face it it could be anything. What was he like in the early days of W coming along can you remember? Same question to all with 2 dc.
Ive had a bearable day with D and F and D even ate all his tea, F fed well this evening but unfortunatly he threw it all up half hour ago so has been disturbed this evening. Im off to bed now leaving dh feeding F, really hope he isnt sick again!
DH is REALLY annoying me tonight, probably best for me to just go to bed, i may do something id regret otherwise!! Rahhhh!!

Chulita · 01/03/2012 21:22

I've had a soak in the bath and while it's aching, the stabbing pain has gone. I think it might be all the carrying I've done today. S won't hold hands so I'm either dragging him or carrying him, L was really weepy after nursery and wanted cuddling while I was chatting to a friend over the fence so that was about 30 mins with a 3 year old on my hip. I'm off to bed now and hoping that sorts it.

memphis S bit L really hard yesterday and she properly screamed poor thing, he looked very sheepish and I'm hoping that's the last time. He's so much more physical than she is, he's started hitting me in the face the last couple of days, terrible twos are upon us...

viks hope you get some sleep, a lot of your irritation is tiredness as I'm sure you know. L flatly ignored S in the early days of him arriving, took her 3 months before she even acknowledged he was there. I caught her yesterday with him on her knee reading him a story so it's all good :)

Chulita · 02/03/2012 08:00

You alright viks?

I had 2.5 hours of "am I, aren't I" contractions from 1.30am Angry both dc slept through too for the first time in 83 years.

Hope you're having a lovely time with no vom in sight cake

memphis83 · 02/03/2012 09:31

chulita typical the first time they both sleep through you were up in the night! So as your still at home I take it your not? Grin Im dreading the terrible twos, L is so good most days but on the day he goes to mums he is a terror as he doesnt get a proper nap in his bed.
viks how was your night?

Last night I knocked the gas on the oven and didnt realise, I went and had a bath and dh went to take dog out, 90 mins later he came in and said the whole house smely of gas Shock I have no sense of smell t all for some reasom and didnt smell it, out bedroom is above the kitchen and it stank of gas apparently, really spooked me as I didnt smell it and what if it was a night dh wasnt there!?
Got nothing planned today, bored already, got some housework to do.
Whats everyone got planned for the weekend? Ithink we are going to the woods tomorrow for a walk and dh is golfing sunday but afte we are going to all you can eat chinese as its £6 a head on a sunday!

kkfairybrains · 02/03/2012 09:41

Jesus its still shitty all round Sad.
How are you feeling now chul? So bloody typical the one night you could have got sleep and you can't. How many days left?
Vik I feel so sorry for you. How is F's colic now?
Mlic god it sounds trying with E! He sounds very strong minded
Shitty shit week here. E is fine but work isn't. Very quiet week and of the few people that were booked in everyone seems to be cancelling Angry seriously I've never seen anything like it. I 've had 7 cancellations and I was meant to have a course on Monday and now that's been bloody cancelled too! Not working til this afternoon so gonna shower now and bring E to the playground

Chulita · 02/03/2012 09:48

Shock how scary! Our cooker/oven shuts off when you close the glass lid so I try to always do it after cooking just to be on the safe side.

And no, I'm not. Bumpling is very hard and uncomfortable today though, near constant BH and back cramps...grr! Cbeebies has been on all morning and I don't see any sign of it going off, I'm finding it so difficult to do anything, I'm dreading next week and sort of wish DH had taken it off as leave. I'm a bit worried about going into labour early though, I have no idea what we'd do with the dc Confused

I think S might be going through a growth spurt, he had a full breakfast around 7 and has just polished off 1 1/2 hot cross buns, a large banana, 2 dried apricots and half a bag of hula hoops. Not sure what to offer him next!

memphis83 · 02/03/2012 10:59

kk how strange, what do you think the reason is behind all the cancellations? everyones just had their payday so it seems really odd!
chulita I always put the lid down as I thought it would shut the gas off but seems it didnt! I also think L is going through a growth spurt, he had a big bowl of rice krispies, then ate half of mine, then a yoghurt and a fruit pot at 9 and has just been crying for a bottle! so he has gone back down for a nap! Im 8 weeks he has gone from a 9-12 month bottoms to an 18-24! he is going into 2-3 tops too! How far are both of your parents from you, if they had to get their quickly?

Chulita · 02/03/2012 11:07

2 hours and 3 hours so it wouldn't be quick!
S is still in 9-12 but if he carries on like this he'll be out of them soon!
I had the bright idea of letting them 'do the washing up' while I got some sewing done...well, the kitchen floor is now a lake and I've done no sewing whatsoever. Just sat down with a packet of smarties and I'm determined to have more than 4 of them, despite the other two's best efforts!

kkfairybrains · 02/03/2012 11:20

Oh chul Grin not funny I know but it's just the way you said it about the kitchen being a lake! God I wish I could come and take the kids off your hands for a while and clean up the water.
E is eating a bit more than usual too. She had 2 rounds of toast this morn and has now just polished 2 small bowls of shreddies! She's in 18-24 months since about Christmas. And now she's asking 'more pease'! Long may it last!
How scary about the cooker Memph. We have an electric cooker so thankfully don't have to worry about gas

viksam · 02/03/2012 11:20

Ohhhhhhhhhhh chu really! would you like to go into natural labour or are u happy with your date? Ur NUTS standing for that long with L! Thats VERY NAUGHTY...............no, thats a very naughty thing to do!! hope today is a better day for u. If cbeebies works leave it on man! When does dh start his mat leave. dont knock S eating, i really wish D would, he had two strawberrys somr grapes and a bananna and date bar for breakfast, dispite being offeref cerial and yog. Hes such a nightmare right now with his food and it really botheres me, he did eat a big tea last night though thank god.
kk thats shit that people are cancelling, what reasons are they giving, hope u have a nice time at playgroup.
Shitty night here again with D, he was awake from 3-4.30ish, then i heard him chatting some time after that, he must be so so tired.
F still struggles to settle in the evening but with the combined use of the swing and the bouncy chair we are managing him ok.
ok, tmi alert, i have a dull aching very very low down, like the very end of my pubic bone, its not nice, im wondering if its just healing after birth, really dont know what else it could be?

Chulita · 02/03/2012 11:29

Grin viks I'd like to go into natural labour just to not be pg any more but in all honesty it would be really inconvenient cos no one would be 'ready' to babysit for us. I'm so over being pg though. S has only just started eating more and he still doesn't eat much at meals, I'm hoping that the growth spurt will mean he'll want to try more things.

kkfairy yes please! what time can you be here? :) What they really need is a run around the park but no hope of that! Hopefully DH will finish around 2pm ish and he can take them out for a leg stretch. I don't mind mopping up the lake, I've still got my pgcy cleaning sponge fetish so any excuse to sponge things up is good with me!

viksam · 02/03/2012 14:13

D is out cold and F is just waking up, ace, i have managed to wash and make the bottles and have lunch though so all is well. The community nurse is coming this afternoon to discuss D's sleeping issue, it will be very interesting to see what she has to say, i really hope she comes up with something out of the norm, bed time routine, day time routing, blah blah blah.
I popped to mothercare this morning and brought a lovely new coat for D at half price, its green and padded like a little burbery, and a little ruck sack at half price too for the cm and nursery. I also got him a wheely ride on thing for the garden, cant afford any of it of course but it was all at a good price.
Whos doing what the weekend?

viksam · 02/03/2012 20:19

Thread Killer!!?

CakeandRoses · 02/03/2012 20:28

we went! we're back! it was brill! deffo the right decision to go - she bucked right up almost as soon as we got there. will catch up properly layer but did i read that right chul - you might be going into labour?!!!!!!

Chulita · 02/03/2012 21:16

No cake definitely not going into labour, just lots of build up that's driving me crazy! Today's been constant bh, almost non-stop. Just watched Cowboys and Aliens and now off to bed, hopefully to sleep better than last night.
Glad you had a lovely time at CP, I take it everyone else is still there (apart from viks, memphis and me Wink )

viks I'm hopefully sending DH and the DC off in the morning so I can get a sleep, height of excitement for my weekend Grin I had hoped one of my brothers would visit to help pass the time but he cancelled last minute...again. I've stopped telling L when they're planning to visit cos she gets quite disappointed when they don't, this is the 6th time in a year that one of my younger brothers has cancelled at the last minute Angry
