Happy birthday to all mummies and babies who had their birthday on Friday 14th! What a great day!

Jack will be 1 in 8 days. We still have 6 teeth and he has also joined the walkers club!! Started properly taking the odd step and has now progressed to walking on demand :)

Happy Easter to all xx

happy easter to you2 am. hope you and tootired had lovely birthdays, sorry i missed them. well, francesca has been poorly and then just as she is feeling loads better - she has her first fall Sad i totally panicked cos she cut her lip and there was blood everywhere, she's ok now, though i'm still bit shaky! she's walking a lot better now, she has a right hissy fit if i try and put her in her pushchair when she wants to walk! lol am, does jack do this?

aprilmeadow · 17/04/2006 10:25

Oh dear poor thing. Jack has only really just masetered it, i think he is still a few weeks behind Francesca, although i am sure it wont be long before we are having the same problems :)

Hello

Hope everyone had a good easter, we all did :)

still no nearer to Darcie making that first few steps on her own, but she'll get there soon i think.

fransmom · 19/04/2006 15:13

darcie will be fine, she's just taking her own sweet time so don't worry (((hugs)))

Darciesmum · 20/04/2006 08:45

Hi All

Need ppls opinion, Darcie is will not eat anything off a spoon or fork, so effectivly shes not eating dinner or cereal.

what should i do?

fransmom · 20/04/2006 14:03

hi darciesmum, the only way i could get francesca to eat was to sit her at the table with us while we were eating with "adult" cutlery and it took a while but she now won't eat with anything but my fork or my spoon. hows she and u today?

fransmom · 20/04/2006 21:45

hows u rubysmum, not heard from you for a while. hope you ok.

Hello everyone -

Happy birthday to all the april babies - we've got another week to wait - will have to start thinking about doing something to make it special!

Having a hectic time trying to cram loads in before I go back to work next week - ahhh. DH just anounced that he's working away most of the week, still haven't managed to work out the logistics of getting everyone out of the house in the morning!

Ds got another tooth yesterday - got a grand total of 4 now. All the effort has left him tired an so he's been in bed for the las 2 hours! We went and got his first shoes last week - had to go for expensive clarkes ones as like the rest of him he's got fat feet and no where else did wide enough fittings!

DM - just empty darcie's food onto her tray and let her use her fingers to eat - yes it's messy but loads goes in! (I would never have done this with my dd as i was a clean freak - with ds I'm beyond caring as every where is always a tip!)

Darciesmum · 21/04/2006 19:32

Hi i brought darcie her own set of cutlery, so tried her so she can feed herself, but just throws the fork/spoon on the floor. eating with her hands she doesn't do that either,it just goes on the floor!

RubysmumX · 21/04/2006 21:06

hi fransmom. been meaning to get back online after returning from our Easter hols in Mallorca. gosh, we needed that. Hadn't had a holiday in soooo long, it was also nice to prove to ourselves that we could go away with a little one. Ruby loved it, especially being carried around in a backpack all week, which gave me the added break from pushing a pushchair!

Happy birthday to all. Ours is nearly upon us, but to be honest I've been really lax in arranging anything and so hope dd won't notice.

Ruby came back wanting to walk around aided, which is good fun but is doing me back in. So took her to the local park with her stroller that we use indoors and she went for miles!

fransmom · 22/04/2006 15:33

wait til she wants to walk unaided - then you'll find loads of odd ways to keep her occupied in upermarkets! Grin i meant that in a nice way Smile

Hello Everyone - Just recovering from Jacks birthday party this afternoon. Everyone had a great time and Jack was SOOOOOO good. We had a blow up ball pool and lots of toys to play with, and i hired a fab hall to hold it in.

Looking forward to curling up on the sofa tonight and relaxing

Cant beleive that on Monday my baby will be 1

Hope eveyone has the same gorgeous weather that we are having here.

Happy birthday to Alana for yesterday.

Jack must have been shattered from the party as he slept through from 7.15pm to 7am. First time in ages!

Starting to think back to this time last year and how i was at a family party totally unaware that Jack was think about making his entrance. My labour started at 1.30am 24/4 and he was born at 18.11. I jast cant believe how fast this year has gone and how a year ago i was pg and now i have a walking chatterbox Grin

happy birthday Jack and to Alana. it's all getting very emotional seeing them get to this age, isn't it.

As her last night as an under one I let Ruby off from putting her nappy on immediately after her bath this evening, she rewarded me by peeing on the rug! Grin
