harrumph to all men that think we can't manage without them!

dm - ask around friends / family for anyone with special skills and ask if they can donate their skills as wedding presents. for dresses, register at local shops and ask when they have their sales. make your own tables decs etc by sourcing local shops / hobbycraft ( ithink they have a website - hobbycraft.co.uk(?) ) for craft materials/ideas etc.

as for xmas decs - hah! haven't even checked to see if they still usable yet! tho i, sorry we have bought most of francesca's presents now. just have three more to get. poss goingt o use alt.gifts such as world vision ones. does any1 know of others?

DM it took me 15mths to plan my wedding and i loved every minute of it. I organised the whole lot. Got married in the village church and then booked the village hall and decorated it and got caterers in the lot. I dont know how cheap is cheap but i spent just under 10K and that included dresses, flowers, suits, photographer food for 142 people etc etc!

Have a peek at www.confetti.co.uk they have lots of bits and bobs on there for creating your own wedding. They also offer a schedule that gets put together based on your dates etc and tells you when things should be done depending on whether you have a church or civil ceremony.

Hello every one - not been on for a while (have changed name a while ago - from leggym - feel like a slpit personality now!)

DM - congratulations on the date. We got married a while ago (7 years I think!) for under £2500 including dress (from monsoon)/suit (hired)/Photographer (a friend with a good camera)/venue (pub with free room hire)/food (asked them to do a buffet for a set price rather than per head)/evening entertainment (had karioke sp?! (we wnated a band but couldn't affordit) he said he'd never done a wedding before but worked really well)/ Honeymoon - the best bit ( 2 weeks in Las vegas and california). You can do it cheaply if you don't get dragged into living upto what everyone else wants!

Patrick has finally got 6 teeth and we're going through the night - yippee only took 18 months! Have found that I've actually started to enjoy being a mum with 2 recently, everything seems to have clicked into place and become easier. I'm not quite as misserible as I was.

I can even cope with those great tantrums - how are everyone elses going!? It took me 20 minutes to get him into the car after nursery the other night as he wanted the christmas decoration on the door. He's so big I can't lift him into the car so he was just rolling around on the floor stopping everyone else coming in or out!

Wedding is off, i broke up with Phil over the weekend, he was being really petty because i was ill and couldn't go shopping with him and he got annoyed over it, i told him i wasn't apologising for being ill and i'm fed up of arguing over stupid things, he said okay then i don't want to see you again, and he couldn't of been that bothered about our relationship as he never tried to talk about it, he came over threw the xmas present i brought him back in my face, picked up 2 series of scrubs and walked out.
i feel really down, but am going to focus all my attention to Darcie.

Thanks your support is greatly appreciated, having been feeling down but have to get on for darcies sake. have been to work and they guys there think i deserve better as i'm such an outgoing and bubbly person, and have been getting lots of hugs from them. the girls agree although all said he seemed a nice guy when they met him.
but hey ho life goes on.

Am still looking forward to xmas tho.

hi dm hows you tonight? not sure if it will help but i find that whenever i am down, fran will always sense that something is up with me and will always be round me more. she will pull me to my feet and usually make me start dancing or pull faces at me or just get me off my arse.
my rather long winded point is that when i have to look after francesca on my own (if p/dp {depending on how i feel} then its sheer bloody-mindedness that keeps us going!

it's a pity u didn't live closer, you could've come out for my birthday!

i don't really know (makes me sound like mavis from corrie don't it!?) he was looking at something on sky tv and didn't quite know how he got on it. so i tried and found out it was sky active. i said we don't know how much it costs. but we had a quick look round cos i wanted to find out how to do multi-start in advance of the actual screening. (this is hogfather we're talking about btw.) am going out when it will be on. anyway. was lookin ground for this thing and he starts don't he? "you want to be careful cos it could be costly" but it's nasty. i don't know where it came from. i ask him not to talk to me like that and he turns round and said that i want to be careful how i talk to him! i just don't understand what happened io can't be living my life like this. i was actually quite happy tonight - i haven't felt happy cos of pnd for ages and now its all pear shaped again. i have to be up for 6 in the morning, i'm so tired, and yet i don't want to go to bed now - i'd rather sleep on the settee - but at least i have the quilt - serves him right ( grim)

am feeling bit lonely now and starting to sink again better go sleep i think.night all

try to cheer up chick, i know its hard but you should try and stand up to your DP and say don't talk to me like that and stand your ground. easier said than done i know but you will be so much better off for it.

Going to finish my xmas shopping today need volunteers now for wrapping them all!!!

I'm doing okay, Phil called in a drunken state sunday nite said can't live without me but told him he hurt me and won't be his girlfriend again till i've gained his trust and he hung up on me. and not heard from him since but his loss not mine.

I'm really looking forward to xmas with Darcie and my family.
