Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
fransmom · 21/11/2006 20:53

hi everyone!

ttm, what new injection? i haven't had any letter saying anything like it yet.

situation much same, tho no arguments for past two nights. told him wasn't sure how i felt about him or whether i still wanted to get married. haven't worn engagement ring for nearly a week now. family coming down for dd's re-arranged bday party (you may remember that p was in hospital with pneumonia for her original party) - not sure how to cope with it. sis has been talking with her p about getting married, nothing concrete but i knew they would as soon as i saw their photo. when i last spoke to sis, my first thought when i came off the phone was how do i hide my depression? esp if she so happy

toytownmum · 21/11/2006 21:18

He has got to have the meningitis jab as part of this catch up program for under twos, I think I read about a month ago you all discussing that your lo have already had the jab - my drs are just slow!!!

fransmom · 21/11/2006 21:45

ah! is that 5 in1 jobbie?

toytownmum · 21/11/2006 22:21

Yes I believe so.

fransmom · 22/11/2006 21:48

right. the way babies react is different. usual advice is to give calpol half hour before inj to give it time to kick in. the rubella part kicked in first with fran, i think. she had a reaction to it - she had a v.high temp, we used a braun thermoscan which showed 39.something so we whipped her straight to a+e, kept her as cool as poss without her being cold and plenty of fluids and cuddles. a+e gave her stronger version of calprofen and that helped a little.

then the measles part kicks in, fran just had some red spots - a mild reaction apparently and was abit grizzly. then the mumps part was sposed to kick in but she didn't have a noticeable reaction to that one. mind you, both my sis and bro had mumps when we were younger and i didn't get it so maybe she immune anyway. if you are at all worried talk to your gp/ practice nurse/hv/mn.........

fransmom · 27/11/2006 20:45

toytownmum · 28/11/2006 23:09

TTM x x x

Darciesmum · 29/11/2006 08:26

Hey TTM & FM - How r things going?

I'm great thank you, nearly ready for xmas just a few more presents to buy.

Phil said he wants to marry me, and we are currently looking for somewhere to live, he said once settled he promises to get down on one knee with a ring and propose!!!

fransmom · 29/11/2006 21:26

wow wow wow wow dm that's great news! i'm so pleased for you x

toytownmum · 29/11/2006 22:01

DM - How exciting. That really is excellent news.

Darciesmum · 30/11/2006 10:25

Thanx TTM is really exciting, will need help on wedding planning soon, lets hear the bells ring

Howz everything in Toytown?
FM howz fran and things with DP?
AM- howz it going?

fransmom · 30/11/2006 20:50

ding dong ding dong
the bells are going to chime...
i think i got the song wrong!

things a lot better now thanks dm. we are tlaking a lot more (basically we can't afford going to relate so it's forced to - but in a good way). dp said he feels at a loss when i have a pnd episode and doesn't know how to help when i don't know either - bit sad really, the only thing that keeps us going is the knowledge that sooner or later it passes no matter how hard it is. at the moment it feels like we falling in love again

aprilmeadow · 30/11/2006 21:23

DM - thats fantastic news! I am so pleased for you.

SOrry i have been absent recently. Moved house last friday and having to survive on a dial up connection! Will be catching up properly once broadband is sorted

Found out today that the girl who took my purse has gone to prison as she was already out on bail

Lots of love TTM x x

Darciesmum · 01/12/2006 08:56

Thanx all,
AM- glad your okay, hope your settled in the new house soon.

FM - Glad you and DP are working through things.

TTM - Good to hear things in ToyTown are okay.

And girls i don't want a big wedding just want small and traditional, so will need tips on how to keep things cheap LOL

SnowyMeadow · 02/12/2006 08:59

Ah broadband is a wonderful thing

Managed to hide most of hte boxes in either the garage or the spare room/nursery. We have managed to sort the lounge and Jacks room out so far so at least thats a start!

Am 18wks now and get to see bubs again in 3 weeks. Very excited about that! I want to tell you ladies what flavour it is, but will be worried that my RL friends will find out. I have said that i am not telling as they dont think i can keep a secret. Might have to CAT one or two of you

Hope the kiddies are all doing well. Jack seems to like his new house and is as chatty as ever.

Take care and speak to you all soon xx

ps. do you like my festive name

toytownmum · 02/12/2006 20:44

snowymeadow..... Love the new name

Glad to hear you are settling in well, and that you have your priorities sorted (broadband)

SnowyMeadow · 03/12/2006 17:59

Thanks TTM. Dh runs a business from home so has felt a bit lost this last week as the dial up is so slow!

Am so excited! Dh has just plumbed in our brand new, first ever DISHWASHER! That was my second priority!

Going to have a good evening snuggling on the sofa watching an audience with Take That - had to record it from last night.

Darciesmum · 03/12/2006 18:16

Love the new name.
seeing the bubs will be lovely, and finding out what it is, how exciting!!!

Well date for the wedding is 8th August 2008. so 16mths to go, we are both really excited. but we are trying to keep secret from our familys till he actually gets down on one knee but i have a feeling he'll either do it over xmas, on my birthday or valentines day.
but we can start planning next yr although we know where we want to get married and hold our reception!

Hope everyone else is well? and are you all excited that xmas is coming?

toytownmum · 03/12/2006 19:52
