ttm, don't be. everytime fran cuts a tooth she keeps waking sometimes screaming often crying, i feel really sorry for her but other than giving her calpol or calprofen 10 minutes before her last bottle so it kicks in before she is ready for bed, there not much else i can do for her.

there are other times she is really happy tho - especially when she is trying on new shoes, nothing at all like me then...........

Darciesmum · 10/09/2006 16:07

FM Phil hasn't been vetted through mumsnet yet!!!
will wait for you all to terrorise him LOL!

fransmom · 10/09/2006 20:18

Darciesmum · 11/09/2006 18:10

fransmom · 11/09/2006 20:55

francesca not feeling too well tonight - i think she may have nappy rash or a water infection, she won't drink enough water, sometimes i can only get her to drink it if i sit down in front of her and physically drink some myself - which is no bad thing really. i do wish those back teeth would stop giving her gip

Darciesmum · 14/09/2006 10:31

HI FM hope Frans feeling better,
Darcie has got a snuffly nose but is okay! Just won't go for her morning/afternoon nap!!

Things are going well with Phil, He told me he loved me and i feel the same way it feels i've known him forever its really strange.

Hope things are well with everyone else

fransmom · 14/09/2006 21:33

fransmom · 19/09/2006 21:10

hi am so excited for you! seems ages since mine now.

lockets hows you all keeping?

francesca at defeiant stage too - if i tell her no, she just keeps doing it and then kind of lowers her head but looks up at me from behind her fringe to see if i'm still watching her! lol
i have a sneaking suspicion that this is what my late mom meant when she said i was defiant

aprilmeadow · 22/09/2006 07:45

LOL FM - Jack is exactly the same, although he doesnt have a fringe to hide behind! HE tends to bite his bottom lip and gets this horrible face or just looks straight through me!!

We have told him that mummy has a baby in her tummy, and when you ask him if there is a baby he nods his head! He also gives my tummy a kiss - very cute

Hi there, everyone!

Just a quick update to say that things seem to be going ok at last. Got made redundant, but managed to find a new job quite quickly, thank goodness. I've got a couple of weeks off - on holiday as I write this - so a bit of time to chill out before starting the new job.

DD is absolutely fantastic. If I'd known this time last year, when she STILL wasn't sleeping, that things would have been this good now, it would have kept me going. I had a look at our 'sleep chart' the other day from last year, and realised that she really didn't sleep for more than four hours in a row until she was eight months old!!! No wonder I was a bit of a wreck!

Anyway, she goes down just after 7pm now and sleeps til 7am - amazing .

Sorry to hear about the sickness, aprilmeadow. I got it badly with DD too. The only thing that helped me was sherbet lemons. Might be worth a try?

aprilmeadow · 22/09/2006 16:12

Glad to hear things are looking up for you Verso. Will give the sherbert lemons a go

ah jack sounds really sweet! the only thing that really worked for me was millions of shares in gaviscon and ginger biscuits!

fransmom · 23/09/2006 21:44

fransmom · 25/09/2006 20:45

Darciesmum · 26/09/2006 17:02

HI All

Verso glad to hear you are ok!

Darcie has had a cold this week and been up all nite but is ok.
Phil told me he's fallen in love with me and i love him to its scary how fast it happens,Darcie loves him to and calls his name and gives him cuddles and kisses so all going well.

fransmom · 26/09/2006 21:20

hi verso, hope you ok x
am hope the morning sickness is getting better x
dm, is the court of mumsnet now in session then? [v.cheeky ]

fransmom · 26/09/2006 21:22

things going down the pan for me at the mo with dp i am sick of telling him the same things over and again, things are good for a couple of days then it's back to normal with all the arguing and atmosphere etc only no wi have dd to think about too

Verso · 27/09/2006 07:00

DM - glad to hear things are going so well with Phil. Sounds lovely!

Fransmom {{{hugs}}}. Sounds like your situation is the complete opposite. If it's any consolation, DH and I had a terrible time earlier this year but we got through it. It's tough, though, and I do sympathise. Is it anything specific, or just day-to-day irritation? (I say 'just' but that can be equally, if not more, annoying!)

Darciesmum · 27/09/2006 08:36

FM - sorry to hear things are not going to well but i'm sure you'll get through it.

and i guess Court is now in session

fransmom · 28/09/2006 22:39

it's better than it was - not quite there yet but we need to sort soemthing out for dd's sake.

all rise.......

WishICouldGiveUpWork · 28/09/2006 23:07

Hi all!
Feel dreadful that after my first hello I disappeared into the ether....well what with work and a nightmare nanny fomr hell who I had to get rid of after only a week I have been rather frazzled.
Am very lucky I work from home a bit but who si kidding who you can work AND look after a 17mt old terrorist.I have had Fimbles in the printer, teletubbies in the shredder and all manner of stuff jammed in my keyboard-life has been somewhat challenging.
However, calm reigns now (she is in bed)-no,old nanny has come back to help us out so life is a whole lot better-back t a bottle a night instead of two!

Lockets-I haev NO idea how you cope but admire you greatly.
Verso-glad everything seems to be going your way-doesn't sleep make the whole world seem a better place?

DarciesMum-you know we need to vet Phil so bring him on!

Fransomom-chin up honey
My late Mum told me the same thing about being defiant-I guess our DD's have something in common!

Anyway-sorry for those I've missed-gotta get on with work catch up.Have a great weekend all....
