Hey Girls

Howz it going?
Well Darcie done both deeds on the potty yesterday and clapped at herself i am a very proud mummy!!!

Hi AM glad Jack enjoyed the Airshow, did DH see the Airbus A380? what did he think?

Darciesmum · 27/07/2006 08:36

HI Everyone

Well we are not doing so well in this heat, but we are plodding on! The Thunder Storms are not making much difference to Darcie, been waiting for her to flinch or scream but nothing!!!

toytownmum · 30/07/2006 21:39

Hello all,
Hope you are all well and enjoying the summer, we had a lovely holiday - although it seems forever ago now.
Took DS2 for his MMR last week and he screamed the place down, it was really heart breaking.
DM - I am very impressed with the potty, I am struggling with DS1 at the moment let alone DS2!!

leggymamba · 01/08/2006 12:48

Poor you with the MMR! DS didn't notice it happening! - not sure if his thighs are so fat there's no feeling in them or the connections between body and brain are a bit slow!

He's finally started walking - had 3 major accidents in the week since he has though - including a trip to the dentist after he smashed the tips off his front teeth. They were nasty and jagged but look loads better now. He's also walking around with a scabby nose after a road traffic accident at nursery (came off worse than the bike!)

Can see many trips to A&E ahead

Darciesmum · 04/08/2006 08:55

Hi All

Leggy hope DS is better after his accident.

Darcie has got ear infection, is not to bad but is teething again so not good combination.
She is ok other than that.
If the weather is good we are going to the Portsmouth & Southsea show tomorrow should be fun!

aprilmeadow · 09/08/2006 19:59

Heeeeelllllllllloooooooooooo, where is everyone......

DM - How is Darcie's ear infection? I hope it has cleared up and that her teeth have stopped causing her pain. How was the Portsmouth and Southsea show?

Leggy - How is DS's walking coming along? IS he a bit more steady now?

Jack is doing well. Slept last night under his duvet for the first time, rather than sleepingin his grobag.

Anyway, hope everyone else is doing well x

Hi

AM - Jack is a big boy now!!!, Darcie sleeps ontop of her duvet as she gets very hot overnite so sleeps with blanket.

Leggy hope DS is ok?

Darcie is cutting her fang teeth so will be painful, and she has officially hit terrible two's early, she threw her very first temper tantrum monday nite, face to the floor screaming, hitting the floor crying and screaming so much stopped breathing took me and my sister half hour to calm her down to breathe properly again!! i used to do it as a baby so gets that from me
Portsmouth and Southsea show was good but weather was very hot so didn't stay to long!

aprilmeadow · 09/08/2006 21:42

DM - LOL at tantrum.. I have to laugh or i would cry!

When did they suddenly decided to personalities of their own..? Jack is definately entering (if not already there) the terrible 2's. He is really testing the boundaries. I say 'NO' and he looks at me and laughs. We went to a friends house on Sunday and their little boy isnt walking yet so no need for a stair gate, well that was an open invitation for Jack to spend half an hour climbing up and down and watching my temper raise!! In the end i called DH to come and see our friends new house and in the process of him getting up from the desk he welded his toe on our penny jar and broke his 5th Metatarsal (sp?)!! So all in all a GREAT day!

aprilmeadow · 10/08/2006 19:55

Hello! DD does temper tantrums too - but only briefly as yet. Just gets frustrated when you can't understand her immediately. Mostly she's lovely though - very very affectionate. Comes up and says "hiya!", wraps her arms round your neck and gives you a big sloppy kiss. Bless!

Darciesmum · 15/08/2006 18:18

Verso-good to hear you and DD are well.

Darcie slept allnite in her own bed last nite, and as got new shoes but r quite loud inthe pavement, keeps banging her feet on the floor coz she likes the sound

aprilmeadow · 15/08/2006 19:30

Ah bless her!!

Jack is doing really well at sleeping now he is under a duvet. Only wakes once forhis milk and thats usually 6-6.30am, although he is starting to go through now.

Hiya Verso, good to hear from you

as it does help!!!

mummyplonk · 21/08/2006 10:48

I think it was Winter when I last went on this thread, how rubbish am I? Jack is now 15.5 months old and the naughtiest little monkey I have ever met, as he is so cute he manages to get away with it most of the time though. The reason I havnt been on is that on my birthday in May, I had another little monkey! A lovely little boy called Daniel, (yep, just a 13 month age gap, gulperoonie).

Must admit this is the hardest I have ever worked in my life, they both seem to want me at the same time so have to walk around with Daniel attatched to my boob whilst trying to remove Mega Blocks from the Washing Machine and Marmite Sandwiches from the DVD player (kidding I am not) but it is wonderfull seeing Jacks look of inquisitiveness (such a word?) at his little brother as he tries to feed him all of his food and poke his dummy up his nose.

Jacks got a head full of teeth now and is getting really chatty, lots of animal noises and lots of Sweedish noises..sounding like Doidydoidydoidy, is trying to run everywhere and loves playing hide and seek. It's horrible how he always falls and hurts himself when he's tired though. He has gone off all fruit except dried fruit and will let me know if he dosnt like it by spitting and throwing it accross the room. A few of you have mentioned the onset on the tantrums, yep am starting to see it here as well, he lies on the floor rolling over wailing and kicking and punching. I have found the best thing and often the only thing I can do is ignore it, it's usually prompted when I say "No" to him doing something, like emptying the whole contents of the fridge on the floor.

If I do have number 3 I'll have to engineer a nice quiet, clean tidy girl I think else my house will not be standing. Great to hear how everyone is getting on, sorry to ramble been the first time they are both actually having a nap at the same time for 3 months I think. God, what am I thinking, I could actually have a shower, Ta ra. x

Darciesmum · 22/08/2006 12:30
