Thanks for the tip off on the BF thread, Cabe. V interesting. Don't think i'm going to get chance for my babymoon at the weekend though as have 2 lots of builders coming round for quotes as well as planning things for DD1's birthday party next weekend...amongst other things. Have had a gentle day today though and am feeding Abi whenever she shows the slightest interest. Will continue this over the weekend and hope it boosts milk supply.
Hope everyone else ok.

Hello!

Yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa - just comming out of shock! At Ultrasound yesterday was told I had two dark nodules one of either side of my thyroid. I feared the worst however my doctor got the results this afternoon and they were both empty hollow tiny spaces - so no need to do anything further! bit like inside my head!

Rachel has a tooth coming through and ds was star of the week in class - for working the hardest! Going out this evening with friends. So the 13th not so bad after all! Will get the bouncer out tomorrow!!

Cabe · 13/01/2006 18:23

Wonderful news Simplyred
and well done to your little man for doing so well in class

Have a great time out... lovely way to end what has been a really good day for you xx

jaamy · 13/01/2006 23:14

WOW SR! Well done to your little man - you must be swelling with pride. And go rachel with that toothy peg!! Good news on your thyroid too. Have a fab night out and don't forget to put on the lottery tomorrow for some more good news.

lexiemum · 13/01/2006 23:31

can I join? relatively new to MN - been wandering around boards since late nov and now starting to leave messages etc.

Had dd2 in sept -23rd.weighed in a 8lb2oz at 22.10 and is an absolute darling in comparison to her big sis (2.9)

jaamy · 13/01/2006 23:43

Welcome Lexiemum!
You'll find that we're quite a nice bunch here, very east going, supportive and always love a newby!
I had DD2 on Oct 10th (was due 24th Sept hence why I'm on Sept thread) at 1.42am. Weighing 8 10oz. DD1 is 2yo a week on mon.
Will see if i can find the sept 05 stats thread for you so you can see when all our little ones arrived, names, weights, etc.

jaamy · 13/01/2006 23:48

Lexiemum - Have bumped up our stats thread for you on the ante-natal section. Sorry no good at links! You may notice a couple of name changes - I used to be jessysmummy.

jaamy · 14/01/2006 07:48

How very depressing! Last to post last night and first to post this morning!!!!
Morning all! Am up bright and early with my 2yo who has a very sore bum. Poor little mite won't let me touch her.

Simplyred · 14/01/2006 08:57

Hello lexiemum

& morning all - feeling tired! nights out too exhusting for old bird like me!

lexiemum · 14/01/2006 09:50

morning all. thx jammy, went over and had a look - shall hopefully remember a few names.

been up since 6 but hey, got 13hrs with both in bed undisturbed - a small miracle. done the ironing and now dh up and is sending me back to bed - so will catch you all later.

mummyhill · 14/01/2006 10:17

Good Morning.

Welcome Lexiemum.

I was up at 3.30 this morning, think misterman is having yet another growth spurt he is allready in 6-9 month clothes. Then just as I was dropping back of to sleep dd had a nightmare and wet the bed, by the time I had her sorted out and was crawling back into bed david decided it was time for another snack which meant that dd was disturbed again and climbed in with us. Yeahhh no more sleep for mummy as dd thrashes about and kicks in her sleep. I am covered in bruises.

We have a tooth waiting just under the gum line too and am waiting for it to break through.

Cabe - can you txt me your home no as I have lost it and keep getting your voice mail on the mobile. I am having a few problems with my messenger account atm and would love to arrange another get to gether.

LoveMyGirls · 14/01/2006 12:14

HI everyone, hope you're all ok im feeling a bit down, i've managed to get jess to go without feeding in the night now for about a week but she's still waking in the night whingeing ever 10mins or so for about 3 hours a night so im absolutly exhausted she's also got a cold and isnt feeding very well so that could be another reason she keeps waking (but its not a hunger cry when she wakes). she only put on 1oz in the last week i put a quarter of a rusk in her bottle last night shes 15 weeks so i kno i should wait but im worried about her lack of weight gain. to add to it im feeling rough myself and dp is working all weekend. sorry im feeling a bit sorry for myself think ill go and have a nice bath and hopefully will feel better.

i lost 5lb since new year (on the bright side) and OFSTED came round on wednesday and they said i should get my certificate through in about a month, scary to think ill have my own business by march.

Cabe · 14/01/2006 15:17

Mummyhill - will text my home number... I get a very poor signal on my mobile in the house which is probably why you can't get through. I've been a home-bird these last few days to keep frequent feeding going
Sorry you've had trouble getting hold of me and I'd also love another meet-up xx

Welcome to the thread Lexiemum It's a lovely supportive thread (Jaamy 'quite nice'???? we're LOVELY!!!! )

Simplyred - did you enjoy the night out? I've not ventured an evening out so far - this is partly because I'd want dp there (as we only have intermittent contact!) and he's the only one I'd want to baby-watch! (just isn't going to happen is it?)

I had to wake Conrad to feed him in the night... then he's a wide-awakey baby and want's to play after his feed... It's amazing what you resort to watching on the box in the wee small hours - it was Skiing last night!!

Loads of chores to do whilst little man has a snooze so I'd better go

Cabe · 14/01/2006 15:21

LMG - sorry you're down... you've got real positives there though, getting back to a trimmer figure is always a bit of a boost and I've known Childminders who have a real task getting past the OFSTED inspection so you've done very well!
Good Luck with it all x

LoveMyGirls · 14/01/2006 18:43

thanks cabe, i havent been out of the house today so that doesnt help but i just couldnt face it, no where to go, no money etc so i stayed in on the bright side jess has had 2 fairly decent feeds and seems a bit better and dd1 has had loads of fun playing all day while i have MN'ed and watched crap TV dp is still not home and might not be til 8/9 pm but i cant complain about that too much considering your position. (i think your really brave i h8 it when dp's not here)

As for the childminding business im really looking forward to it just a bit nervous about it all really

milward · 14/01/2006 19:47

simplyred great news!!! xxx what a relief
lovemygirls - super for your business. Good going
cabe - how you doing with your course? hope it's going well
mummyhill - hope you get some sleep. I slept 2hrs this afternoon as dh looked after the little ones. ds4 slept & bf next to me. Now dd3 has a high temp - so not going to get much sleep tonight.

Have decided to watch more tv to relax!! - but what's good? This week I've watched the try before you buy house programme (what's it called!!) in the morning - but it stops next week!!

Cabe · 14/01/2006 20:04

Milward - Hmmm I'd love to have every bit of work really under control but know this, with the little man, is just unrealistic. I'm concentrating on Assessed work and just those subjects I want to cover for the exams... the quantity of reading expected is daunting but I'm trying to be relaxed and enjoy it

mummyhill · 14/01/2006 22:01

Had a nap on the sofa this afternoon and feel mightly refreshed thanks.

jaamy · 14/01/2006 22:37

Oh dear - don't know what to do with myself. Both girls in bed and DH out with nextdoor neighbour celebrating the birth of their baby boy...ho hum. Should really try to get an early night.
LMG - it's good to have a day at home now and again. Sounds like you've had a quality day with your DDs...much better than any saturday out fighting through the crowds!!
Night night all!

Simplyred · 15/01/2006 09:41

Morning!

Off to church to organize Rachel's christening! then going to Pil's for lunch and then to a Panto - OH YES I AM!!!

HeyBaby · 15/01/2006 10:01

Have had weekend from hell. Struck down by food poisoning so up every 5 seconds on Friday night. Then fed DS on Sat morning after which he promptly puked all over his bed. Accordingly had to do load of laundry and prepare bottle for him. Spent the day expressing "contaminated" breastmilk by hand and feeding DS formula from bottle. Meanwhile could not keep anything down myself so totally dehydrated and weak and dizzy. Of course DH away at a conference! Thank goodness the nightmare is nearly over ....

Cabe · 15/01/2006 12:37

simplyred - the vicar's BEHIND YOU!

hey-baby - do you know what gave you the food poisoning? hope you can return to bfing today and your dh pampers you rotten when he gets back {{{hugs}}}

milward · 15/01/2006 14:04

Weighed myself in stones today - on my old scales!! Now 10 stone - but kilos I gained in preg equal 14 stone!!! Used to be just under 9 stone. Quite shocked. Think the bf is using up the blubber!! - plus could be my thyroid tablets are at correct level. Hope so.

jaamy · 15/01/2006 14:59

Poor you heybaby Nothing worse than having to look after littlies when you are ill. Hope doing ok now.
Simplyred at you sorting out rachels christening. I've been meaning to get Abigail's sorted for ages. Hope you enjoy the panto...oh yes you will...
Still up to our ankles in pooie nappies. DD1 still has a poorly bum. Must be something she ate though as DH, Abi and I'm alright. Seems to be dragging on a bit though.
Have a nice sunday afternoon all!

jaamy · 15/01/2006 15:02

Milward- have i read your post correctly? Have you lost FOUR STONES??? Well done!
