Morning all, well dd was awake in the night for an hour again but that did mean she woke at 8 so hopefully clocks changing etc should go smoothly. Well done C for delia - what a little star!

Have just rung out of hours gp for A as she has not had much milk or water since yest and her mouth looks a bit dry - got an appt at 1.30. Might be being pfb but better safe than sorry.

Hello all, yes was a little tipsy after 2 cocktails but trust that I was far worse by the end of the night! Oh well, in vino veritas, all the nice things I said were true! I will pay for being a lush later on as DD1 is having a sleepover, Halloween themed no less. I shant need face paint to look ghoulish, my hangover is doing that for me.

BORING ALERT FEEL FREE TO SKIP my parents were whinging about us only having one bathroom, and want their own one when they come to stay. They have offered to lend us the money, no interest and can pay it back whenever (hope they forget they're pretty old). I am excited (saddo) and think I might turn the back bedroom into a really nice quite large bathroom. It has a little cast iron fireplace in there too, so I'm thinking roll top bath and window shutters

Staying with my parents is great, all meals cooked, N gets taken out so I can slob around in my PJs, mum peels and chops my fruit for me (hee hee), tea and biccies on tap, and offer of a new bathroom! Might have to tell DH that I'm leaving him for my folks.

Things are good here. DD1 has started reception class and has settled in well and DD2 is OK but has struggled with teething a bit. Seems ok at the moment though

ponyo oh glad Anya is okay and that she had lots of food. Thrush is a fungal infection that can stop them eating/drinking because it hurts, nothing to worry about, the meds should clear it very quickly

My dad is trying and failing to feed N his (late) supper. N however is trying to feed grandpa with a spoon and doing a better job!

ponyo Alice had thrush - it's like thrush in your ladybits (if you've had it) - a yeast infection. Alice had daktarin for it and a couple of days was nearly gone . Sorry to say she was moany when she had it though

borg turning a bedroom into a bathroom?? . We have an antique roll top bath, fireplace and an ikea wooden blind sort of shutters - in our bathroom [boast] . I make my bathroom sound very posh when really it isn't at all - the wallpaper my parents installed about 15 years ago is all peeling off the walls and I'm desperate to redecorate

Well, we went to pick up a second hand baby cage playpen today and while we were out went to the rubbish dump and bought a lampshade . There's a tip in a posh area where people get rid of really nice things so the bin men have a little shop there and sell them. 50p for a nice lampshade that's as good as new . I got Alices lovely art deco childs wardrobe for £5 from the rubbish dump shop too skint

borg did my head in all those pumped up nurses thinking it was ok to section or restrain and medicate anyone who was a bit ill. I trained to talk and negotiate not bully.Final straw was lush gay guy who used to come in when he was down,had shit childhood and was just a drama queen with isshooos.It was my shift but this beeatch was trying to get him discharged cos he was bedblocking in her opinion.She succeeded and he hung himself . I was so upset i gave in my notice.The way i see it,if life is so bad that you'd rather be in a psych hospital then there is defo something wrong.Poor guy.
May go back to nursing tho as my boss is a twat

Well I survived the party and more importantly my bil (boo, hiss ), Olivia is like her Auntie Ledkr and is having a birhday weekend. Her birthday is tomorrow. We had her party today because my sisters bar is having a family Halloween day tomorrow. So we are heading down to the pub tomorrow for her birthday . In my mind the only way to spend a 4 year olds birthday

She got loads of lovely presents and loved the Minnie kitchen, she loved it so much that she just cried when we gave her it, she didn't know what she was getting Sofia also got over her initial arseyness and was a star. She loves playing with her cousins ( the only redeeming factor to bil).

Borg my dream is a roll top bath - we have 3 bathrooms/toilets, I was so scundered when Sofia told her class she had her own bathroom, what she meant was her bedroom was beside the bathroom

3 bathrooms here too,I get very disgruntled when we go away and i have to smell dh;s morning ablations glad the party went well.We are preparing for a haloween party on Monday decorating the house tomorrow and making cakes.

Right girls I need your advice, DF and I can't decide on a first dance song, I want everlong by foo fighters or the remote part by Idlewild - he doesn't know what he wants (bloody fickle men)! I am walking down the aisle to an instrumental of the verve's bitter sweet symphony, any suggestions of what we can both walk back up the aisle together? (nothing cheesey though). Last song will be green day time of your life followed by the bloody loch lomond song (a tradition a scottish weddings, I hate it but he wants it!)

jane anything I choose would probably be far too cheesy , my sister spent ages getting music for her wedding. She ended up choosing the instrumental version of a song from the film An Affair to Remember, she used Clair De Lune for another part of the ceremony.

My first dance was to Crazy Love by Van Morrison, although we had given the DJ a disc to play 3 songs from (this was in the days before downloads and i-pods ) , we were supposed to have 3 songs by Burt Bacharach after the first dance and he pressed the wrong button and the song he played after our first dance was "Breaking up is so very hard to do" - we thought it was hilarious, my mil nearly had a kitten .

wiggles so funny about the dj I remember at our friends wedding a few years ago one of our other friends asked the band if he could sing a song - he sang this years love will never last by david gray . Our dj is under some strict instructions!

Well, clock change hasn't been that big a deal thank god, think I over thought it (as usual). Have just done my domestic goddess turn in the kitchen making little sticks of root veg for B to play with then throw on the floor. Doubt very much he'll eat them though as he still only really likes really pureed stuff of crusts of bread

Well,I'm back to work tomorrow and m slowly getting used to the idea, but am heartbroken at being away from Noah! I've begged dh to let me stay at home and have worked out that we could just afford it, but couldn't have any holidays or treats. He's asked me to give it until Christmas, then see how I feel. I'm sure in a couple of weeks I'll wonder what I was do upset about!
