Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ledkr · 23/10/2011 17:20

AMERICAN dilly is just like that,i just give her potato, cooked veg, cauli cheese, pasta in cheesey sauce, fish etc cubed or squashed then plonked onto the highchair tray then she will take pudding off a spoon or banana mashed or cut into hand sized strips.
She grabs it with her fists and stuffs it in
She wakes up at night if doesnt eat well in the day too.
She also likes bread and butter cut into bite sized pieces.

ledkr · 23/10/2011 17:22

jane i could have made a dress for zoe bear if you'd given me more time.I make all Ellas dolls clothes, they are very fashionable you know.

janedoe25 · 23/10/2011 17:25

Im bidding on this one ledkr www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wedding-dress-outfit-build-a-bear-/270835166353?pt=UK_Dolls_Bears_RL&hash=item3f0f08ac91&autorefresh=true I will just use the dress and shoes though and tie some pink robbon around Zoe bears wasit. Grin

americanexpat · 23/10/2011 17:25

jane - meant to say we can have our own meet-up when I gate-crash your wedding next month. [hgrin]

janedoe25 · 23/10/2011 17:27

american Grin

americanexpat · 23/10/2011 17:48

Can I ask what everyone is getting the babies for Christmas? We got L a bead roller coaster from Ikea but not sure what else he would like. I had a mooch through the half price toys at Tesco but they all looked a bit noisy. Quiet toys are definitely favoured, he makes enough noise on his own. [hgrin]

ledkr · 23/10/2011 18:15

Im going to saisnbos half price toys sale on thursday and will get d whatever is cheap and Ella some lego. I hope. They both have birthdays in Jan too so not a great time to be living on one wage Sad

Ella also pointed out to me that she is "lacking" acessories this morning GrinI think she is getting a bit pre teenie. She has become rather too fond of the ps3 but doesnt like my games rules of only one hr twice a day max.Luckily ds3 told her there is "no point in arguing with Mum" wise words.

Emski76 · 23/10/2011 18:20

American, we've bought that same toy for Noah fir Christmas. He is mostly getting Bens old toys this year though!

reastie · 23/10/2011 18:34

ledkr I'm not sure I had accessories when I was ellas age Confused . Btw I have officially given ella the role of taking a piccie of all the mummies and babies together for us that can't come Envy to see

american I'm the sort of person to buy christmas pressies a year in advance Blush so I have bought some happyland bits for alices bday already Shock . I've picked up a noisy looking toy thing from the tesco half price sale, a squeaking hand puppet and the squeaking eggs that a thread on mn talked about how fab they are (and they are only £6). My Mum will prob end out giving alice the tesco thing so we are only giving her a cheap hand puppet and the eggs Hmm . Oh, and I just remembered I've sewn her a hanging thing to put on her bedroom door with her name on [proud] . My logic is I'll enjoy not spending much money while I can before she becomes demanding Wink . Plus, knowing her she'll spent more time playing with the remnants of wrapping paper than any toys Wink . I'm sure she'll get lots from other people anyway. We'll need to get her a new car seat at some point soon so I'm wondering if we just get her that for christmas Shock . And the monet I don't spend on a pressie for her I can spend on a father christmas/elf outfit for her Grin

jane did you win the bear outfit? It was so sweet Grin

you all continue to be far too nice to me Blush . I'm still feeling a fraud as I haven't had so many 'wish I wasn't here' thoughts - I really don't get them all the time, just when I'm in a really down mood. But I guess the fact I get them at all shows there's something wrong.....I just don't want you all to think I'm going to do something terrible. needto haven't had a chance to msg you yet but hope you are feeling better. xx

Oh - I banged into the gate in my parents' drive this afternoon and have a massive scratch and a dent in the side of my car Shock . Thank goodness DH being nice to me as he was really laid back about it Confused

reastie · 23/10/2011 18:35

Oh and american may I add we have one of those toys (not from ikea, but the same sort of thing) and alice loves playing with it, so good choice Grin

debka · 23/10/2011 19:25

Do you know I think this may have been the longest day ever today. Imy was hanging off my ankles all day whinging, honestly, if anyone half respectable looking had come to the door she'd have been gone. She has just recovered from her poorly tummy and now she's getting my cold so probably feels rotten but still. I had run out of patience by 4 and called in reinforcements (my aunt). My mum was meant to have her today and tomorrow morning but she's laid up with laryngitis. At least DH will be back tomorrow.

OK moan over!

reastie Hope DH is looking after you tonight. BTW how is A sleeping now?

I like that beady thing expat, I might have to take another trip to IKEA for one of them. Haven't really thought about presents for the girls yet, I'd like to get Imy a scooter I think, don't know about S, maybe I'll filch some of your ideas!

Sooo looking forward to Friday, I'm planning my outfit already Grin

BTW I agree re Gary Barlow, thought he was rude and arrogant last night. You can keep him 40weeks!!

WeAreBorg · 23/10/2011 19:29

reastie I haven't seen your thread but hope you don't mind if I have a look, bless ledkr for tracking you down when you were trying to hide from us. Oh dear to the dent, that kind of thing usually has me screaming obscenities at gates, bollards, etc.

ledkr do you have survellience (sp?) or something, I like that you even manage to find ponyo on her zombie thread. Must have a look at that one too, thanks for the FX tip but staying with my parents and they just have normal telly. Rubbish. OOh could get DH to record series though.

american don't know what to get him yet, are they too young for little rocking horse things? I am desperate to buy him lego but obviously have a while to wait for that, I really want one of those kitchens too. And a big train set. Okay I suspect poor Nate might not actually get anything he wants, just stuff I want.....

jane ooh, sounds lovely. I am sooo excited for you, can't wait to see your photos. Did you say where you were going for honeymoon (sorry not blessed with wiggles memory) A northern gatecrash meetup sounds good, I'll wear a hat I promise. Or one of my "interesting" toupees.

40 yuk, glad you are feeling better. I haven't puked since I was 12 fact fans Shock

ponyo thanks for asking, N is just the same. Sleeps in cot until about 1030 or so then in with us, spreads out in the middle and me and DH cling on to the sides of the bed. He wakes quite a bit but very easy to settle with a cuddle or boob. I've given up on the sleeping through idea completely now - anyone else got a baby that still has NEVER slept through or is it just me and snotface?

emski your boys are incredibly handsome. You are annoyingly tanned and beautiful Envy

WeAreBorg · 23/10/2011 19:31

deb glad Imy has got a bit better, sorry she is being such a clingon.

Would also like to say that my mummy has cooked me tea, yum yum, off to socialise with the parents

ILovePonyo · 23/10/2011 19:43

What a cute outfit jane hope you 'win' it.

american think I will be heading to sainsbos half price sale and we're going to ikea this week so I'll have a look there, I have said we are only buying A 3 or 4 presents as I know she'll get spolied from everyone else, but lets see if I stick to that Hmm

reastie I was looking through a john lewis catalogue today and they have such cute santa/reindeer/elf outfits for babies, they are £19.50 though so think I'll be looking in Asda too! I'm hoping if I leave it late enough in Dec they might be reduced

Borg oh to N's sleeping, oh dear. (and a little Grin at you and dp clinging to the sides of the bed whilst N snoozes away in the middle) A has slept through but maybe wiggles can tell you some Olivia stories that will make you feel better Wink

Well the roast was a fail, she chewed on some carrot for a bit, then chucked everything else on the floor Hmm I pureed some but she was having none of it, ah well.

reastie · 23/10/2011 19:49

ponyo I saw those outfits in the JL catalogue and am desperate for them, but alas will wait for the tesco outfits to come instore. I love how in that catalogue 1/2 of the babies look really miserable and annoyed at being dressed in christmas outfits Grin

borg you made me Grin and chuckle out loud at your post. Alice gets everything that I like too. I've always really wanted one of those wooden victorian style rocking horses - I'm hoping we'll get one for alice eventually. ledkr maybe your pils have one I can have since they do like the old fashioned stuff

deb hope imy feels better, actually, I hope you feel better now???

debka · 23/10/2011 19:54

reastie not 100% and tired after a bad night's sleep. And missing DH Shock. Thanks for asking though :)

Emski76 · 23/10/2011 20:08

Ah Borg ,thanks for the nice photo comments, (preening myself in the mirror as we speak!) hopefully Nate will start enjoying his own bed soon! I too am laughing at the image of you and dh clinging to the outside of the bed whie Nate I spread out like a starfish in the middle! Noah doesn't sleep well with me anymore, if I touch him while he's trying to sleep he grabs my hand and moves it away!

I too have a habit of buying pressies I want people to have rather than what they might actually like!

Deb, poor you with the limpet Imy, they are so annoying when their like that aren't they? Glad your aunt was able to relieve you a bit.

Ledkr, sounds like E is good with accessories already! I, on the other hand, am crap. Wish I was coming Friday so she could teach me a thing or two!

Jane, the outfit is adorable. Have you won it? Not long now.........

Noah starts nursery tomorrow!! I'm back at work next week so dh and I will actually have some time to ourselves! I'm feeling very shaky about it, but am sure it will all be fine.

P.S. I love arrogant Gary Barlow, much better than fat, bad dancing Gary Barlow!

Am back on the diet wagon tomorrow, was meant to be skinny by next week when I return to work.....somehow I don't think that's going to happen!

wigglesrock · 23/10/2011 20:19

Evening all,

reastie sorry you had such a bad weekend, you need to see the GP pronto, I know its hard but that first step will make the world of difference. PS I've cried on millions of GPs - meh its part of the job Grin

Borg Ns sleeping sounds very like Annas, she'll go down for the night no bother, sometimes wake at around 10ish, go back to her cot but then wake again and in to bed with us. She wakes for bottles at night - she's so hungry at night but I can't get it to translate into food during the day, [shrugs], she's yummy, cuddly and we'll get there in the end Grin

Anna is getting a reindeer/moose type rocker thing from Ikea from Santa and some books and the Tomy eggs. My aunt has bought her a ride along (half price in Tescos) and my parents have got her a Fisher Price play farm.

debka scooters are a big thing with S & O, Sofia got her first one when she was about 2.6 loved it.

Olivia loves kitchens, she is getting one for her birthday, I really wanted to get her a more expensive one this year (because they will all play with it) , but she wants a plastic Minnie one Grin and its her present so Minnie it is! My friend has been having some problems with her sons speech and general development and I've been going with her to some appointments and his Speech therapist told her that one of the best presents you can get your child from a very early age is a teaset, its obviously very difficult to play silently with one so it can really encourage speech. Olivia has always loved teasets and has about 5 - nuff said Grin

wigglesrock · 23/10/2011 20:24

emski Noah will be great tomorrow, meant to say your blondie bears are gorgeous and you're alright as well Grin I go back on 7 November [eek]

Oh and for all you NKOTB fans, my nanas family all emigrated to Boston when she was 17 (she stayed, as she was getting married Shock), her sister lived next door to Joey McIntyre Grin

Have put some photos of you know whos up

Trying to console myself with biscuits as Spooks is ending tonight Sad

Emski76 · 23/10/2011 20:36

Wiggles, A is getting so big! I think she's almost as big as Noah!
Am very jealous of your nans sister living next door to Joey. When I met them, I hugged Joey and was so excited that I just said rudey words in his ear! Not sure he was too impressed with the gutter mouthed Bristolian!

ILovePonyo · 23/10/2011 20:41

Ooh wiggles we go back to work on the same day. Love the pics, she is getting big isn't she?! Like the proud look Olivia is giving her on the sofa, aww.

reastie I showed the grumpy baby in the jl catalogue to dp, very funny!

emski please tell what you said to Joey nkotb, I am Shock at the thought Grin

Emski76 · 23/10/2011 20:57

It was lots of f*s, and a few oh my gods! I tried so hard to be cool, I don't think the several glasses of wine that we were plied with before meeting them helped!

WeAreBorg · 23/10/2011 21:05

reastie I've looked at your thread, and am not as articulate as those nice ladies but agree agree, see the GP, you really can't lose anything. Pick a nice sympathetic one though. Yes I really want one of those victorian rocking horses but DH is terrified of them Hmm so we'd probably have to get a more cuddly one. Grin at the moody JL babies, I thought that too!

I just have a boring set of Christmas pyjama type things for N, am I going to regret not dressing him up as an elf? Yes I would, will persuade mum & dad to get him a little outfit, hee hee. There are 12 days of Christmas, he does need them after all...

NKOTB? I didn't like them or TT as a youth weirdo

wiggles yes I'm a bit [shrug] now at the sleep thing. emski he wants to be in bed, he wants a cuddle every now and then, but he doesn't want to be cuddled the rest of the time Confused hence the bed clinging!

wiggles YKW is sooo cute, she is massive though, compared to my titch.

ponyo shame she didn't like the roast, they are not consistent though are they? She'll prob scoff the leftovers if you give her them tomorrow

WeAreBorg · 23/10/2011 21:08

Also Grin at wiggles chatting emski up. Sorry ems , pretty as you are, my heart still belongs to the lovely severus mizk

No telly, forgot my books, DH not here, N in bed. Why I might actually venture off this thread and peruse the rest of MN, any good threads at the mo?

ILovePonyo · 23/10/2011 21:15

Haha emski bet he loved it really Grin

Borg leftovers are now pureed to mush so she'd better bloody like it Grin Your parents sounds like my mums, she has crap telly and the computer is upstairs so I always feel like a sulky teen when I am hiding away mn-ing. I suggest you head over to AIBU and start some trouble Grin

Looking forward to seeing some pics of all the babies dressed as snowflakes and elves for xmas Grin

Oh and although I have had a v nice day today pottering about with A and dp, can I just moan that my other friend (with the kittens) let me down so I didn't end up going over Hmm
