Congratulations scones Welcome to your DD2. She got scared that you would not have your HB if she was staying in. xxx

StoneBaby · 04/11/2011 18:44

I took DS to the GP today as once again he had a bad cough - so back on AB and ventolin. Plus I wanted to have his feet checked as he has a tendancy to walk with his right foot inward. It is fine and apparently quite common, we just need to keep an eye on it in case it get worse but it should get sorted by itself.

Bearcrumble · 04/11/2011 20:46

Congratulations Scones!!

SB Hope DS feels better soon. Most people I talk to regularly know I'm pregnant but I haven't announced anything on facebook.

Yes, we've put our house on the market and are househunting. Looking locally and also round Maidstone in Kent. I don't think we are going to go for that massive one, lovely as it, because it's in such a dodgy area.

StoneBaby · 04/11/2011 21:02

Nice to hear from you bc I hope you'll find the house you want soon. How do you feel?

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 05/11/2011 14:55

Congratulations scones.

StoneBaby · 05/11/2011 21:19

Where is everybody today?

Fx that none of our LO are going to be awaken by the fireworks. I knowDS is an heavy sleeper but I still worry the bangs willwake him up in a fright.

I've been shopping (Waitrose) with DS today! First time since he was born that I was child-free in the supermarket, quite odd but so much quicker too. DH has man flu but volontered to stay home with him Grin

BabyGiraffes · 06/11/2011 13:24

For anyone who is as nosy as me, there is a picture of scones' new dd on fb as a wall picture on her dh's page Grin. Very cute although her dd1 doesn't look quite so thrilled yet... Smile

StoneBaby · 06/11/2011 18:47

BG lovely pics

mous where are you moving too? (sorry I'm nosy)

Today was a nap-free day so as a result DS went to bed at 5.35pm Shock fx he won't wake up too early tomorrow...

PenguinArmy · 06/11/2011 22:15

Have been reading, just haven't had much too add, that's probably because I still have the help DM here :)

BigBlueBear · 07/11/2011 11:03

Congrats scones!

BabyGiraffes · 07/11/2011 17:16

Here is my walking girl; one picture with her in full stride and the other with a look of contempt on her face for being put in the backpack carrier Grin

StoneBaby · 07/11/2011 19:02

Hiya PA and BBB

BG nice pics, she seems so determined to walk!

PenguinArmy · 07/11/2011 19:20

oh I want a walking holiday

StoneBaby · 07/11/2011 21:29

PA I'm sure you can (without the tantrums Grin ) Maybe BG can give you the address of where she's staying.

So since last week, I have applied for a new job, we've decided to change DS nursery, what's going to come next???

BabyGiraffes · 07/11/2011 21:58

PA Grin But you went on a road trip - I've never done that!! Grin
How about starting with a walking day/weekend? Your dd can go into a backpack thing and your ds in a sling Smile

SB sounds like you are on a roll... Smile

BBB It sounds like your sahm/freelance is just as busy as your previous job but without the commuting?

We are home and dd2 felt a little rejected today when her papa went to work and her darling sister to school. She spent some time moping around the house but then realised she could play without being bossed around Wink.

I realised she's no longer a baby (even though we still call her the baby) when she played marbles with dd1 for ages and made no attempt to put them in her mouth, ears or nose!

BigBlueBear · 08/11/2011 09:23

Yes, still as busy :(

I'm starting to regret my decision to become DD1 school's PTA secretary. The new committee is entirely made up of reception parents, and we have been given no support or handover from the old committee and last night were thrown into running the meeting, while the old guard ran amok. Brutal. And now I have ten pages of notes to write up as the minutes.

Ah well, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it!

DD2 had an enormous meltdown last night when I got her home after nursery. She literally screamed from 5:30pm until she went to bed just before 7pm. I have no idea what was wrong, but she wouldn't let me pick her up and everything I did was clearly wrong in her eyes. Toddlers, eh?

SconesForTea · 08/11/2011 15:03

Hi everyone! Yay I'm on MN this feels more normal Grin It's been utter chaos since Friday morning with most of my family pitching up during the weekend (very very welcome, I might add, as they helped no end) and several visitors too, then yesterday DH and I were on our own with our girls for the first time and had three appointments of various sorts so it was a tiring and trying day. We missed our army of helpers that's for sure. Now DH has had to pop into work for a couple of hours, DD1 is at her GPs and DD2 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) is sleeping and.... here I am. Feeling pretty ok actually Smile

I haven't posted any pics on FB yet because I can't from my camera to this laptop Hmm but I will get round to it...

DD1 has taken her arrival pretty well, she seems interested but not over-interested, and has had lots of attention from all our visitors so has had no need to feel jealous.

I have read the thread but I have a bad case of babybrain and literally can't remember at thing anyone has posted - sorry Blush

I wonder how long I'll have before she wakes up...

PenguinArmy · 08/11/2011 15:11

does that mean yours will sleep when put down then scones if so Envy

glad you're feeling normal for a while :)

took DD to an amazing park today. It was one my mum spotted in the paper and hadn't come up when I did a google search. She wore her dinosaur puddle suit for the first as well Grin That combined with a steep slide and the rain meant it took her breath away but only for a second before declaring 'again'.

She is now def. on one naps. The mornings when she woke early and was therefore put down she didn't sleep in the afternoon. Something is still happening with her as she wakes up tired but my DM has been taking her for a walk to shops in the morning for me though and we've been getting through to nap and bed time without too much stress and lots of going out.

Tested her for egg, same bowel reaction.

like scones I've forgotten what everyone wrote Blush so it's all about DD

BigBlueBear · 08/11/2011 16:10
StoneBaby · 08/11/2011 18:50

Bugger... I'm due to write my supporting letter (for the job I'm applying for) and forgot the application at work Angry (but I started the letter this morning while at work Blush so it's not all failure). I'll carry on tomorrow morning like this DH can check it tomorrow night.

Sorry very me-me-me

scones well done on the sleep, fx it lasts.

PA DS also tried the slide and puddlesuit - I'm not sure he liked it.

I'm well impressed how well you seem to cope with your 2s. Have a Wine (or Brew ) and Biscuit

BBB that's a big harsh from the leaving committee to not have give you some guidelines. I hope it'll improve with the next meeting.

PenguinArmy · 08/11/2011 21:58

bethy did DS2 ever get into books?

at least you're working on it SB

StoneBaby · 09/11/2011 10:07

I've been signed off work due to extremely low blood pressure.

bethy I'm so impressed with your DS2 potty/ toilets abilities. Envy DS says when he's having/about to have a poo, but I cannot get him to sit on the potty (or even toilets). I wonder if chocolate buttons would help Hmm ? Knowing him, he'll want to eat the full packet...

PenguinArmy · 09/11/2011 10:49

I've been cheating still have help here. Ask me how I'm coping next week Grin

I have a appointment through for the physio, the letter says there will be an examination which I'm a bit eek about. Any news on yours beth

DD has just dumped 6 books next to me so I better go

InmaculadaConcepcion · 09/11/2011 14:26

Hello!

Great to hear from you Scones! You come across as wonderfully perky, lovely.

SB sorry to hear about DS' chest situations and your blood pressure. Not to mention the job application annoyance. Good luck with it!

Blimey BBB, that committee meeting sounds full on....eek!

Happy house-hunting, Bc. How are you feeling?

Love the piccies, BG!!

Sorry you haven't got to the - ahem - bottom of your DD's bowel situation, PA. How's your DS doing?

I've been a bit quiet these last few days because my own DM has been here, which has been great. I also got visited on Monday by both my Godmothers, which was also fun. One brought her dog along, which unnerved DD a bit. It wasn't a big dog, but still must have seemed rather intimidating to my titchy DD. Other than that, she lapped up the attention and got some nice presents (DD, not the dog).

DD's cold looked like it had just about gone after five days and WHAM! she's just come down with another one. Absolutely streaming again today. She's also got an eye infection. I took her to the docs this morning, although I wasn't hugely worried about it. The doc said it was almost certainly viral and not to worry about doing anything unless DD's eye gets thoroughly glued together after sleep etc. That's when it will have turned bacterial and she's given me a prescription for some drops to put in if that happens. Otherwise, she said it isn't worth the fight trying to administer the drops. Which suits me! DD isn't especially bothered by it, so that's something.
I think I'll have to buy shares in Karvol at this rate.
Luckily, the nights have been okay though. With the help of a friend's humidifier and (when she needed it for her DD) pans of hot water. I've just ordered a humidifier of my own.

BBB, DD had an ongoing tantrum on Sunday afternoon. With hindsight, we realised she must have been hungry. She'd had a snack and eaten a reasonable breakfast and lunch, but I guess that wasn't enough. The way she wolfed down all of her main course and pudding (plus seconds of each) at supper and was full of the joys of - erm - Autumn again after that was what gave us the clue to the problem.

PenguinArmy · 09/11/2011 14:40

I think we're getting there IC it's just going to take a while to test a few things as I'm leaving a week inbetween. Really should leave longer Blush

DS seems to growing fast and isn't really a sleeper yet (and needs to in contact with someone to do so) but I'm still hopeful.

Thats bad luck with DDs illness. DS had a gunky eye and they said to wait two weeks. I was washing it with BM anyway and on the 14th day it just went suddenly.
