Fizzogg - how old is B? I know he's 4 or so days younger than I, and I can't remember if he is 14 or 15 weeks Blush I has been a it off sorts the past few days and have put it down to the 16 week growth spurt. I think he's 16 weeks on Weds. He has wanted feeding a lot today, is having only micro naps and woke up twice last night. Maybe B is on his way to the growth spurt as well?

I have no idea about the FB page, which is why I didn't volunteer to set it up. If you need to add friends to create it, send me a private message on here and I'll give you my name, also let me know what the name of the group is and I'll search for it on FB.

Cyclebump · 15/08/2011 17:34

H is bouncing up a storm in his doorway bouncer.

Last night was horrendous, I join all of those having a Wine to recover. H had a two-hour nap this afternoon and is now back in the bouncer after a poo emergency.

Poor you Chilli, it's so frustrating when they scream like that with no consolation. Talking of which, there he goes again...

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 15/08/2011 17:37

caramel we have that highchair! It is great because the tray flips back and they can sit right up to the table to eat a meal with the rest of the family.
I also recommend avoiding those huge padded things. Some friends have them, and they are just impossible to clean.

Jo well done on the carrot Grin It is so cute when they have food all over their faces.

T is looking increasingly interested in food, he's 20 weeks today. He can sit up pretty well so in many ways I think he could be ready for food, but we are going to wait and do BLW with a bit of spoon help with yoghurts etc in another month or so.

We have had to buy T a new bed. He rolled over in his hammock, god knows how because it isn't supposed to be possible but there we are. We want him in with us still, but our room is too small for the big cot, so we've bought a spacesaver from Kiddicare which will last for about a year. It arrives tomorrow, I'm v.excited and may have used the opportunity to buy him a few lovely bedding bits Blush
So last night he slept in with me and DH went in the spare room, we will do the same tonight. This afternoon he had a 3 hour nap on my bed - on his tummy. I think I might try him on his tummy for nights to see if he sleeps better, although last night he went 10.45-7.45 so he isn't doing too badly anyway.

DairyBeetle · 15/08/2011 17:51

ILike I've PM'd you re. the Facebook group. I was trying to make one called "MN Babies April 2011"

Jo The carrot covered boy sounds very cute!

BuckminsterFullerene · 15/08/2011 18:01

re highchairs, we've got this booster seat. I did think about the Ikea one, but we haven't got room for anything that doesn't fold away. And this one should be good when we do the tour of the parents (4 sets, all divorced!) at xmas.

It's also really easy to clean and comes right up to the table. I like it, and F seems to like it already too!

I've just hopped onto the actual computer at the prospect of FB group/page. Quite excited! Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 15/08/2011 18:30

B is 16 weeks on Saturday so growth spurt may be right. He is all smiles and giggles now dh is home AngryEnvy

Ready fir bed now!

MrsWajs · 15/08/2011 18:59

Not sure about settin up the page Fizz/Dairy although I'm not adverse to being added as a friend if you want to get it started that way :)

R doesn't seem to be affected by the 16 week mark so far!! Friday night she slept 9.30-8am and last night 10-7am so am dreading any sleep regression/hunger waking!!

Got last lot of jabs tomorrow arvo so will expect grumpy baby afterwards!

JoEW excellent work burning the carrot :) glad it was a success though.

Another weaning question for those in the know, do you need to sterilise spoons/pots etc or can you just wash them as normal?

DairyBeetle · 15/08/2011 20:12

Facebook group is group a go! Grin

MN Babies April 2011 at the moment it's a closed group (shows up when searched for and people can see who is a member) but if people want I can change it to 'secret' once we're all added.

GsyGacheFiend · 15/08/2011 20:20

FB Group sounds like a good idea, let us know how to join.

MrsWajs, I was told to sterilise food utensils until age 1 when DS was weaned a couple of years ago. TBH I can't remember what the HV said at P's 12 week check when she did the weaning talk this time around. The leaflet I was given identical to the last, I would check but it's long-gone in the recycling Blush.

BuckminsterFullerene · 15/08/2011 20:22

Woop! I'm looking for it now!

And yep, I'm voting for changing it to 'secret' later

Requested to join...

GlaikitFizzog · 15/08/2011 20:29

request sent! How weird to see "real names"!! :o

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 15/08/2011 20:30

Gay - what does your new name mean?

I wouldn't bother sterilising food pots and spoons, however I would make sure they are very clean.

GsyGacheFiend · 15/08/2011 21:22

Ooh, on FB now very exciting Grin

ILTMI This link should help explain my new name.

GlaikitFizzog · 15/08/2011 21:33

Oooh! That sounds yummy Liv! GSY is short for guernsey?

I too am very excited about the FB group! I used to get excited about nights out and spangly shoes! Whats happened to me?:o

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 15/08/2011 21:39

God I am so incompetent at facebook. I hardly ever use it and have no idea how to do anything on there. I may post a photo of T eventually Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 15/08/2011 21:43

I've started an album, so you should just be able to add a photo to it Ali. Click on the album and there is an "Add Photo" button in the top right corner.

chillikat · 15/08/2011 22:14

Request sent from here too - tomorrow I'll be playing who's who :o

Starshaped · 15/08/2011 22:16

Only just logged on today - lots to catch up on! Am shattered tonight though, so will read through everything tomorrow.

I've sent an FB request though!

MrsWajs · 15/08/2011 22:37

Think I've sent a request but not sure if its worked or not??

Sassy20 · 15/08/2011 23:36

Request sent. I too am really excited to see all the real names and pics of people! Grin

AussieMum2Be · 16/08/2011 04:48

I'm on our FB group, so exciting !! Grin

Well I'm doing my morning pump, I'm very close to giving up, pumping means I really can't get out and do things with my day, I pump for 45mins, 1 hour later, feed for 45 mins and then hour after that pump again it's so exhausting, I'm taking mothers milk and fenugreek and I'm still only getting about 13oz a day which I still need to top up another 6/8oz of formula, she never even seems hungry but will always take the top up if offered, I wish I could just BF, but gotta get that weight up !!

Anyhoo, DI's cot arrived ! So excited, it's a Tutti Bambini Louis sleigh cot and looks gorgeous !! but just discovered once built won't get through the doors so DP won't build in our room to only have to undo and rebuild when DI goes into her own room, but I don't want DI in her own room yet Sad I'll miss her way to much, so perhaps I'll use the Moses for a little bit longer till she definitely wont fit Wink (she's long so don't think it will be much longer) what age is it not good to have a baby still in the room with you, don't want her dependent on us for bedtime, but I love seeing her next to me in the mornings.

For those with high chairs, should our babies be sitting upright unaided by now, DI doesn't yet, she still looks neckless if held upright but did have her head up during tummy time the other day, which I was very excited to see ! And if up against me has her head up looking round but I think she would be to floppy in a high chair, she looks uncomfortable if I have her propped up on sofa (for pics in pretty dresses !)

Ecuse only saw your PM late last night, will email ya for get together, sorry don't use MN online much anymore & iphone app doesn't show PM's, can't wait tho ! Hopefully on a sunny day ! I think we are due more rain !

See ya all on FB !! Im so overly excited !! How sad am I Blush

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 16/08/2011 07:32

Aussie about 6 months for sitting up, so it's a bit soon for most of them! T will sit if propped a bit, but he is huge, almost 19lbs. We haven't tried him in the highchair yet, I think he would flop sideways Grin

kittycatcat · 16/08/2011 08:02

S took all his naps in his own room yest, in the Moses basket in the cot. And then spent his first night there. Took me a minute to work out where he was when he woke for his feed. Next step is the cot itself, but one step at a time. Seems too soon for me but he is ready for the cot size wiseSad

JoEW · 16/08/2011 08:59

I've sent a request too! Also very excited.

My name will be SUCH a surprise, given how creative and clever my MN user name is.

MrsWajs · 16/08/2011 10:31

Hmmmph my facebook page is being stupid and won't let me request to join, can someone PM me for my name and invite me???? I wanna get on it!!

Had another good night again 9.30-7.25 although she was awake for a while before I fed her, put her back down and she chatted and played, then slept for about 20 minutes and woke up again but was happy in there til 9.45 :)

Aussie I feel your expressing pain, the main reason I gave up at 6 weeks was that I was pumping all bloody day and only getting about 5ozs to show for it!! Your doing really well though! :) Wish I'd known then the things I know now about drugs I could have taken and cluster pumping to mimic babies routine etc. Hey ho.

Kitty Yay for S napping/sleeping in the cot! DP has mentioned a few times about R going into her cot too but the problem we have is that she shares a room with DSS so if she were to wake at 5am when he was staying the whole house would probably be up then!! Plus there is no seat in there for me to feed her, so would need to bring her through to our room to feed and then back again to her room to put her back down - somehow don't think she'd resettle all that well!! Think we'll wait another month and see if we have a sleep regression and if not we'll just go for it
