Well, we are all very happy here this morning! WE HAVE SLEPT! And all we had to do was make sure OH and LG slept off the premises. They went over to the annex and slept there. Everyone got a good night's sleep. So we will be sleeping apart for a while, but this morning I was smiling, OH was smiling, LG was smiling - all very good. Would seem he really doesn't need the milk in the night, it's just because I happen to be there. OH wants me to ring the slaughterman for the dozen nearly-mature cockerels that live just outside the annex window though. They were for the freezer anyway, they're just going to end up there a month early.
Lights I know what you mean about trashing the place. LG wants to be up on the sofa with me as then he can reach the table of forbidden items, like the TV remote, pens, etc. He also likes the fireplace, and we have a woodburning stove complete with decorative ash, soot and a mucky poker.
LG has also decided that he is ready to tackle the stairs, so the stairgate will be coming out later on today.
LG is also starting to make sounds with meaning (I couldn't call it talking yet.) He says dadadadaDADADADADAAAA! when OH gets in from work, he said 'woof' to Cluck's dog, and he says aw-nononononononononooooo when you do things like try to wipe his constantly snotty nose. But the funniest is that when he chucks something off his high chair the nanny says 'Oh dear' and then picks it up. Now, whenever he drops something he looks over the edge at it and solemny says 'ugh dir!'
He does it all the time - it's hysterical.
about the early potty training. EC is fine if you want to do it, but my mother and MIL put a lot of pressure on me and OH to get TT out of nappies early, constantly going on about how all their children were dry by 15months. As has been pointed out though, you'd want to get one child out of nappies if you were washing enough nappies for 3 kids born in quick succession and they were all in terries.
