Liking maternity leave too much? Can't be arsed to go back to your old job? Why not get made redundant, set up a company, have another baybee or even fall off a horse? Anything to spend more time with our little darlings! And it's so naice here - pass the gin!

Muser · 10/08/2011 21:02

I am jealous of ESH meets.

MadameBoo · 10/08/2011 21:13

How's about we do somewhere like Oxford one day? how would that be for everyone?

FannyPriceless · 10/08/2011 21:18

I would do Oxford.

MadameBoo · 10/08/2011 21:21

Hello lovely Fanny. I like Oxford. We could come on the train too. Muse could you do Oxford?

You have the best name ever. I might go and fawn all over you on that horrid bum lick thread in chat now...

maswera · 10/08/2011 21:29

Just sneaking in to say I had a fab time too today. Your girls are just gorgeous - no idea how I will decide which one is to marry minimas Grin. Yay for more ESHmeets I say

rocketleaf · 10/08/2011 21:32

:o mas leave it up to him to decide if he wants to be a toy boy or a sugar daddy Wink

Backinthebox · 10/08/2011 21:49

I could get to Oxford.

Muser · 10/08/2011 21:51

Oxford is doable. Means getting to Paddington which is totally the wrong end of London and would require tube. But that's why I have a sling.

FannyPriceless · 10/08/2011 21:51

Hello masweewee.Smile

MadameBumlick Shock I have never had a name fan before. Does that make you a Fannyfan?Wink

MadameBoo · 10/08/2011 22:25

Darling, I am an ESH. Of course I am a Fannyfan Wink

Feel free to make an alternative suggestion Muse if Oxford not so easy?

rocketleaf · 10/08/2011 22:42

So when did you stop washing new clothes for your ESHspring before putting them on? (if you ever did) I am getting too lazy/impatient to do it and I don't think Sprout has sensitive skin.

Muser · 10/08/2011 22:43

Oxford works. And it needs to be somewhere doable for everyone anyway.

Muser · 10/08/2011 22:43

When she turned up rocket, there was just too much to do!

rollerbaby · 11/08/2011 08:12

Silver very pleased for toof. I would like to know where ours are. We had 3 hours of crying, attempted calpol doses, subsequent vomiting, screaming and more milk and finally sleep around 2am. I would like for last night to not happen again.

Oxford is a possible if we can find a day that works!

CurlyCasper · 11/08/2011 08:42

Oxford good for me if I can tie it in with a stay at the in-laws.

I haven't washed new clothes since pre-birth. CBA.

AlpinePony · 11/08/2011 08:45

Well if it's Oxford, reggie & silver don't have much of an excuse. Envy

Does anyone else have this ishoo with Calpol? Twice now, we seem to have "passed" the point of exhaustion where upon a double dose had no effect, just kept him in zombie/evieeeel-baybee mode for a subsequent 4 hours. [TeethRattling]

I am soooo fecked off with work right now. I know, I know. My manager - who should actually have been on holiday this week - but such is the way of our wanky operation that people don't take holiday - moaned at me on Tuesday saying that "normally" Hmm - people give him 2-3 months notice that they intend to start looking for a new job. Oh suck it up sweetie. I smiled and reminded him that I wished to take 2 weeks hol in September and expected to by out mid-late september. I'm supposed to go in to the office today but it's such a hateful place. However, I'm going in because my lovely Polish pal has brought me marks & spencers gifts.

Is it just me who thinks that sprocket has minimoo hair?

AlpinePony · 11/08/2011 08:45

I don't wash clothes either - but then I never ironed them pre-birth either - would I have done so if I'd had any leave? I doubt it.

Cosmosis · 11/08/2011 08:52

I stopped washing clothes when new at about 4 weeks when I realised it was a waste of time. Most of arties clothes never see an iron, he has 2 shirts and 1 pair or trousers that are ?for best? and therefore do see an iron.

Oxford potentially do-able, Birmingham would be better. Weekend a necessity though.

SilverSky · 11/08/2011 09:19

Oxford? Oxford? Never heard of the place. Sounds forrin. Wink

As of today I'm not washing any new clothes then. Hopefully the eczema won't get any worse.

Pissing down here. Need to go and do hoss and wanted to do enroute to something else but will now do after as we need to stay clean and dry besides hoss already wet and it is SUMMER! So will not feel cold. Factoid número 59 of horse ownership non?

moo teething is rotten isn't it. The toof is cutting thru and is just visible. To add to the drama we have rivers of snot. MB not me. Actually that's a lie. We both have snotty chops today. We truly are a beautiful pair. Model agency scouts form a queue! Wink

The sleeping seems to be ok, the Rotten nappies are another story altogether. Really hideous and we are going thru them at such a rate. We are also VERY screechy. It's ear piercing.

okie did MiniC get eczema in his groin at all?

Lighttaperstandback · 11/08/2011 09:19

Ironing baby clothes???? You is having a laugh isn't it??? They puke/poo on them within seconds of putting 'em on anyways.

Practically all of Squib's clothes were hand me downs from friends, so they got washed as had been in storage for some time. Don't think I ever washed any new stuff we were given. He seems to have survived the abuse. Annoyingly, the hand me downs appear to be running out, which means I'm actually having ot buy my child clothing. Eurgh.

okiecokie · 11/08/2011 09:37

Oxford is potentially do-able depending on the day of the week.

Silv mainly creases behind knees, ankles, wrists, arms, all over face and torso but thankfully not groin. I will PM you now.

I have found some girls clothes need ironing to look pretty (I leave out for the cleaner to do) but I never ask the cleaner to iron boys stuff. I washed new clothes until about 3 months old first time round, only pre birth second time round.

Loooopy · 11/08/2011 10:17

ok, must ask, what are ESH, PESH, BESH and CRESH??

MadameBoo · 11/08/2011 10:41

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1048367-ESH -PESH-BESH

CluckyKate · 11/08/2011 13:06

Oxford works for me too Grin

Your boss is being and arse Alps & he knows it - who the fuck gives notice that they're planning on looking for a new job eh? Idiot!

The only item of kids clothing that has ever seen an iron is a very cute pleated skirt - looks utterly rubbish un-ironed. Won't be buying anything pleated ever again tho.
