sorry Calico Sad how gutting for you.

Like dinky says though, hopefully there's something even better out there for you.

Brew and Biscuit for today's disappointment though, and have a Wine when the kids go down

Calico1 · 08/11/2011 12:43

Thanks guys...I will feel better after I have eaten this consolation packet of chocolate biscuits I have in my hand.
Actually no, I'll just feel fat and gutted then

dinkystinky · 09/11/2011 10:57

Hope you're feeling abit better about life today Calico and managed to avoid the consolation biscuits (I agree that consolation celery just wouldnt hit the spot!)

sorry calico Sad it was because you were too good Grin

Morning all - just realised this morning that Danny is the age that DS1 was when Danny was born. Made me all nostalgic and a little tearful... and v broody... that is until Danny and DS1 started scrapping...

when Luke was 21 mths I thought the same, had a newborn, 21 mth old twins & a just 5 year old. Then I felt thankful that I was going to be in that very hard place again Wink

SummerRain · 10/11/2011 14:44

A had his hair cut ShockSadShock

We're both a bit traumatised.... no more golden, curly, fluffy, mad, long hair Sad

He looks like a proper little boy, not my fluffy mad monster anymore (dp assures me this is a good thing but I remain unconvinced)

SummerRain · 10/11/2011 14:49

dinky, we passed that milestone twice with A, dd was 18 months old when she became a big sister and ds1 was 2.5.

tbh, with A I'm just relieved to be finally coming out the other end of nappies, breastfeeding and all the other baby related hassle. My elder two are getting so grown up I can't imagine introducing another baby into the mix, and I don't think I'd want to.

dinkystinky · 10/11/2011 17:36

Sounds like your family is complete then SummerRain and Oooggs Wink Sorry to hear A doesnt have his golden fluffy curly mad hair any more SR - bet he still looks cute as a button though.

Where is everyone?

V excited as have booked to take DS1 and Danny to go see Santa in December - hope Danny gets it this year (he was pretending to be santa with a sleigh of toys with a huge cardboard box this morning so hopefully he does get it) as the past 2 years he's been more interested in eating a satsuma i'd cunningly taken along as a danny distraction device...

SR DS got his hair cut on Wednesday....by another boy at school Shock
His cute little haircut now has a couple of bald patches on one side. When I mentioned this to the teacher the next morning she said she knew nothing about it and asked if I thought he had done it himself....possible - but he is adamant that another boy did it.

Dinky I'm sure he'll love it. I queued up for about an hour with DS at Santa's grotto only for him to decide when it was his turn that he didn't want to go in and insisted that I went in and got his present for him Hmm

Just asked Lilian to go and wash her messy hands in the bathroom - she said 'no mummy I have washed them in my mouth!' Lucky it was only soup on them!

SummerRain · 11/11/2011 16:25

Oh no Calico Shock They can be such lunatics at that age Grin Is it fixable or will you have to wait for it to grow out?

dinky, A seems to be really grasping Santa this year. He saw a picture of Santa last week and got really excited shouting Ho Ho Ho and we've had lots of Santa games since so it'll be really lovely this year having 3 kids who all still believe and all 'get' the magic. (considering how young they figure it all out these days this might be the only year we can say that Sad)

Calico1 · 12/11/2011 17:59

SR I tried to do a 'comb over' to hide the worst bit but it looked even more ridiculous so I have cut his hair really short all over so that it is less obvious. He doesn't seem to care so it doesn't really matter.....

Calico1 · 12/11/2011 18:02

Has anyone bought Hotwheels track before for their DS's? DS was playing with some at a friends house and loved it so was thinking about buying him some for Christmas but it is so blimmin' expensive so such a small amount of plastic track. Any thoughts?

MOSagain · 12/11/2011 19:10

calico sorry about the job Sad and Shock about the hair!
I was looking at hotweels a few days ago as there was an ad on tv and thought H would love that. Not sure if they are a bit young (and destructive!) though!

dinky where are you taking the boys to see santa? We've booked to go on the Bluebell railway as they are doing a santa special. Hopefully it will be a bit different and we won't be queueing for hours!

Am frantically wrapping hundreds of presents. Yes, hundreds. Am on DD's school PTA and am helping organise their Christmas fayre and am in charge of santa's grotto! Thankfully DD1 is home this weekend and is helping me Grin

Hope everyone is doing ok?

MOSagain · 12/11/2011 19:18

Grin just seen on FB there is a new baby Wink

SilveryMoon · 12/11/2011 19:20

SilveryMoon · 12/11/2011 19:20

Bumps????? She's my frend on fb, I haven't seen anything

SilveryMoon · 12/11/2011 19:21

Aaawwwwww, beautiful name too. Love it. Congrats bumps Grin

MOSagain · 13/11/2011 07:05

Grin Right, who is next?

SilveryMoon · 13/11/2011 07:14

Not me, that's for sure! I just came off of a 16 day period. Yep, 16 days!!!!!

oooggs · 13/11/2011 09:14

Not me, well not this husband Wink

oooggs · 13/11/2011 09:14

Intact not me ever!

dinkystinky · 13/11/2011 18:16

Shock Calico - cant believe the teacher didnt notice!! I'd be rather concerned but sure your DS is fine with his new cool dude hairdo. Next week he'll probably come home with gel in it Wink DS1 has hot wheels - his nanny got him it for last christmas when he was 4 - and he loves it but Danny spends most of his time wrecking it...

MoS - new baby?? Must rush off to F B after this to check out the news - congrats to Bumps if she's looking on here (suspect she may be rather too busy to do so for a while though). Took DS1 and Danny on the bluebell railway over the summer when staying with MIL - they loved it so am sure your 2 will love it too - especially with added Santa!

SM - 16 day period! Wow that has to be some kind of record.
