Here we are, our new thread and this time we all have our babies !

I thought we were getting thrush again, but then realised I had let ds's latch get sloppy. He was constantly clicking and tutting at the breast but I was too distracted to notice.

Ds and I made butterfly cakes together this morning, ds got to choose the colour of the buttercream icing ..... It is a very lurid shade of pink and they are covered in sugar strands. You can never have enough sugar!

That is all GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

kittycatcat · 23/06/2011 08:52

Excited much lis Wink Have a brilliant time.

I'm just off to the breast feeding cafes summer fete.

Cyclebump · 23/06/2011 09:59

Aaargh, sleep regression last night. 11ish until 3, then 5-8. Am so tired, how did I do this at the beginning?! Thank god I had coffee cake in the fridge for breakfast, mmmmmmmmm

Sounds great Lis, party your arse off on all of our behalves!

Ok girls, now it's nearer the time I need honest opinions.

It's my sister's wedding next Friday, still no word on whether H is allowed to go to any of the day.

Am I being precious in thinking my boobs will be on the verge of exploding if I'm away from him all day with no opportunity to express?

Starshaped · 23/06/2011 10:47

Not being precious at all Cycle. I wake up with exploding boobs whenever we get a decent stretch of sleep, there's no way I could go all day without feeding or expressing!

I know the wedding/children issue is done to death on AIBU but as somebody who invited no kids (apart from the nieces and nephews) to their wedding, I don't think it's reasonable to expect a small baby (especially a BF baby) to be left at home. Had any of my friends had small babies, I would have invited them. They don't cost you anything to feed and are so tiny that there's no way they can get in the way!

Sassy20 · 23/06/2011 11:04

Lis have a fantastic time and enjoy your night of uninterrupted sleep!

Cycle you're not bring unreasonable at all.

Liv77 · 23/06/2011 11:06

Cycle definately take H with you, yes your boobs will become ticking time bombs. If your sister wants you to be there she'll have to understand that means a BF baby comes too. Take a feeding cover you can use during the service, that would guarantee a quiet baby for the ceremony or if she's worried you're going to start flashing your Biscuit Biscuit's about and upstage her Grin Also sit where you can make a swift not to obvious exit if needed.

Lis have a great time at TT, I have my DS first sports day this afternoon and am planning on BF when it's time for the mummies race, if P doesn't oblige and is asleep I will definately be needing a Wine tonight.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 23/06/2011 11:41

Cycle - how can your sister possibly think you can leave him? He's only 2.5 months old......

You'll have to take him with you, else you will be leaking all over your dress! Grin

LisMcA · 23/06/2011 12:26

Are you a bridesmaid cycle, something in the deep recesses of my brain says so! You are not being unreasonable to say you are taking him. If she says no, I would personally say you won't go. I know it's the brides day, but if shes being that unflexible then she has given you no choice. Is there any way you mum cold broach the subject for you, it would save it becoming some kind of confrontation.

BTW, the wedding we were invited to and B wasn't is also this weekend...we're not going. we did ask if we could take him, but it was an instant no. turns out because I'm expressing, we could have gone, but we come as a package deal now!

Except when mummy is going to meet her first love Robbie Williams of TAKE THAT. Did I mention where I'm going tonight?? :o:o:o:o:o:o

JustKeepSwimming · 23/06/2011 14:15

Lis - you are making me laugh Grin Have a fab time!

Liv - i had DS1's sports day yesterday, M obliged with BF at the right time:)
No way am i running in these bf bras!

Had GP appt earlier, need to just keep an eye on M's uneven leg creases & possible lazy eye, though i'm not stressed about either. Was hoping for a weigh-in but not today - may get round to going to a clinic at some point...or not

Forgotten what i was going to say may try again later!

Cyclebump · 23/06/2011 17:02

Hmmmm, didn't think I was being silly. He's banned from the ceremony full stop and yes, I'm a bridesmaid in a non-feeding friendly dress.

DP has said he'll take him in the pram for the ceremony (he's very cross about the whole thing) and I'm hoping she'll be flexible and allow him to the meal and evening do. Have started freezing milk ready for it so I can have a couple of bottles for emergencies.

Mum tried to say she was being unfair (they got engaged when I was already pregnant). I think I'll have to bite the bullet and talk to her about it when I see her next week.

Hope all is ok JKS, please push for a scan on his hips if the creases are uneven, uneven creases were how my hip dysplasia was finally discovered at 18 months, when it's very difficult to correct. I'm sure he's fine but push just in case x

Petalouda · 23/06/2011 18:49

Who wants to guess which celebrity we spotted at the weighing clinic this morning?!

MrsWajs · 23/06/2011 19:17

Petalouda · 23/06/2011 19:20

Petalouda · 23/06/2011 19:21

MrsWajs · 23/06/2011 19:22

Petalouda · 23/06/2011 19:25
