It was getting desperate and since MrsMCJnr suggestion came in last and I was being lazy I just went for that - hope that is ok.

p.s. thanks for asking about S's CP. She's fine now. In fact, you would hardly have thought she was ill. It was nice to have her at home, really. Even she had to admit we had a nice time, and she adores nursery!

AngeChica · 02/04/2011 20:59

just popping on to say happy mother's day to all x

mixedmamameansbusiness · 06/04/2011 12:34

Ahhh we must all be out soaking up the sun. So quiet here.

Not much to report but just thought I would say hi.

JustKeepSwimming · 06/04/2011 15:41

Hi from me too :)

Nothing going on here really, loving this better weather, just in time for the school holidays :)

AngeChica · 06/04/2011 22:48

it's really quiet here. But i need to vent, sorry... was on the phone to my dad this evening and he literally collapsed mid call. Been taken to hospital, scans show a brain lesion... I am absolutely terrified. My dad is my hero. He is incredibly fit for his age, 62, does loads of fairly hardcore running and walking. will update tomorrow. :( sorry to put a downer on things.

JustKeepSwimming · 07/04/2011 07:42

Oh Ange :( I truly hope he's alright, his fitness should help him pull through I hope. What's the treatment plan? Have you found out much more since last night? Probably not yet, lots of tests & waiting around to get through first.
Can you go and see him?
Thinking of you.

madmouse · 07/04/2011 12:12

Just popping on to send Ange a big supportive encouraging hug

And to send JKS labour vibes x

mixedmamameansbusiness · 07/04/2011 13:44

Oh Ange. Do keep us updated. Thinking of you.

JKS - come on now!

OP posts:
latrucha · 07/04/2011 16:11

I'm sorry to hear your Dad is so ill. Please let us know how he is, and how you are.

Fillybuster · 07/04/2011 18:29

Oh Ange :( Sorry to hear that - sending you lots of big supportive hugs. Please keep us posted

MrsMc - just to add my tuppence worth, I agree with the others about X : if the problems are all manifesting at nursery, and aren't at all apparent at home, then its very unlikely that he is expressing a problem at home....much more likely that he's either copying behaviour he's seen other kids doing in the nursery environment or acting up because of the friendship/fighting with the other boy. FWIW Ari was/is a real softie but went through a phase of wanting to play with the biggest/roughest boys in his class, even though he didn't actually enjoy it. I never stopped him, but was aware that it affected his behaviour for a bit....but I felt like there might be a bit of testosterone/boyness he needed to get out of his system occasionally that he couldn't express at home. Please don't worry about it but I do think you should take it up with the nursery to a) make sure there's nothing going on there that they are missing and b) to avoid the 'labelling' issue.

JKS - sending you contraction vibes

LaT - glad S is better. How is D?

OK, off to manage bedtime...

simpson · 07/04/2011 19:48

oh ange Sad thinking of you.....

M had hosp appt today and they think she has something wrong with her stomach lining Sad so gut biopsy is on the cards....probably in the next 3mths or so...

AngeChica · 07/04/2011 21:48

thank you everyone - that means a lot! pa is more himself today apparently , making jokes and reading the paper. Speech is a bit halting though. Annoyingly they aren't doing the MRI til the morning, after which they will decide if he needs to go to Addenbrookes for neurosugery or if it can be dealt with locally. He's on anti seizure meds so is still in hospital. I want to see him desperately of course but may be wiser to wait to find out when the op will be. It's hard to know what they are facing til they get in there but he's been thoroughly checked out & the rest of him seems to be fairly healthy so that's good. DH says my nagging can have that effect on a man :)

Echoing JKS baby sentiments - need some happy news.

mixed - i've been doing zumba class twice a week and loving it! Also started going jogging. Both lift my spirits hugely.

simps :( about M tummy probs but hope she is thriving otherwise and if you get a proper diagnosis they will be able to treat it better hopefully.

MrsMc I agree with your psychologist friend, and also feel that the nursery staff should really be able to cope with all kinds of behaviours. I don't know about others, but A goes through so many "phases" behaviour wise, it should pass soon enough... and chicken pox added in to the mix I see.

No Gineme on this new thread ! ?

JustKeepSwimming · 08/04/2011 06:14

Ange - that is sounding fairly positive so far :)

Simps - that's so :( i really hope they can get on top of her allergies/diet/stomach issues. Does she still have really bad diarrhoea?
(one word I can never quite spell!)

Thought things might be starting, slowly, last night but went to bed and nothing happened. Only 38+5 today so need to be more patient...(DS1 born at 38+1, H at 40). Could be anytime...which is driving me mad, lol!

H had a few post 6am wake-ups in a row. this morning? 5.13. sigh & yawn.
DH was going to get up but tbh, once I'm awake that's pretty much it for me whilst he can go back to sleep in seconds. Envy

mixedmamameansbusiness · 13/04/2011 14:02

Just waving.

BF has failed here again, but glad I tried but FF is such a faff. I wont bore you with the details but cried and now it is done.

My nan passed away so had her funeral on Monday which was actually a lovely day, my mums family are notoriously angry with each other and sparks were expected. A little peeved no one told me there was a bouncy castle at the wake, I would have brought S and E. Never mind. Took Em with me though as couldnt bear to leave him all day.

DH had a funny moment the other day. His culture (he would say religion) shave babies heads completely shortly after birth and we have done this with S and E but I just didnt want to this time and put my foot down. So on Sunday I said we would pop to his mums and he said

"if my mum and dad ask why we havent shaved his head tell them we did and it has grown back"

I dont know if you have seen the pics but really dont think they are that guillible. Grin

Anyway, hols going relaly well here. My cousin is over from OZ with his daughter so we have been out and about every day and have playdates and stuff planned for next week.

JKS - not saying anything Wink

OP posts:
latrucha · 13/04/2011 14:39

Smile??????????

JustKeepSwimming · 13/04/2011 18:24

No, no baby news - she's just winding me up by not asking if there's baby news :)

Mixed - your DH is funny!!! Sorry the feeding didn't work out, but you know you've given him the best bit already :)

No signs here, horrible indigestion that's about it.
Off out for a friend's birthday curry later :)

latrucha · 13/04/2011 20:27

Any news, Ange? Thinking of you.

JKS - any baby news Wink

MM - sorry about your nan. How are you doing? You sound incredibly sorted in general (as usual)

I've got flu. That's all I have to report. There has been nothing else, except DD shouting 'DO SOMETHING' at me, and when asked not to shout in my ear, sitting on my head. Lovely to be needed. Grin

madmouse · 16/04/2011 08:14

JKS is missing from facebook since yesterday....

JustKeepSwimming · 16/04/2011 09:22

Oi madm stop stirring! Home Internet went down last night that's all! :)

No baby news no signs 39+6 today ...

latrucha · 16/04/2011 09:48

madmouse · 16/04/2011 10:13

JustKeepSwimming · 16/04/2011 13:20

Believe me I'm hoping too! Internet worked then crashed again grr.

Even dh is saying come on baby, T came straight in this morning- is today the day the baby's coming? Only H is blissfully unaware!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 16/04/2011 13:34

Hahah I was just about to come on and say JKS has been missing btu I see we have already had this conversation. Grin

OP posts:
madmouse · 16/04/2011 16:17

JustKeepSwimming · 16/04/2011 16:20
