It was getting desperate and since MrsMCJnr suggestion came in last and I was being lazy I just went for that - hope that is ok.

Happy birthday George Grin

Am currently sat in X-ray queue at hosp as doc thinks I've broken my foot, how long I will wait who knows...

simpson · 10/01/2012 13:01

oh nooooo!!!

Is this from when you thought you had broken your toe??

JKSLtd · 10/01/2012 13:26

Well from the 2nd time Blush

First time I bashed my right foot & doc agreed nothing to be done there.
Second time bashed my left foot, on Christmas eve and it still hurts so thought I best get it checked out. He thinks I've broken a metatarsal.
Just not sure how long I can wait, or what to do I things go on all day...
Boys at sch, M napping at home with the nanny (she still comes 2 days) so all is fine for now.
She can collec T (with M) and be back or H's bus but M will need feeding at some point, so may have to get her to drive her up to me & get babysitter to watch the boys...

simpson · 10/01/2012 19:40

oh no. Hope you get/got seen quickly.

latrucha · 10/01/2012 20:55

Hope all is well JKS

JKSLtd · 10/01/2012 21:27

Thanks Smile
Luckily I only waited an hour, X-rays took less than a minute, then I got told the results will be sent to your gp in a few days so I left. Bit confused, was expecting to see someone re treatment ...

simpson · 10/01/2012 21:47

how odd....sending results to gp???

When J had his xray for his hand we got the results straight away....

JKSLtd · 10/01/2012 21:48

I know, but then all other times I've had anything to do with X-ray have been through a & e.
It follow ups for t's broken leg.

Maybe they got me confused with someone else. I was just happy to get out of there!Blush

simpson · 10/01/2012 21:59

ah ok, I had actual appt for J's xray it was not at a & e.

Just had v odd text from exH saying he has something he wants to talk to me about but he cannot call as no credit and he does not want his mother to overhear....this is not going to be good Sad

JKSLtd · 11/01/2012 05:57

Does not sound good - have you rung him? Sad

My post was meant to say 'a&e. Or for follow ups for T' or something, the it doesn't make much sense!

So either a&e or appointments.
Though I think H had a chest X-ray with the same 'urgent' (ie no appt but turn up between 9-4 and wait Hmm) system - cant remember maybe they sent the result to gp then as well.
Just seems so weird, what if it is broken shouldn't they do something not just let me hobble out?

JKSLtd · 11/01/2012 06:47

This is Tom Grin

(he wanted to say hello)

latrucha · 11/01/2012 07:40

Hello Tom!

I hope you hear very soon.

simpson · 11/01/2012 09:14

Hello Tom!!

Happy birthday to Ediz.

ExH has decided he wants me back.

Oh wait, let me just drop everything to accomodate him!!! Hmm Twat!!

latrucha · 11/01/2012 09:42

I'm not surprised he want YOU back, Simpson. ROLF that you might accept him!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDIZ!

Fillybuster · 11/01/2012 11:04

Happy birthday Ediz!!!!! GrinGrinGrin

Hello Tom! :)

Simpson....PMSL.....how long did it take you to scrape your jaw off the floor and tell him no? And how are the plans for M's birthday coming along?

I baked round 2 of The Fairy Doll Dress last night, based on sound instructions from Stealthsquiggle on my other thread. Better, but still not great....however I refuse to be defeated. I reckon with some judicious trimming and a couple of 9" sandwich round cakes underneath (which I shall bake tonight), it will be ok. Why do they have to make these dolls so bloody tall?!! Its the length of the legs that's the problem. DH wants to perform surgery and remove her legs from the knees down, but I think T would be traumatised....Grin

JKSLtd · 11/01/2012 11:23

Happy birthday Ediz Grin

Filly - lol at amputated doll, not good for little girls!

How's your foot JKS?

JKSLtd · 12/01/2012 20:57

Luckily it's not broken :) phew!

it's getting better already - or maybe it's in my head now i know that it's not broken?

latrucha · 12/01/2012 21:57

Good news - I suppose it doesn't feel very secure to think that you may have an unprotected broken bone. Knowing that you haven't may well make you feel better.

Simpson - How are you after exH's last big idea?

simpson · 12/01/2012 22:12

Am v pissed off with him tbh and not looking forward to his visit first w/end in feb If he mentions it again while over here, he will not be allowed over again, am not going to let him bully me Smile

Am v nervous, have been picked to go on a training course tomorrow at a local childrens centre (but not the one I go to) Its a training course on how to be a volunteer in a school (as need to find a placement somewhere soon) Only one person is picked from each childrens centre in borough so am pleased I have place iyswim.

J also has a cycling proficiency test tom so it will take longer to get to school than normal (not what I need when I have to be on course by 9.30)

Have finally booked M's birthday party but because I left it a bit late Blush it has to be 2wks after the actual day. But at least it will give her something to look forward to Smile

Have date to meet with surgeon for J's op on 16th feb and spoke to school nurse today and she said be prepared for a GA as he is so young Sad

Also finally got appt for M's OT appt which is not till mid march Shock

latrucha · 14/01/2012 10:36

You've got a lot going on simpson. I find the late birthday party, which S always has, doesn't matter in the slightest.

You sound like you have the right attitude to exH but it must be annoying to have to have an attitude.

DH is away for two weeks. We're one week in now. D is finding life very trying and not sleeping at all well. He's having a growth spurt and eating tons, which means lots of poos, and nappy rash and wind. He's all in a muddle and terrified of having his nappy changed. Last night he was literally shaking with fear while I did it moaning 'bottom, bottom.'Sad

I'm using tissue and baby oil as wipes seem to really hurt him. Any other suggestions. My method is keeping it more or less in control butit's a bit messy and wasteful.

simpson · 14/01/2012 11:12

M's bum was always red raw if she had eaten anything she shouldn't have done.

The only thing that worked was no wet wipes, but cheap kitchen roll and warm water and then patting it dry with the kitchen roll after iyswim. I did try cotton wool but its not the best for clearing up poo Hmm

J's hand seems to be causing him problems. The lump has got bigger and moved and you can actually see the sliver of wood under the skin. Have tried drawing it out this morning but its hurting him too much Sad Would be fab if I could get it out as it would save him having the the op iyswim.

madmouse · 14/01/2012 16:40

Simpson it may yet happen by itself, it has a month to do so. There is also cream that we used to have in Holland that can draw stuff out. I can't translate it but it contains ichthammol or Ammoniumbituminosulfonate.

madmouse · 14/01/2012 16:44

Oh found it in English here
