have you cut out anything with caffeine mlic? that's the most likely cause of headaches re diets/detox, otherwise they have to be pretty hard-core (eg juice only or fasting) to result in a headache like that.

if not, i'd get it checked out by your doc. might be just a virus or bug.

horrible Sad

MLIC I'd love to see, thanks.

The happy thing doesn't bother me really. 1 year of marriage and i've never taken out the bins, and I never walk the dog. Everything tends to balance out in the end!

After a months of trying, I finally managed to get gwen to eat sweet potato. Yay!

Hello there

Thanks for all your comments about M's eating habits. It didn't seem right to restrict it but I was getting a bit worried cos all her "friends" are so much less chubby. It's good to hear there are others like that out there. WSS M is 8.5 kilogrammes at 7 months, so pretty similar to yours.

Poor MLIC. I don't have any advice, just wanted to express sympathy.

Needle So sorry about your negative pregnancy test Sad Keep at it Grin and we can be pregnant on this thread together.

DH We are actually thinking about postponing (once again) the wedding to next year. We still need to get lots of documents from the UK and they need translating so it would be May or June at the earliest. By that time I will probably be showing already and judging by my last pregnancy I'm gonna be a fat monster rather than slim with a belly. Call me vain but I don't think I want that for my wedding photos. Mmmh, decisions, decisions.

We also need to start looking for a bigger flat. I'm dreading the idea. The estate agents here are useless and there are so many people looking for flats (rent) that they can just herd them all in for one viewing and then you'll have to fight for a flat. That is so not our style so I'm not holding out much hope unless there is a flat that nobody wants Hmm

M is in such a bad mood lately. Not sure what to do about it. There is no sign of teeth, she is sleeping fairly well. Moody babies, who'd have thought. I always thought that would be teenagers.

Hope you're all having a nice day.

trudyla thanks, I hope so! I'm still bf in the morning and at lunchtime, so I suppose the chances are pretty slim, but because I had a lot of the same warning signs I had last time I did the test in case. I'm not worried, i'm 24 so I've plenty of time, but we want lots, so I want to keep things moving!

MLIC, I had pizza for breakfast :-s ah well, shred again tonight!

afternoon everyone
needle sounds like an amazing poo, my dh would have been so proud of L if he did that, he would tell people for years to come, its quite bad when your dh praises large poops more than crawling!!! Grin
mlic maybe your head is killing due to your sight and straining your eyes to sew, ive not been able to cross stitch much since L as my eyes have deteriorated so much i get terrible heads if i do.

just came back from group, so proud of L they cant believe how much he is moving around, and they have a huge padded ball pit that he cried at when i took him out of, think this means i need to get his out from time to time! group was weird talking about stress managment, I started off by saying i feel 99% me at the mo and left feeling rubbish, i hate analizing stuff it messes up my head! but one of the girls their i didnt realise lives 2 moins walk from here so i may actually have made a friend, we are going to go to mums and tots together when the group finshes!
L woke at 1 then 6 then slept again til 8.40, typical when i needed to be out the house my 9!!!

Chulita · 02/03/2011 13:15

The main problem I have with sleep training is that it WILL wake L up. I'm not against it, I just can't do it until DH is on leave and he's on a leave ban for the forseeable future. His work is incredibly stressful at the minute, they've got to work 24/7 between 6 people so he's working most weekends and lots and lots of nights. I just can't add to that by cc-ing S. S also doesn't wake at the same time every night, he's all over the shop so it's deffo not habit wakings.

Just ran home from another group...hard work today cos I'm stiff from yesterday. Also got in and put L in bed, then S in bed, both were screaming blue murder, got them both back up, changed nappies/cuddled and then left them to it in their respective rooms cos I needed a shower. S is now downstairs flapping his arms around but I'm hoping to put him in bed in an hour or so. Very, very sore legs...

cheers mlic!!! dh said he was proud of me!
ive had to go back to the emergency dentist again!! more bloody anti biotics for me! the cyst in my jaw is now so big it is pushing strain onto the other teeth making the nerves in all teeth swell, a cyst has formed on the tooth next to it and an absess has grown on the existing cyst! im in bloody agony!! tried so hard to be brave, my hospital app is next wednesday and then he said after that it could be months before i get the operation im feeling very Angry and Sad sorry for rant, i cant talk to dh about it as he is working in a prison and they take the phones off them and i needed to vent or i would have cried in the dentist!!!

Woodlands · 02/03/2011 14:52

WEll done memphis, sounds really positive!

I've just eaten two mint aero bars, oops. I don't have the ravenous breastfeeding hunger any more but it doesn't seem to stop me eating too much. grr. I have a cold and am feeling sorry for myself so that's my excuse!

I would not be happy if DH never changed a nappy. He always takes J off to change his first nappy in the morning and brings him back to me in bed to cuddle and watch TV before he (DH) goes off to work. Then if he's working from home I change J's nappy in the same room, and if it's a pooey one he generally comes over to help out. I have found post-weaning poos to be much easier to clean up, no more poonamis to deal with now they are nice and solid. Stinky though!

memphis83 · 02/03/2011 15:19

woodlands ive just had a cadburys caramel trifle and half a pack of jam n creams for lunch, i make good healthy meals for dh and L (L had butternut squash curry and fruit for lunch) but i eat crap!!! at my support group they couldnt believe what dh does around the house, he changes nappies like your dh, help me bath and feed him at night, hoovers and mops (i NEVER do this) and washes up at night, but that doesnt stop him trashing the bathrooms daily and leaving worktops a mess Grin

Trudyla · 02/03/2011 16:06

MLIC So you put on less weight in your second pregancy? OK, I'll aim for that, too. I am actually very careful about eating at the moment. I'm doing a calorie restricted diet. Nothing dramatic though, just so that I should loose a pound a week or so until I start piling it on.

Needle I'm still breastfeeding, too, so it can happen Grin

Careful now! TMI
Woodlands I've been noticing more solid poos with M and I started panicking that she might be constipated. I am constantly trying to get water down her now. They are not proper solid but more like dense veg purree. I'm just surprised cos she only has two meals a day but still the same amoutn of milk feeds as always. The poos are easier to clean though, I agree. And not smelly at all I find. Thank god.

Memphis You poor, poor thing. Toothache is never nice, but what you are describing sounds horrific. Hope you'll be better soon.

trudyla I put on loads more with my second so be warned! Grin I had hyperemesis with L but with S I just needed to eat all the time. Gained far, far too much and am still trying to work it off whereas with L I lost it all very easily!

Having said that I've got a pumpkin pie in the oven and have just polished off steak, pesto potatoes and steamed veg...nice going chul Hmm

mlic have a lovely time! And go W ! nice one on the poo front, that's one to look forward too Grin

memphis sorry you've still got tooth trouble, I properly hate going to the dentist so I don't envy you at all.

woodlands aren't you back to pre-preg weight though? I thought I remembered you saying you were so choccy all the way Wink

Dylthan · 02/03/2011 19:56

Shock I've just had someone say they hope I am single and childless and that I am an idiot and to stupid to converse with Sad

Should probably only stick to this section of mn it's a little bit scary in the rest. Smile

Chulita · 02/03/2011 20:03

dylthan that's horrible :( I properly armour-up when I venture forth into other topics. Just ignore them, they don't know you and (hopefully) never will. Best to let them get on with their little power trips and don't let them get to you. Have a Brew

I've read that other book, are we just going to continue on the same thread? I suppose it makes sense.

Also re meet-up (sorry, not sure how many people are checking fb) should we change to a weekend?

Chulita · 02/03/2011 20:10

Just had a pootle through that thread, deffo ignore that poster, what a pile of garbage!

WhatSheSaid · 02/03/2011 20:16

Dylthan ignore, that poster seems like a nutter/troll.

Trudyla another one here who put on less with the 2nd pg. I put on about 17kg in first pg and about 10 kg in second. No idea what that is in lbs etc. Actually it was quite good being weighed in kilos as I had NO idea what the weight meant - they'd say "67 kilos" and I would just smile and think "No idea if that is good or bad!"

kkfairybrains · 02/03/2011 20:36

Cant get to a computer atm and cant get to the fb group on my phone but i dont think il be able to do the meet up. Wont be able to afford it and im so peed off that i cant go cos i really feel like im gonna be left out from all the conversations about it :(
E. Is nearly crawling too! she's brilliant at going backwards!
Memphis thats brill that you made a friend!!
I forget everything else now! oh i bought a car last night! I love it! a white octavia and im gettin nice wheels and vrs bumpers and nice spoiler on it. Im in love with it!

Chulita · 02/03/2011 20:52

tbh kkfairy we're leaving it so late now that lots of people are starting work again and we can't settle on a venue so who knows. Glad you got a car, you gonna pimp it to the max? Grin

I'm knitting S a jumper...taking me fricking ages. 5 months in and I've done the back and a quarter of the front. I just hope I finish it before he grows out of it (12mths apparently)
