Go for it Hermya! I need to get back to the union but it's kicking off all over & can't catch them at a quiet time

Hermya321 · 24/02/2011 17:03

It ridiculous, they're supposed to take requests like this seriously. I'm waiting on a call back from my union during which I will tearthemanewone have words.

BellaDesconocida · 24/02/2011 18:23

seashells hope you had a better day today - spring is almost here (I say, hopefully)

Hermya that's crap, GRRRR

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 24/02/2011 18:36

Bella, today wasn't to bad but Ds has now got the cold dh and I have had, so v little sleep again last night! Luckily the antibiotics dh is taking seem to be working. Dd2 is still feeding well despite her snuffly nose :) I still shouted at Ds today though, so my frustration and temper levels are not much better. I need to sleep better tonight!

Just joined a secondary transfer thread. -Scary!

Hermya321 · 24/02/2011 20:49

Nymph As in secondary school??? Wow, that must feel very scary.

Hermya321 · 24/02/2011 21:44

I've decided that when we get a bigger house that I'm going to kit DS's nursery out like this.

To be honest, DS does wear stripes and rainbow type things quite a lot so really it's a continuation on a theme.

NoHunIntended · 24/02/2011 23:02

Ooh, Hermya, I am liking the stripy rainbow theme! :)
Sorry to hear about the work hassles, what a pain. Hope you all get resolutions soon.

I have a giggler here. Giggly baby, oh, it's so so awesome.

shieldbug · 24/02/2011 23:16

elsa brilliant news about the harness. So pleased for you and Dd.

Seashells hope you get better sleep tonight

NoHun Oooh, giggles. Can't wait for Harry to reach that stage.

hermya hope you manage to resolve the work issues. Don't let them get away with anything.

Harry turned over from his front to back for the first time today. I was so ridiculously proud, I nearly got all emotional (but managed to stop myself!). Goodness knows what I will be like when he manages major milestones.

NoHunIntended · 24/02/2011 23:36

bug, nice work with the front to back rolls! :) Every milestone is awesome! DH managed to record some giggles this evening, and I have been watching and re-watching it with tears of soppy happiness in my eyes! :)

nymphadora · 25/02/2011 09:07

Hermya- yes!

Congrats shields DSGrin dd3 not into rolling yet, spends all day holding her feet & rocking

BellaDesconocida · 25/02/2011 11:45

seashells hope you had a restful night

nohun I can't wait for DD to giggle, I will probably sob, I sobbed the first time she smiled, but a proper giggle, that will be Something Else!

Well done little bug !

Im having a very naughty bacon and egg butty, probably to be followed by ice-cream. The perks of being a grown up! DD asleep after exercise session in the park (for me, not for her). Had a very good night, makes me feel a bit fraudulent Blush.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 25/02/2011 12:44

Go Harry! LO is still rocking from side to side sucking her toes rather than rolling Grin

Night was ok, but Ds was up for 2 hours. He came running into th bedroom with dh, so said WTF is he doing out of bedroom, it's 2am. Dh looked sheepish and admitted he hadn't looked at the clock and thought it was more like 5ish. So I had to go in and settle Ds(I'm the kill joy who gets him to bed, he thinks Pappa=playtime!)Ho hum!! At least my cold is shifting and I got my job application sent :)

Well done on sorting your admin Seashells.

We had a good night though some may not approve of my methods. DD usually sleeps through and for the last week has been up twice in the night every night. So yesterday evening I gace her some formula followed by a BF then another BF at 1030 and she slept until 0530 which was an energy boost for me. I was very pleased that she'll still take a bottle as I generally don't bother as its a faff and I still struggle to express.

Elsa123 · 25/02/2011 14:16

that would be gave not gace....

TysonNobdie86 · 25/02/2011 14:39

Hi , im going to hopefully be started at college in september to do vet nurse training, feel abit guilty about leaving Sophie and Archie for a few days a week, it will be 9-5, 4 days a week.
Am i being silly, cos if I worked then I would be leaving them for work at nearly one years old anyway. I guess im convincing myself Confused

shieldbug · 25/02/2011 15:00

Congrats tyson at getting a college place to study what I imagine is a popular course. This sounds like a really good opportunity for you. Fwiw I think it's just the same as if you were going to work, and possibly even a day less. The critical issue would be the quality of care available. Go for it and well done.

elsa I always shove ds full of food just before going to bed (a full feed + a top-up) and it works a treat. He sleeps through most nights (until 7 am).

seashells well done for getting the job application done. good luck.

bella good to hear I'm not the only sloppy one!

shieldbug · 25/02/2011 15:01

sorry should have added NoHun to the sloppy comment!

Hermya321 · 25/02/2011 15:08

Elsa My friend who has two children said to me that she was of the opinion that she was a better Mother to her children if she had a good nights sleep. When she weaned her children, she used to give them baby rice at night so that they would sleep better.

I've been dreamfeeding the boy, I'm not sure how much difference it makes as he still gets up at 3am and then at 5am. But then again, if I didn't dreamfeed him he'd be three times during the night. Confused

Anywho, I have spoken with the man in the know at le union and explained what was happening and what man with the big brain had told me. Anyway one vveeerrrryyyyyy long conversation later, he agreed with me and said he would see what he could do. It was very positive and I feel a lot better about it.

I think I mentioned before about DS being very sicky, well we did go to the Doctors and he does have a bit of reflux but they gave me some infant gaviscon which has worked a treat with him. He was sick again today but he managed to miss himself and get it all over me instead.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 25/02/2011 15:14

Flying post- Tyson, pm me any qu you have etc as I'm a v e t and have trained nurses :) congrats on getting in!

Elsa-what ever works :) glad she is sleeping better again!

nymphadora · 25/02/2011 15:54

Good luck Tyson!

Hermya- sounding good, is this re transfer?

Good luck those trying to sleep!!!

Hermya321 · 25/02/2011 17:26

Nymph Yes it is.

tiredfeet · 25/02/2011 20:08

How exciting tyson Smile ,

Ds has decided its time he was weaned, he grabs any food I have and pushes it towards his mouth! He loves licking my apple so I made a bit of stewed apple yesterday and he enjoyed trying a tiny bit, going to start weaning more seriously after my interview next week, need to prep for that first!

hermya glad things are sounding a bit more positive
