I do most of the housework on a weekly basis - dh loves the dyson so he'll sometimes throw that around. His thing is moving all the furniture when I'm dysoning which gets me a bit cos if he's got nothing to do then surely he could just get on and clean rather than scooting chairs around while I do it Hmm still, he's lovely so I can't complain! DH does do the odd thing if I've left it too long and it looks minging - in theory I do each room once a week, in practice it's nothing like that. Our house is forever cluttered and therefore dusty, it would take me ages to clear it all to dust. DH does the grass/some car stuff (I'll do it if he doesn't)/DIY and he's always getting the washing on/doing the dishes.

Good luck finding something mlic !

Off to yet another group today in an effort to meet people, let's hope one of these groups actually has some chatty people in them!

S was up at 5 again and went down for an hour's nap and is awake again but he's sooooo grizzly he's doing my nut already and it's only just gone 8am

DesperateHousewife20 · 09/02/2011 08:11

HAHA sorry its so late again but yes it must be because Im too busy shagging!

DP reads in bed but Im usually feeding Dylan to sleep and once he is asleep Im too tired.

chulita what is a bf monkey? I dont remember mentioning that!

Dylan was up at 1am, 4:30am, 6:30am then we got up at 7:45. God awful night.

Im getting my hair done this month, Ive got a £10 off voucher which helps!

Chulita · 09/02/2011 08:15

Oh Blush wasn't it you who mentioned that Human Planet thing where the lady was bfing a monkey?

I desperately need my hair done but we're always busy on a Saturday and there's no way both children would sit through it on a weekday so I just look a mess at the mo...

Anyone else's LO dropping feeds? S is suddenly down to about 5 a day Confused

DesperateHousewife20 · 09/02/2011 09:24

No not me but that sounds disgusting!

Dylan has about 3-4 in the day but by the eve its just one long constant feed.

HotGiggity · 09/02/2011 09:30

I clean the bare minimum, all of you guys make me look like a terrible housekeeper...Blush

Chulita · 09/02/2011 09:50

dylthan that was you actually - sorry, should read back to find out who actually posts these things Grin

S resettled himself and has been sleeping now for over 2.5 hours Confused I wanted to try and new 'stay and play' this morning but I don't want to wake him...what to do, what to do, we're already late but I want to get L out of the house. She'll want a sleep around 12 so time's running out!

hg seriously, my house is permanently dusty, cluttered and not to great looking. I have a good clean if anyone comes round, otherwise we just tick along with the bare minimum. My all time record is not hoovering for 8 months when pg with L, can't get away with that now but I still go a fortnight between hoover sessions Blush

cake I'm afraid to say that DH has named our dyson Felix so hoovering in our house is Felixing

Grin

i'm not keen on housework but i'm v keen on tidying. i never walk around the house empty-handed as i'm always carrying stuff to go elsewhere, eg Aurelia + dh's discarded black socks or dirty nappy bag + read magazine etc. i'm not at all a minimalist but i only like ordered, pretty clutter. i get quite stressed at the thought of the type of 'mixed mess' that tsc described. we never have piles of mess like that as it doesn't stand a chance.

dh is naturally v messy so it's a constant challenge to not fall out over it - i hate his mess, he hates the fact everything has to be in boxes or cupboards. Felix has got a new obsession with putting his toys away in individual boxes and dh looks on terrified Grin

chulita's and tsc's DHs sound very grown-up re housework Smile

mine does stuff but only cos he has to

CakeandRoses · 09/02/2011 11:13

chulita re feeding - no, A's still in this horrid phase of wanting extra night feeds. She might fancy dropping a day feed but i'm not going to let her til she drops the night ones Grin

is S's poo still the nice bf type or is it proper, smelly stuff now?

memphis83 · 09/02/2011 12:23

my dh does the dishes and the hoovering and we have a huge built in wardrobe mine has everything thrown in his half is so clean, he refolds things in there once a week and has shoe boxes with his stuff in e.g one for all his bike stuff, one for bank statements
one for warrantys, all my bank stuff gets ripped up i dont even open it!!
went to group it was ok i listened and didnt talk about me just added bits to other stories

Chulita · 09/02/2011 12:50

cake S is normally constipated since we started solids so it's rock hard pebbles but today we had a HUGE squishy poo, not remotely bf poo anymore unfortunately! If A's anything like S she'll suddenly calm down on the feeds, he was manic for what felt like a month but now he's swung the other way and I'm scared he's not getting enough...

I've got clutter like tsc describes and it drives me mad but everytime I tidy it, it reappears as soon as my back is turned. I really just need to bin stuff.

memphis my dh used to be proper anal about stuff til we got married, everything in the right box etc, now he's joining me in the clutter :)

In other news, the new group I tried today was really good. Once we'd got through the mandatory 20 mins of L screaming like I was ripping her arms off she actually enjoyed herself. Next week we'll try and get there on time, then we might join in with the craft instead of arriving just in time for snacks!

memphis83 · 09/02/2011 13:00

chulita i have a pile of clutter in every room it drives me nuts but it is me who creates it, im slowly changing my ways i need to before L is properly on the move i have mail varnish, romover, tweezers, a tape measure, birtdfay cards for the next 6 months, cd, photos, vapour rub and 3 cameras all on a tiny table meant to put a cuppa on!!! dh is going to be home early today again, he shouted at me in the night he was half asleep and i got a kiss this morning with a sorry!!! may go out for a spin on my bike!!!

Dylthan · 09/02/2011 13:08

chulita yes it was me that was watching woman bf monkeys on human planet. I was getting a little worried that because no one was saying anything about it that everyone was thinking it was a normal thing to do Grin glad I wasn't the only one slightly freaked out by it Grin

Chulita · 09/02/2011 13:45

Grin dylthan

I just watched OBEM and got broody Hmm ack, someone stop me watching that ever again!

DesperateHousewife20 · 09/02/2011 14:05

I get broody watching it too! I want to be pregnant again and have a big tummy and eat what I want.

Maybe not...Grin

DP didnt take the bin out and I cant cos its downstairs and I cant leave Dylan. I dont really want to take the sack out the bin and leave it for him cos it often leaks, yuck!
So I cant fit anything else in the bin so my place is a state.

memphis83 · 09/02/2011 14:11

dh i never empty the bin, its so full at the minute dh will have to take stuff off the top but i wont empty it on principal it isnt my job!!! Grin
dont know how you can feel broody! watching that puts me off, it put me off having a baby when i was pregnant but it was too late then!!!

DesperateHousewife20 · 09/02/2011 14:50

Oh god Im def not broody now.

Dylan is doing my head in, hes tired but wont go to sleep so Ive left him in his cot.

DesperateHousewife20 · 09/02/2011 15:02

Oh its no good I cant listen to him cry, hes now feeding to sleep.

Oh Im really not having a good time of it right now.

I feel so tired I could die. Dylan wont go to sleep (hes had about 50 mins sleep all day)
I feel like punching something really, I cant face cooking etc and Ive got to start that soon.

Apparently they should be having 3-4 hours sleep a day, I know not every baby is the same but surely he should be having more than he is.

I swear if he has another bad night Im doing CC when his cold has gone, I cant take it.
