2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

do you not have the bristol chart? how remiss. Grin

CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 09:18

Grin Mind you, I think we'd need the specialist colour mixing service for some of the delights being produced post weaning...

Child still very snotty and swinging from much fun to much mis. Is it worth me getting ready to go to mums & tots or not? hmmmmmmm

CUNextTuesday · 16/02/2011 09:21

CUNextTuesday · 16/02/2011 10:13

Red?? What are you? Vampires?

I'm v nervous around this thread today, feel like I'm in a parallel dimension where all is not as it seems. It may be lack of sleep to blame for that though...

AlpinePony · 16/02/2011 10:42

Not us cunty - the little people and their love of garlicky tomatoey goodness!

On Monday I logged on to the council website and changed our address. Yesterday morning they phoned JB to find out whether we'd left the baybee at the old address. Part of me wants to laugh/cry - but I suppose at least somebody bothered to check. Confused Obviously we left food in the fridge for him and the leccy's still on so he can use the cooker.

Backinthebox · 16/02/2011 11:27

Alps that is hilarious!

CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 12:57

party at Bear's house then. Must be the youngest kid ever to have an "empty"!

OkieCokie · 16/02/2011 19:58

I always look at my poo.

Silv have a chat with the quack, tis nothing to fear. After all I think bum grape discussion would be a more difficult conversation to have non?

Vag do I take it you were in the same place as me yesterday or did you actually see me? If the former I hope you are happy with your results.

Muse good work old girl. Do I take it that it was all pretty quick? Come and tell us all about it and here, have this mighty stiff G&T.

I went out for dinner with boss man last night. I drunk a bit too much wine and mini oke woke at 5am and would not stay in his bed unless I stayed with him. Despite us both being in the same bed neither of us went back to sleep. Therefore today I am TIRED.

Moo how was your night out?

Muser · 17/02/2011 03:46

Hello all! I am home and currently attached to a baby. I'm afraid in the rush I forgot the gin. There were choccy biscuits but I appear to have inhaled those in a post-feed frenzy.

Laying was very quick. Went to labour ward at 3.30pm. Had baby at 5.30pm. Not highly recommending this approach as it was the result of my body deciding to push before being dilated. Quite ouchy, but gas andair did its thing. May not have been calm pool birth. But it was just us and the midwife, no hard drucks, no interventions but really quite shouty until the end. No swearing though.

Big congrats go to TBG who remembered my one absolutely not on the birth plan and said a big no to pethidine on my behalf. Especially as BobKate arrived about an hour after they proffered it.

Despite my hasty pushing I have only a small natural tear. Labour was fine and I never felt I couldn't handle the pain. But fuck me the examination and stitches were agony. Would have had the pethidine for that bit.

I also don't recommend laying at 5.30pm as when they offer you dinner you're still too tired and busy snuffling baby to eat. I am so glad I packed muesli bars and choccie biccies.

LadyGoneGaga · 17/02/2011 07:56

Sounds very efficient, Muse Grin. Glad all pretty much went to plan and you are safely home and well with a snuffly, wriggly baby!

CurlyCasper · 17/02/2011 08:20

morning Muse and welcome to the spa. get your nethers into the jacuzzi for some soothing. There's some drinkable bubbly on the side.

well done on that speedy birth. Pushing before dilation sounds ouchy and I'm Shock that you were offered Pethidine when things were going so fast.

But now you have your lovely girl, and she really is a wee stunner. i'm all Envy at the snuffleyness!

I have a ridiculously poo-tastic baby. Had to sit her up in thw bath and hose her down with the shower head. but while the bum's gone bad, the nose has dried up. And we're back to raspberry blowing and gum poking. So maybe, just maybe, it might finally be time for a tooth?

OkieCokie · 17/02/2011 09:21

Welcome muse to the other side! I would have a quick birth than a long drawn out affair anytime! You sound as if you coped remarkabley well. Get some tea tree oil and I prescribe 2 x tea tree baths a day for the undercarriage. Welcome too to BobKate.

Cosmosis · 17/02/2011 09:24

Fuck me muse that was quick!

Well artie self settled last night - as in, I left the room when he was awake and he fell asleep no drama. Now we just need to work on the hourly wakenings from 12.30 onwards

OkieCokie · 17/02/2011 09:59

Cos what do you reckon the issue is? Are you doing that dream feed biz?

Cosmosis · 17/02/2011 10:03

I buggered if I know Okes. I don't do a dream feed as he always wakes between 9 and 11 at somepoint for a feed anyway.

OkieCokie · 17/02/2011 10:16

Does he have a big feed then? When he wakes in the night what do you do? Is he napping OK during the day?

Cosmosis · 17/02/2011 10:22

he mostly naps well in the day, he has both sides when he wakes up, yes a big feed.

The wakings after, I try and sooth him back to sleep first, if that doesn't work I feed.

Today I am going to really make an effort to pile the feeds in during the day as he's not had much during the day for the last few days becuase of being poorly, so I think last night may have been a bit of reverse cycling going on.

Medee · 17/02/2011 10:29

Muse bloody well done. Even if you weren?t in the pool, that sounds as good as things could have been given how fast it all went. Was it the speed that prevented the pool birth? And, if you don?t you mind me asking, which positions did you adopt?

Scorpette · 17/02/2011 12:29

Wow, Muse, BobKate sure is an impatient little monkey Grin Sounds like it was too fast to be scary! Hope you're recovering well downstairs and V Well Done. May I also ask what positions you adopted (ooh, it's like TTC chat all over again Wink) and why you didn't want pethidine? Is it cos it can send peeps wappy?

Bitchslaps to the rest of you shlaaaaaaags too!

AlpinePony · 17/02/2011 12:30

Congratulations muser on your speedy arrival and for attempting to even out the boy-girl balance around here a little! :)

Has anyone got any tips & tricks for moving them in to their own bedrooms? Whilst I am undoubtedly a superwoman I cannot go on much longer on 3 hours a night. Confused

Don't ask me Alp, we're trying to get LG into a cot, let alone out of the room! Hell, we struggle to get TT to sleep in her own room sometimes!
