2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

Sitting here typing in between champagne and Thorntons (you would have had to have been privvy to the conversation about 'oh-shit-Valentine's-Day!' that OH and MrCluck had last neight to really appreciate this Grin.

All I am going to say about Clucky is that I have done my best. I tried to serve her up a dose of bowel irriation last night with spicy fajitas, collected her from her house this morning and had to wait for the reflex lady to finish doing her 'baby-out' foot treatment, and then took her on a 4 hr bone rattle across fields in a 4x4. We would have rattled a bit more but we were a bit hampered by a LittleChick who wanted to get her potty out and poo in every gateway and a TT who wailed 'I want to go home now' every 3 minutes (we didn't see horses or hounds much and so she was bored. It was tricky to keep up with the hunt when you are trying to BF, change nappies, get a picnic out, get a potty out, and overall wrestling with 3 sodding car seats every 10 seconds!) So - here's hoping for a Valentine's baby for Clucky. After the champagne had worn off, of course, so I can dash out to pick up LittleChick.

CluckyKate · 14/02/2011 22:14

Yep - good effort Boxer

Off to douse myself in clarey sage and massage my pressure points.
Car goes into the menders first thing tomorrow (over-heating) so fingers crossed the law of sod will conspire to get this baby out tonight!!!

AlpinePony · 15/02/2011 11:36

I remembered Valentines Day at around 6:30am as I was leaving the house, then again at 10 in bed. Veh romantic. Grin We're getting settled in the new house though and even managed a shag this morning although I then fell asleep until 9:30 - so lieu of going to the office an sat on McD's wi-fi. The glamma.

Cosmosis · 15/02/2011 12:29

clucks you've still a day to go to beat me, so either sneeze or cross your legs depending on if you want to or not Grin

well we are a house of less vom now, TGO has had it too and I think we're all uout of the other side thankfully.

we went to mothercare this am and got highchair and cups and shizzle for this food melarkey.

AlpinePony · 15/02/2011 12:33

cossie According to PESH clucky's plug has gone and she's in a race with Muser whose waters went last night.

Very glad to hear you're getting over the whole D&V thing.

I am in McD's on free wi-fi as no internet at home yet. Couple next to me just brought in twinz - they are smaller than Bear was when I had him so I'd guess at between 4.5 and 5.5 lbs. ShockGrin Sooooooo teeeny. She's a BESH too. Feckin' ancient.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 15/02/2011 14:13

My, Okes you look like you just stepped out of a salon!

OkieCokie · 15/02/2011 15:24

Oh my God Vag are you stalking me?! I am worth it don't you know

Alps are you feeding Bear mushed up Big Mac?

Right, who is a laying then. Sweep stake anyone?

SilverSky · 15/02/2011 15:26

Ooooooooo - go PESHs go! Hope they bring gin!

CluckyKate · 15/02/2011 16:02

Is a win-win situation Cossie - either I win the race with Muse or I win the record for longest ESH pregnancy Grin

I wouldn't get too excited though....think there's more plug to come yet, waters are still intact etc. etc.

Off to stock up on more gin for Silv - Gordons, Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire???

CurlyCasper · 15/02/2011 16:05

Well, we should be getting actual Gin soon, seeing as she is recovering from her lay. I love cluster laying!

alps - summer meeting would be nice BUT I'm having a bit of a battle WRT time off. (I have not told her this yet though, as would rather go back with good news. Especially now there are threats of Chinese burns). I have five big events this summer in my personal life, and several at work. And only two of us to cover the work = serious compromise. Had hoped to have it sorted...

rollerbaby · 15/02/2011 17:24

Eek major excitement in the laying drama....

Hello all and sorry to have been quiet this week... Cunty glad you are back in one piece and hope you managed to have some fun despite teething hell.

This week has been manic with various house dramas and being out for evening with my hairier half on Sunday night. tWas ace and much needed. We literally timed bedtime to perfection, raced to tapas bar, downed rioja and food and were the last fuckers into cinema after film began. You know the ones that make everyone get up with loads of popcorn and big coats they can't take off..., ahhhhhh.

Off out with Nct girls tonight. Twice in one week eh!! Well deserved after hideous night of two feeds after 3am...

Curly am going to be unlikely to make girls thing until April or may due to house stuff. Contractors saying likely to VE several weeks so not sure we will be around in march to come.

SilverSky · 15/02/2011 19:13

Bombay Sapphire Clucker!! Tis the only way.

It seems that the 1030pm feed is working well and we all then sleep til 6 ish.

HI has been discussing me with his colleagues and casually mentioned the PND survey thing online as he thinks I may be suffering. Today I have felt low, stroppy, emotional and like stuff is getting on top of me. Haven't told him this of course. He just wants me on happy pills to make his life easier. Perhaps if he showed more interest in what's going on in my world he wouldn't feel so shut out. His constant argument is that his job is to bring home the bacon and should have the right to forfeit allother responsibilities.

Went to a nice mother, toddler and baby group this morning. A nice mix of people. Will go again. Why oh why do they all have minging coffee tho??

SilverSky · 15/02/2011 19:15

moo social butterfly or wot! Have great time. You deserve it!

CUNextTuesday · 15/02/2011 20:49

Throwing down the comfy cushions for Muse's arrival I am. Good work girlfren!!

CurlyCasper · 15/02/2011 21:08

And fast work - reckon she'll be in here within hours Grin. Better get some more bubbly in and warm up the jacuzzi.

How are you feeling with regard to PND Silver? We're here if you need us.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 15/02/2011 21:58

Hooray for Muse & baby BobKate! Another girltypebaby!

Silver my lovely, hope you are ok. Can reform posse to sort HI if you like.

Okes I also am Worth It

PollyPoo · 15/02/2011 22:14

Silv are you alright? I have some spare scaffolding poles in the garden (like you do) I'm sure we could use them in some way to inflict injury on HI?

I wailed at the doctor yesterday and she gave me some happy pills. They gave me a headache and nausea last night, hoping this will not continue. Also got some infant gaviscon for BB as quack reckons she does have reflux (thanks for that tip Curls)

Yay for baybeeMuse! She sounds so loved up, it is just fab. Grin

Right, I'm off to bed. TG is doing the last feed from the bottle so an early night for me. Hoorah! He really is on best behaviour at the mo.

AlpinePony · 16/02/2011 06:45

silv It's OK to take the pills you know - to help you, nothing to do with HI. It's all about you doncha know. There's enough of us pill-poppers around here to be able to give the low-down on the entire psychological pharmalogical unit! Wink

curly I hear you. I currently have ~12 weeks hols in the bank and it's proving really difficult to take them. Unless I want to take the next 60 wednesdays off. :(

okie I'm shocked and offended that you thought I'd give Bear a Big-mac. :( He had a Happy Meal of course.

I love my new house. I love my baybee. I love my man. I love my everyfink right now. Except my job. Which I love. But I wish it were possible to schedule time off without it being such a drama. My role is a 52 week a year responsibility which is great and shit all at the same time. :( Have booked 3 weeks off in June and quite frankly BUMS to it if it all goes wrong.

Cosmosis · 16/02/2011 08:41

arses spoke too soon re being better. felt sick all night and have done 3 liquid shits this morning (there is no such thing as tmi here right?) they are the weirdest colour, a really pale beige. freaky. artie wouldn't sleep except on me again so think he's still feeling poorly too.

Yay muse! hurrah!

AlpinePony · 16/02/2011 08:45

I'd suggest Google cossie but christ knows what's lurking out there on German webservers. :( Grin

OP posts:
CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 08:45

How are you doing today silver? Come back and talk to us.

Glad doctor was helpful pols. The more you said the more it echoed my experience with Squeaks in the early weeks. I hope the meds work for both of you. Squeaks is finally off Gaviscon now she's sitting up more - doing it all by herself finally.

But like Cossie with Artie I am laughing at her a lot because she keeps spinning in circles or going backwards when trying to crawl Grin

Happy to hear the house is so good alps, but boo to work being a PITA. I'm going to be easing myself in a bit more over the next few weeks...

I like your talk of all you love. I've had a bit of a revelation recently, probably happy-pill related, but maybe because we are past the really hard young baby stage. I have never doubted my love for my wee girl, and have always loved showing her off etc. But now I completely adore her. I would never have said I didn't before, but there has been such a step-change. She's just so bloody amazing, even when she's balling her eyes out.

And now we have more P/FESHs meeting their little wonders. Let's get some more of them in here, and more BESHs into the deli!

CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 08:46

x-post Cossie. Feel better soon. Have a Brew and a duvet.

CUNextTuesday · 16/02/2011 08:47

YOU CHECK THE COLOUR OF YOUR POO??!

Er, but i hope you feel better soon like

Cosmosis · 16/02/2011 09:07

well not routinely but just saw the toilet out of the corner of my eye when I turned to flush (button on the top) and now I am fascinated Grin
