Stockings stuffed and hung back up, carrots chewed and biscuits crumbled, presents under the tree. Think i may have gone a bit overboard, there are loads . Oh well, time to get mindless drunk tipsy now Xmas Confused

Glad you are having a lovely birthday oops Xmas Smile

PertyPru · 24/12/2010 22:52

Aw, you guys, have I missed the love-in? Presents are wrapped, stocking is hung, time to eat crumble a cookie and drink some milk (I blame Blue Kangaroo - there was no persuading her that FC might prefer a Grown-Up Drink Xmas Hmm), fill the stocking and get some sleep.

Loti, so glad your dad made it, and BBBB glad your birthday was a good one. Xmas SmileXmas Smile

Hope you all have lovely, lovely days tomorrow, as you deserve - please have a drink for me, I fully expect to have consumed my meagre ration within half an hour of my mother arriving in the house... Xmas Wink

HoHoHotsAMerryChristmas · 24/12/2010 23:59

Hey pert Xmas Smile think I have had yours and star's and merlion's share of the Christmas Eve booze Xmas Blush so better head bedwards in anticipation of an early wake-up call and doing it all again tomorrow.

Love you all and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

RedLentil · 25/12/2010 01:35

Presents finally wrapped. We've no internal doors at the moment so couldn't hide anything and it was easier to keep them in brown boxes. The children never leave my side so I couldn't do it before tonight. DH has built a small toy kitchen too.

The elves have just opened DS's presents to them and they're a tiny umbrella and a tiny handmade kite made out of paper, string and cocktail sticks.

Merry Christmas to you all. You're fablius as DD1 says. Smile

RedLentil · 25/12/2010 06:21

Christmas muffins almost ready. DS woke at 4:45 but he was delighted with the few chocolates and the joke kit and Playmobil jewel thief toy in his stocking so he's playing next to a sleeping dh until the girls wake up.

Then when everyone's ready and the muffins are eaten, we'll all come down together. V. exciting this year. Smile

I hope he visited you too.

RedLentil · 25/12/2010 16:43

Dear Secret Santa,
Thanks for my lovely hat and the wonderful book. The girls say thanks for the hat too. They've been wearing it all day.
Love,
S.

CaptainCaveman · 25/12/2010 20:12

Happy Christmas ladies Smile. It's been a lovely day, ds1 thoroughly excited by it all, ds2 a bit nonplussed, although he does rather like the blow-up mickey mouse chair santa bought Xmas Grin

Top lunch courtesy of dh, I'm just about to put ds1 to bed, then dh and I can drink lots of wine and watch the gorgeous Dr Who!

Secret salta santa thank you so much for the book! I intend to find some time tomorrow to get reading!

CrispyTheChristmasCracker · 25/12/2010 20:18

Happy Christmas Smile

Great day here, DD's not too overexcited other than DD2 trying to open every single present Grin

DH cooked dinner here too, although DD1 only ate a sausage Hmm

Girls sleeping and DH snoring on the sofa whilst i am watching Strictly

Thankyou to my SS, i did have to Grin @ my pressie - how on earth did you know of my penchant for prawn cocktail walkers? ConfusedGrin. I do think it may be down to some mud wallowing trucker though due to the handicraft....

BibiBelle · 25/12/2010 20:23

Morning all Smile

hope you all had a great day yesterday.. the girls had a ball!! i was on my feet all day and dh's did not stop eating all day!!

as both dad are staying over we got to sleep on the couches and then my poor dad came in fully clothed at 5.30 thinking it was 8am ]hmm]

have mil and crew here today but no bil/sil as they seem to have the hump with everyones, they never bothered to accept or reject our boxing day invitation so if by some miracle they decide to come i will be v angry as i haven't catered for them!!

hope u all have a wonderful day and cooking day 2 commences shortly HmmGrin

luckoftheirish · 26/12/2010 07:22

ps i am trying to type in semi darkness as dh still trying to sleep whilst dd2 jumps all over him so appologies for bad spelling/missed words etc!! it was dh's dad who didn't stop eating lol xx

hippyChristmaspotamus · 26/12/2010 09:07

morning loti, can you not delegate some of the food prep/cooking? you need a break girlie!

happy christmas to all of you hairy bunch of truckers

yday was lovely, apart from a lack of brothers visiting (one was invited and i think the other one's sulking because of it Hmm) It was so nice just having the four of us here. DH was in charge of cooking and we had lunch at 6.30 Xmas Grin Was bloody gorgeous though and well worth the wait. i suspected we might have been eating late so i made sure we were stocked up on easy things to snack on through the day!

we're off to pils later so i'm meant to be packing for our trip. dh having a well deserved lie-in though so we're not rushing anywhere any time soon!

hots what are the roads like near you?

Hello Friends!Smile

It was lovely to wake up to snow falling yesterday. Now most has melted and I am glad. It's good for a moment.

Time to balance the checkbook and see if we have any money left. I would love to find that we had enough to head to the beach for a few days since DH is off until the new year. Please don't hold your breath.

I am amazed at all the positive energy flowing through the thread. Everyone appears to have had a glorious Chr istmas.

Any news about Queenie? I've been hoping she'd have a Chr istmas baby.

Captain the SS is still in transit. No post today so I bet it will turn up tomorrow. It is probably with DD1's princess watch.Wink

I'm not sure I've ever told any of you about my DH's crazy gift giving. One year he gave me a jewelry box and an electric can opener.Hmm This year he got me a new D ooney & B urke purse and an electric hand m ixer. LOL! My last one broke YEARS ago but just think that's funny. Should have slipped a hint about BlueBerry's beautiful red mixer.Hmm

Later!

HoHoHotsAMerryChristmas · 26/12/2010 13:41

Hell all Xmas Smile

Back from my mum's where we had a lovely day, apart from the last hour last night when DSis, who was absolutely mindless drunk, refused to go to bed and we nearly had a fist fight on the stairs Xmas Hmm was almost like living in an episode of EastEnders Xmas Grin anyway she can't remember any of it today and my mum has vowed to renew the booze vigilance when she's there

Kids had a ball and the house is full of plastic crap lovingly chosen toys. Off to the corner shop now to try and find ingredients for trifle.

HoHoHotsAMerryChristmas · 26/12/2010 13:49

Oops, sorry, HellO all Xmas Blush

CaptainCaveman · 26/12/2010 14:17

lol hots I thought you were going to say you'd had a bad christmas then, but it seems you just lost your O Grin

We made it to church this morning, although over half the congregation didn't! was lovely.

House now semi-full of plastic crap, as it seems ds1 is a little too old for huge plastic crap
