Are you still there? Are you ok?

Could you take him to a and e?

Wish I could do more than type bloody words to you.

CakeandRoses · 31/10/2010 05:07

Mlic in case we don't catch up again until the morning proper. Please ask for any help you can get. I can tell you're usually one of life's copers and want to succeed on your own but this is too much for anyone.

Please arrange for dh to help more with house/children even if just for a predefined time. I know it's not how things are in your house but imo these are no longer normal circumstances you're trying to cope with. You've been doing brilliantly but its reached a stage where doing this alone isn't viable.

Also, I wonder if something like homestart could help? Just to give you some time to have a regular break.

I know none of this deals with the real issue of W's feeding but YOU need back-up to deal with that. Just a chance to get some sleep would help a bit I'm sure.

Sorry if I've come across all bossy and prefectish, I'm not v good at wording things more gently. The only other thing I'd say is in the short time I've 'known' you I have been truly amazed at how well you've coped with everything and still had the time and generousity to help others on here.

Really wish I could help you.

Massive cuddle. X

Oh god mlic dont hate yourself for doing it. Anyone in your position would think the same and i really believe that. I do think cakes is right- you need some help somewhere along the way. I really dont know how you function and still do all you do. But inside you dint hate him, it just feels like that because if you really did you wouldn't go to the measures you do to help him. Its going on a long time and you're bound to crumble at some point. I really wish i could do something to help as i really feel for you. Would you feel comfortable saying these tgings to dh and maybe you might get a break?and then fingers really crossed for you that you get answers this week and something can be done xx

mlic don't feel bad for the way your feeling it seems you have been having to fight since w was born. Imo you've been shunted from pillar to post without the gp,hv or cons really doing anything. I know your dh doesnt help out but would he not if he knew how you were feeling? Surely getting help would be better than you going the way you have. I echo what the others say bout feeling for you, i wish we lived closer so we could help. Take care hun x

It's a bloody tough situation and then mixed in with sleep deprivation and the stress of keeping all the other plates spinning - I truly believe anyone in your position would feel like you do at the moment.

It's only human to not enjoy the total crapness of basically having to force someone to eat, over and over again, whilst feeling dog-tired and with the only hiatus from the force-feeding being to listen to that person moan and groan.

It's so unfair, you should be able to enjoy this time with him. Of course, once things improve, you'll start to feel about him the way you want to. As kk said, you're going crazy trying to help him and if it came down to it you'd do anything to protect him - because really you love him to bits.

You have nothing at all to feel bad about.

Let's hope this week can be a new beginning for you. Make sure you get some help from DH and whoever else you can. Please!

I think you're going to have to insist they examine W inside out at his appt this week (not that you need me to tell you that). They have to understand how extreme the situation is - and also the impact on you and your family. There must be something specific up with him to make him this grumpy - I really hope they do everything they can to figure out what it is.

Keep posting as much or as little as you want to. Please don't worry about 'going on too much'. I'm sure there will be times when all of us will find this place an outlet for keeping sane!

memphis83 · 31/10/2010 14:53

afternoon ladies
mlic, poor you hope things start improving for you soon, could you ask dh for help just for an hour or 2, so you could go for a walk or drive to clear your head a bit?i agree with stac its these shitty times that it would be good if we were all closer so we could actually help rather than word of support.
anyone heard from dh shes not been here in a few days?
we went swimming today, went out last night on our own, was lovely but we were home by 11 with a burger and kebab, but was lovely to be in bed knowing dh was home and that i wouldnt have to wake up for feed! dh bought me a lovely bath foam, shower , lotion and candle set from scotland and L a teddy, so once weve had tea i will be trying those out!

stac14 · 31/10/2010 15:04

mlic hope you keep coming on here hun when you can of course, we are all with you.

Hello hello!

sorry I havent posted, I have been reading the thread though so Im upto date.

mlic you sound like you're having a really tough time of it, I hope you get the help you need/deserve even if its just an hour or 2 so you can get some rest, its amazing how much a good sleep can do.

We have now got the cot in our room, hasnt made a difference to his sleep but he now has room to move about as he just looked too big in the moses basket. Hes waking up twice a night on avg, usually about 3am then about 6am then sleeps til 8ish but may be different now the clocks have gone back.

I hope everyone else is having a nice sun eve :)

nixster28 · 31/10/2010 19:54

Mlic I feel for you so much right now, I cant imagine how hard it must be for you all the trouble with W feeding and feeling you dh is not giving you enough support. Tell him to sort it out as you need a break. I sincerely hope that Wednesday is a break through day and they find some way towards a solution.

Memphis sounds like you had a lovely evening, I bet your glad dh is home now.

Stac I tried to speak to my brother yesterday and told him its not on for him to make racist jokes or remarks around me or Dreya and preferably not his kids and he kind of grunted and said could we have this argument when he?s had some sleep. They are struggling at the moment as baby is not sleeping although his wife (the perfect mother!) hasn?t even tried putting her in the moses basket yet she just lets her sleep on her as its easier for breastfeeding apparently. Hopefully his comments will stop but if they don?t then I?ll tell him what for.

cakes how's the chest infection?

Dreya did not get the memo about the clocks going back! She woke at 6.15(so 5.15!!!) She?s been fussy all day and cat napped on and off but never for very long. I cant really complain tho as she was still asleep by 6 after her bath. She?s been chewing her clothes all day and dribbling for england so I?m wondering if this is the start of teething

dh nice to hear from you. What you been up to?

mlic what terrible service, they shouldnt have offered to serve food.

Well i am carless for the next 2 days, waiting for my tax to come through as i bought it online, hopefully it comes soon. Rileigh is definately teething, her gums are all lumps, she's chewing everything, upset and slobbering everywhere. Got calgel for her as its gentler than bonjela which helps for a bit. Going to get an amber necklace for her. Jack having cluster headaches so we have the docs on tuesday. X

Not alot stac, going to baby groups, seeing friends and family.

I accidently let slip to my grandma that my sister is preg cos she didnt know. My sister is by far my grandma's favourite so she was dreading telling her (as it will be her 4th child by 3rd man) and I was talking about my wedding and accidently said 'X is due then' AHHH shit!

Not really doing much today, going to walk to my baby group today, will take about half an hour but thats not really much is it, Im so lazy!

memphis83 · 01/11/2010 08:35

morning everyone
hope everyone slept well, we had a bad night, thank goodness dh is off for 2 days, we kept him up late hoping he would sleep but he woke at 3.30 then 5.15, we are going shopping on the train as car is in the garage, dh is taking me for breakfast and he got a good wage this month so doing xmas shopping, wonder if he will treat me!! Grin then L got his jabs later!!
stac if you buy tax on line technically you have bought it so i thought you could still drive?
dh well you telling grandma takes pressure off your sis telling her so maybe youve done her a favour?

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/11/2010 09:06

Thats what I said to my sister when she text me saying "have you been shitting it?" haha.

Morning all! :) Hope everything is going well today for everyone.

Nixter, M didn't get the memo about the clocks either. But in her case that meant she fell asleep at 8:30pm and woke at 7am. Grin Going to try and replicate it tonight then inch it forwards of an evening during the week... Especially since in the morning she seems happy enough to lie awake in her cot and gaze around the room without making a fuss. Strange child!

Just got back from a shopping trip for 6-9 month vests and sleepsuits, as M seems to have shot up again in the last few days and grown out of all her 3-6 month ones. Hmm AIBU to dress her in jungle themed blue, orange and green sleepsuits technically designed for boys..? For girls the option was pink, pink, pink and more pink! Bleh...

I need to head out again later though, as apparently the Christmas edition of Prima is now out and I'm in it... Eek! I hope they chose at least a semi flattering picture. Confused

I'm glad things sound like they're going a bit better now, MLIC. :) Sorry I wasn't around yesterday to offer support, but you're definitely not the only one who has moments of 'Argh!' regarding the baby. I think things are getting easier as time goes on though, hopefully you'll find the same and the happy times will overtake the sad.

Anyone up to anything exciting this week? My week looks to be epically dull, though DH has promised to take me shopping for new pyjamas on Thursday, since my current ones consist mostly of holes. Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/11/2010 10:34

So the registry office has the date I want available (yay!) but DP has still not proposed, he said if they have the date free then to go ahead and book it but it all feels ridiculous as we're not technically engaged.
