morning ladies

mlic and memphis checked online, some say you can as you 5days grace others say no so not sure what to do

dh go for it cos then he knows he has to propose, why do men need to be pushed? Lol. You've been up to much more than me atm. The library were we go to bounce and rhyme is being refurbished.

spireal theres nothing wrong with putting boys stuff on M imo they are just pj's lol.

Well ds has went to school even with his headache as he has footy tonight. Dd was sick in her sleep last night luckily i was awake so we brought her into our bed she was sick again this morning and not really wanting to eat so just keeping an eye on her x

I text DP earlier telling him the date was free and he said to book it, so I said 'dont think this gets you out of proposing!' and then he said 'Im going to do it soon'
Grin yay!

nixster28 · 01/11/2010 20:15

Spirael I?ve given in to the everything pink thing a lot more than I wanted to but as the choices for girls are pretty limited otherwise I didn?t have much choice. I also dress D in blues, greens and red. What are you doing in Prima? Will have to look out for you.

Dh go ahead and plan the date. You want to get married and you have a child together so do the deed. I am possibly one of the most unromantic women I know so don?t go in for gestures much at all. Maybe if you book the date he?ll get on with it as at least then there?s a deadline.

Stac hope R is feeling better soon and J as well. Have you looked at what he?s eating as possible triggers for his headaches? I suffer from migraines if I eat cheese.

Tsc lol at frankies shat himself inside out nappies!! Are you not tempted to get disposables? Couldn?t deal with re-usables

viksam · 01/11/2010 20:40

Hi everyone,
Havent msg for ages. Had DH home last week so not had much time. Everythings good here, Devons getting over his first cold and me and dh havent been too good either but all feeling better now. D is waking every night for a feed though, any ideas how to get more down him at 10.30pm, he might sleep through if he'd have more than 3oz then!

stac I have voted, its a cute pic, let us know how she gets on.
DH I planned our wedding during a trip to Vegas so DH got out of proposing, i dont have an engagement ring either, we had no money at the time and now i have my grandmas diamond ring so my DH got off lightly really. I wasnt too bothered.

Im sorry i havent caught up with everyones news, it takes me way too long to read everyones posts this thread moves so fast!!

stac14 · 01/11/2010 20:50

thanks viks glad devons feeling better nothing worse than when they are all ill. DD was doing that but I try to make her take full bottle before bed think I am in for a crap night tonight though

hadnt thought of that nixster seeing the docs tomorrow so hopefully they will be able to help, R has been snoozing on and off all day so think she is defo unwell

Hey all,

meant to be doing my interior design homework whilst dh watches spooks so haven't got long to type much other than hello!

Oh and tsc F had really itchy sore cradle cap (along with everything else) and then went on to have baby eczema, which hopefully Frankie won't. We tried everything on his head including stuff from docs such as aveeno, the only thing that worked was Dream cream from Lush. Had all the same probs with the eczema and then eventually found this miracle cream called Pure Potion (you can get it online) so if the Dream Cream doesn't work then I'm almost certain the PP would. Both are cool for babies.

kkfairybrains · 01/11/2010 22:47

Stac hope rileigh gets better soon. Is ahe taking bottles?
Dh how exciting!! hope you get the proposal you want! hows dylan?
Tsc dont really know of anything for the cradle cap. Did you warm the olive oil a bit? maybe do this before he goes to bed then the next morning comb it out with a nit comb or fine comb or whatever its called. This is supposed to be good.
Spireal boots do lovely sleepsuits that aren't pink. Iys very annoying that everything is so pink! dp wanted to paint ellies room pink and do it all princess but i had to say no!! we might have no choice in a few years than to do her room pink so its time enough then!
She got her first christmas present today! one of them activity centers that they sit into and she loves it! never seen her as excited and happy! she went in a friends one last night and i told mum how much she loved it so she got it for her! Ellie doesnt know its not christmas anyway!
Started jogging this eve.....oh god its tough! im pretty sore after it and my sciatica seems to have came back today. Thought the jog might loosen it but its worse. Started the 'couch to 5k' programme and its hard but going to try to stick at it. Felt good after it this eve and really need to find an exersice i enjoy.

Woodlands · 01/11/2010 23:01

Morning all,

Before I had A, I was told that F might like to help with nappy changes etc and to get him involved as much as possible however I hadn't quite envisaged him being involved in breast-feeding. So far...

Felix has tried to bf the baby himself - he asked to hold A, put her in a bf position on her side and then offered 'Milk?'

Felix has tried to have some bm himself several times, he was nearly successful one morning last week when we were all in bed and I was laying back feeding A with my eyes closed and he leaned over and tried to bf from the other side.

This morning, my rights to privacy reached an all time low when he decided A looked hungry so he said 'Milk?' and rummaged to try and get my breast out for her Shock

And I've lost count of the times he's told perfect strangers that my boobs are milk Hmm

stac It is hard fitting the work in with everything else, particularly as i hadn't factored in any homework when i booked it Blush. I do very much enjoy it tho. Not sure what I'll do when this course ends as the next level starts straight afterwards but costs £500+, which is a lot to justify if I'm not yet sure about making a career change off the back of it. I love leaving DH to do their bedtimes on his own once a week tho Grin so i might have to pretend ive booked it and then go to the cinema once a week instead!

Quiet day here as F is in nursery for the day so its just A and I. Will pop into town later for coffee or lunch but otherwise catch up on chores here. I am SO sick of washing but even more sick of coughing.

tsc you have all of my sympathy re your washing machine. I do not know how you're coping, especially with everything else you're doing (eg babysitting another actual child! Shock). Your depositing of the shitty vests sounds a fine plan. Have you tried talking to the manager in Comet V V LOUDLY in front of other customers yet?

mlic how's it going? when is appt?

spirael did you already say why you're in prima? Dying to know so put me out of my misery asap please!

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/11/2010 08:33

Thanks everyone, Im booking the date today Grin June seems a long time away but it'll come round quick, I cant wait to go dress shopping!

stac I know you saw on facebook, not sure who else did but I cant believe I found a maggot in my birds eye peas! Its still sitting on my windowsill haha, they havent got back to me yet but am hoping they do something about it as I had to chuck the bag away and I still had half of them left.

kk Dylan is doing well thanks, he fell asleep yesterday at the baby group, I laid him on the floor and he slept for half an hour!

Dylan has a bit of cradle cap, I put baby oil on it in the bath every night and thats it, I find bits fall off every day so Im assuming it'll clear itself up eventually, its not very bad at all though.

Also I didnt tell you all, my baby group was almost cancelled yesterday because a member of staff has died :( she had pneumonia, she was only in her early 30s, its very sad.

Chulita · 02/11/2010 11:19

Right, back on mn after having the ILs round, hope that's that duty done for a while.

dh that's revolting! yeuch... and ooh! how exciting about your imminent proposal :)

memphis I reckon he was just testing the waters and when you said that he realised you weren't interested! Lol, poor bloke Grin

mlic I kind of know where you're coming from. Before I cut out dairy I was at the point several times when I just wanted S to go somewhere else. It was hard watching him scream all the time and not being able to do anything and just thinking that I didn't like him at all. Thankfully now he's a lot better in that he doesn't cry as much but the feeding's still an issue. I just spent 25 mins with him screaming the house down but not latching on. He's not fed since 5.30 so he must be hungry but he just wouldn't feed. I plonked him in bed in the end cos nothing I was doing helped and I was getting really wound up. The worst thing was that he latched on once and had 2 gulps and then DD fell off her table in her room and cried so it scared him and he unlatched and started screaming again. It's hard not to take it out on DD when she's just being little...

stac14 · 02/11/2010 11:27

so ho was the il's visit chulita?

dh your quite right, these things are meant to be properly checked. Hopefull you'l hear soon

mlic our DC1 were separated at birth (actually our DC2 as well by the sounds of it), DD started yelling 30 mins into her nap, went upstairs to find poo wiped all down her legs/arms. Stuck her in the shower to rinse her off, S starts crying when I've only just managed to calm him down after a 3 hour crying fest, finally scrub shit out from under DD's nails, whack her back in bed, come downstairs to find parcel we've waited in for all day arrived while I was playing in DD's poo Angry Only missed him by 5 mins but now I have to wait in tomorrow for it even though I need to get to town and I wanted to get to the bf support group to ask about this fucking agonizing nipple I still have. I just burst into tears - cos S was screaming again and I've just had enough today...days like this I wish I wasn't a SAHM, let someone else deal with it. (oh and DD's been unwell for a week now and just eats a yoghurt and raisins, very odd!)
