cake it was in Michoacan state, a little town called Jiquilpan, nowhere near the Yucatan!

tsc no idea about timing feeds, Sam gets it whenever he asks but he's not too demanding.

nixter can't believe Dreya's got a tooth already Shock

fairybrains hope Ellie's better today.

memphis you feeling any better?

House hunting was looooong and both kiddies gave up but the first house we saw I completely fell in love with. It needs a lot of doing up so we couldn't rent it out for ages but it's got so much potential and a lovely garden. I'm currently trying to get my head to rule my heart and it's not working!

nixster28 · 24/11/2010 20:29

Dreya will be 19 weeks on Saturday, can?t believe how quickly the time has gone. My friend came over yesterday afternoon with her LO who?s 1 in 2 weeks and she?s crawling all over the place but has no teeth yet! She kept asking why I?m not weaning yet but I?m thinking if Dreya?s not even taking a full 7oz feed then she?s not quite ready for food yet.

Kk hope the anti biotics kick in quick and E?s a bit brighter

memphis hope your feeling better soon what cold meds are you on? I?ve had beechams all in one liquid and now on tabs and still feel like shite!

Tsc Gina Ford is easier from what I?ve seen with formula fed babies. I follow it with a bit of baby whisperer thrown in i.e feed always at 2pm and then at 5pm I give her 5oz, bath & 2oz then bed at 6pm and she sleeps til 7.15

think we're just hitting the wonderful 4 month sleep regression - A has been more restless in the evening, waking lots for her dummy and then is sometimes waking up an extra time in the night (last night it was wind but it's unusual for anything to wake her once she gets into a proper sleep). F is firmly back in his bed again tho so at least i'm getting decent sleep in between her wakeups. He also sleeps much later in his own room - til 7.45am usually which i think is almost civilised.

ah yes Jiquilpan, know it well Grin

mlic that makes a lot of sense re the bubbles, think your plan sounds good.

my friend that i mentioned re the goats milk is getting the total runaround now - her baby was doing really well on the goats milk but she now has a new consultant who disagreed with using it and says to try oat milk, which is low in calories and vitamins Hmm and her baby has had green poo and lots of sick since using it. bloody doctors (probably a registrar actually....)

tsc it sounds as though you're doing all the right things and seeing some progress already. keeping everything crossed that some sanity comes your way soon!

CakeandRoses · 24/11/2010 22:43

oh and tsc the official definition of a dream feed is one instigated by you at a predetermined time not by the baby. That way you can legally say: 'Oh yes, s/he sleeps thru.*'

  • small print: with a dreamfeed Grin
CakeandRoses · 24/11/2010 22:45

anyone shop in newlook? i have a 20% off voucher that's been forwarded by an employee there. if anyone's interested i'll figure out how best to send it to you/load to fb.

Woodlands · 24/11/2010 22:52

have just been out for a lovely dinner with my NCT group (well, they would have been my group if i'd done NCT). i put james to bed before i left and he's still asleep now! hooray! plus i had 2.5 glasses of wine so am glad i didn't have to feed as soon as i got in... if he doesn't wake before i want to go to sleep i'll try a dreamfeed.

Wow loads of messages to read through.

Hope everyone is well.

Dd2 officially the worst sleeper ever. After a month or so of waking twice a night, last night she woke at 11, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Weirdly I seem to have got used to the sleep deprivation and don't even feel that tired. Though I'll be knackered by 8.

Anyone got snow?

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/11/2010 08:26

cakes ME! I SHOP IN NEW LOOK!! Except I bought £25 boots yesterday so would have been better then Grin
Seriously though I can always find something to buy in there, if you dont mind giving it away Ill gladly take it :)

Dylan is still waking roughly 4 times a night, he was a nightmare to get to sleep last night. He didnt go down properly til about 11ish and then only slept til 2ish.

stac have you got snow today??

whatshesaid thats alot of wakings, I think Ive got used to the sleep deprivation too, I also get very tired by about 9pm.

CakeandRoses · 25/11/2010 10:41

morning all,

no snow here (i'm assuming this as i haven't actually looked yet)!

we're off to baby rhyme at noon followed by lunch with a friend and her tot, followed by a lovely dental checkup. Then mucho expressing, sterilising and general tearing around getting sorted for evening class tonight. new project: kitchens, which as we've recently gone thru the pain of having ours done does not fill me with joy.

what are you all up to?

mlic i have a mummies night out to go to on the 8th and i'm already panicking about what to wear. you're brave leaving your dress-finding so late! hope you find something gorge!

Oh and F slept thru the whole night last night, unfortunately A now seems to have taken over as Key Sleep Disruptor for the household. I won't pretend it's anything like the horror that some of you guys face but still...

CakeandRoses · 25/11/2010 10:59

is anyone else on cerazette? today being 12 weeks since my 6 week check, I picked up a repeat prescription for it this morning but the chemistdidn't have any because apparently there is a manufacturing problem. I tracked some down at another chemist eventually but thought I would give people a heads up. See here for more details.

kkfairybrains · 25/11/2010 14:46

Treated myself to new boots today. Well actually 2 pairs because it was buy 1 pair and get another half price. They're both lovely but still cant find a nice grey winter coat anywhere! and it was mega cold today and white everywhere with frost so its time for one

Spirael · 25/11/2010 14:57

Afternoon all. :) Sorry, lost track of the thread a bit over the last few days, will try and catch up when I can!

Combination of being generally busy plus the unfortunate return of AF has kept me away lately. Holy cow the first few days of AF were bad, the books sure didn't warn me about that one!! At one point I was almost convinced I was in labour with M's undiagnosed twin, turning up four months late. Confused

Possibly TMI, but the bleeding was matching the levels after the birth and is still pretty heavy after five days, though it's eased a bit. Should I be worried about this? Hmm I normally have pretty heavy periods, but this one has really taken the cake. I'd been vaguely hoping the might get lighter after pregnancy!!

Anyway, I notice we're up to over 900 posts so here are some contenders for the next thread name... :)

July 2010: Our actions get dafter, all for the reward of giggles and laughter.

July 2010: The mess is obscene, now our mucky little eaters are starting to wean.

July 2010: Time to childproof the home, it won't be long now 'til they're starting to roam.

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/11/2010 16:01

spirael I like the second one Grin

We had messy play at the baby group today and dylan slid around in a load of baked beans! He loved it haha.
