stac, the monkey bread was gorgeous. The recipe said serves 8and I've basically eaten all of it. I've had a very fat weekend.

As if the dh/mother situation wasn't bad enough, I'm now in the middle of a.huge row.with my fathers girlfriend, codename trollface, over my dad's 50th (she's organised a party without consulting us kids and is now bitching that we can't make it) and has been lecturing my kid sister about what a bad daughter she is, which she absolutely doesn't have the right to do. I swear, my baby is the only member if my family not giving me problems.

When's routine is starting to take shape:
Around 6am, wake and feed, back to sleep around 6.30
9am wake, feed. Get up. I'll put her on Ned bean bag in the kitchen with me.
Around 11, feed, sleep,
Around 1pm, feed
2pm, we go out in the pram and she normally sleeps
4pm, get home, feed, back on the beanbag while I start dinner,
6pm, juggle feeding dh and dd
From about 6.30- 8 tummyache followed by giant poo explosion
8pm, feed
Around 9pm, bed.

That's approximately it anyway.

Needle · 26/09/2010 23:20

Gwen's routine, even.

CakeandRoses · 26/09/2010 23:40

she sleeps from 9pm til 6am?! Shock Envy

mind you, you probably deserve it given the rest of the buggers giving you grief!

remind me, how is old Gwen now? and are you bf or ff?

what's the ned bean bag (aside from the obvious)?

kkfairybrains · 26/09/2010 23:54

memphis yeah Im 5"8 so fairly tall, cant wait to go dress shopping, also my mum said my dad might even pay for it Grin

stac I hope so! He asked me yesterday "do people celebrate the anniversary of the engagement?" so he was prob thinking of a date in his head when to do it lol.
(I answered no btw!)

Dylan had a bit of a crazy eve last night, we gave him a bath (with me in the big bath) got him out first and wrapped him up in his towel, DP was drying him but he wasnt dry enough when he took the towel off and he got really cold and started screaming like Ive never heard him before, I wrapped him up with me in my dressing gown, fed him and he slowly warmed up and calmed down. DP was literally crying cos he felt so bad :(

He slept in our bed all night, waking a couple of times around 4 or 5am so not a bad night really :)

Hes got his jabs today! :( really not looking forward to them at all. Ive got the calpol at the ready!

CakeandRoses · 27/09/2010 10:37

Morning all.

V bad night here - both were up and down lots. This morning I said to DH that if ds wasn't due in nursery today then I'd see if I could send him anyway as I'd struggle to cope with him today after no sleep (that's the first time I've ever said that). And... then after he'd been in nursery half hour they said he'd projectile vomited everywhere and to come and get him...

He's back home now (having been sick a second time) and of course his energy levels are that of an olympic athlete, as per bloody usual. God, I am SO looking forward to the day ahead.

mlic how old is ds2? re: the sleeping thru thing, i've always consoled myself with the fact that at least ds has never been an early riser. He's also bloody ace (when he's not teething)!

Cake, that should have been "her beanbag", sorry! she's 9 weeks today, and yes, I'm bc.

KK, thank you! I knew what I wanted ever since I saw funny family aged 10! I was so lucky that dh was willing to pay for everything, because I was just out of university and had no money of my own at all, and my dad sure as hell wasn't going to stick his hand in his pocket. I had always intended to make my own dress, but I didn't want to take any risks when I found out about the baby, so j went to candy Anthony and let them make it. My first fitting, my waist was 26" by the wedding day it was 31". It was so depressing watching them let it out time and time again.

Needle · 27/09/2010 11:28

Urgh! BF. Stupid predictive text.

Afternoon all! :) Hope everything is going ok for everyone. Sorry to hear some of the LOs are sick, hopefully they'll be better soon! Just found out Mindy was exposed to shingles last week accidentally. Hope she doesn't pick up Chicken Pox!

Mindy has her next set of vaccinations on Thursday, DesperateHousewife. I'm really not looking forward to it! :( I know she'll be fine and it's better to have the vaccinations than the diseases, but still... I hate it when she cries in pain.

At least she calmed down quickly last time and was then as right as rain, didn't need any Calpol despite me hovering over her with spoon at the ready for the rest of the day!

How did Dylan get on with his vaccinations, if he's had them by now? Hopefully it wasn't too traumatic for either of you!

My trip down to my parents went fine over the weekend. :) On the way down we only had to stop once, after about 2.5 hours on the road. On the way back we had to stop twice in quick succession near the start of the journey, but then she was quiet until we were 10 miles from home. Wasn't worth stopping at that point so we got serenaded with her grizzly-hungry cry for a bit!

I had a lovely date out with my DH on Saturday evening. Grin Nothing too extravagant, just a delicious meal out in a restaurant I'd taken him for his first birthday after we'd gotten together.

My parents had no problems watching Mindy for us, and they even gave us some money towards our meal out. Shock I'm sure the babysitters aren't meant to pay?? Wink

As for routines... Mindy is 11 weeks + 5 days, mostly BF with occasional formula. We're going with feeding on demand, but an average day is: 7am wake + feed, 9am feed + 30 min nap, 10am express, 11am feed, 1pm feed + 30 min nap, 2:30pm feed, 4pm feed, 5:30pm-10pm feed continuously then bed.

She fell asleep at 9:30pm last night though and I was woken by my alarm clock this morning at 7:30am - first time I've been woken by my alarm for months! I was initially a bit worried, but as I was getting out of bed I heard Mindy sneeze over the baby monitor, so knew she was fine. Grin She didn't make another peep though and DH eventually went to get her out of bed at 8am.

So that was over 10 hours last night! Shock I guess she was tired out after all the travelling and having attention lavished upon her by her Grandparents and Uncle all weekend. :)

kkfairybrains · 27/09/2010 16:46

Thats great goin spireal! She done well with the travelling too.
Needles were you pregnant when you got married or did i pick that up wrong?? You'd never guess it! You looked fab!
Stac yeah we'v talked about getting married and its something we want to do in the next 3 years so he has an idea of when he wants to propose! So many people have been going on to us about it since we had ellie and it really pisses me off. We'l do it when we are ready and not because everyone else thinks we should.
Cakes poor you. How is ds now?
Dh how did the jabs go??its horrible seeing them scream!!
Tsc thats a brill weight!! hes definately thriving! Bet it makes you feel brill when your breastfeeding!
Not much to report here. Ellie started doing that really cute squeal thing today!! She just loves chatting to the toys on her bouncer! its so funny looking!
Wrt routine she just basically wakes about 9 or 10 and generally goes 4 hours between feeds all day.sometimes more sometimes less. Somedays she naps loads and others barely ever. We have her on 7oz bottles now and her last 2 bottles she normally takes 8oz. Can see me having start a spoonfeed soon. I know they say wait til at leaat 4 months but aurely if they need it you have to give it?? What does everyone else think? Definately dont want to give it before she really needs it though

Fab weight gain tsc and all your own work, chocolate salad defo a good diet lol

spireal glad you had a good time, seems mindy likes to travel and fantastic nights sleep x

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/09/2010 17:52

stac yeah I hope its soon, I really cant wait!

spirael he cried when it actually happened but soon calmed down after, I fed him and he got over it pretty quick. Hes been sleeping pretty much all day bless him. Ive got calpol at the ready, might give him some before bed.

What is a choc salad?? It sounds yummy!

Needle · 27/09/2010 18:27

KK, yeah, I was four months pregnant to the day when I got married, but I'd just finished a mega diet when I got pregnant, had just lost two stone and then put three on while I was pregnant. I'm just about back to where I started from now!
Stupid oven isn't working. three hours in and dinner still isn't cooked.

Chulita · 27/09/2010 19:02

Evening all!

dh hope it's soon too, I love a good wedding :)

spirael that's fantastic sleeping! I suppose the big difference is the amount of feeding she does during the day/evening. S isn't much of a feeder so I suppose he needs to then feed all night. I'd swap an evening of feeding for a full night's sleep any day. Glad you had a good time and that Mindy wasn't affected by it :)

cakes DD is 22 months and her routine is up at 7, brekkie, nap at 11-2ish, lunch, tea at 5ish, bed at 7 so Sam sort of fits in there. He feeds/sleeps at completely different times each day but when DD needs something doing, if he's not asleep he screams until she's sorted. I just can't get him into a routine at the mo until he starts feeding like he actually wants it. He's 9 wks and fully bf.

needle hope you got tea done. I did chicken stuffed with sausage wrapped in bacon with olive bread - I was going to do couscous but didn't in the end. I'm trying to eat the contents of the house before we move!

Last night in this house, we're in a hotel tomorrow night...Confused one room for DD, S and us...I'm actually going to go mad...

Chulita · 27/09/2010 19:04

Just sent DH off for wine and chocolate. DD threw up again last night at midnight and S was up from 4 onwards so I'm absolutely shattered but with them both in bed at the mo, I think we need some wind down time Grin
