New Fred. Apologies for dullness of title - we need curly for witticisms.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SilverSky · 18/10/2010 14:59

Bloody men!! Useless!! curls hope you gave him what bloody for!!!

CurlyCasper · 18/10/2010 15:07

he felt truly awful, silv. She screamed at him long enough that I didn't really have to say a thing. Still bring it up now and then though... Wink

SilverSky · 18/10/2010 16:07

I bet he was mortified and I bet he is extra careful with her round the car now. Thing is, and am sure you agree, men seem to have to cock up before they learn to be careful iyswim!

I too would enjoy reminding him of the incident as and when the need arises.

OkieCokie · 18/10/2010 20:54

Cunty plz to tell which natal hypnotheraphy cd you listed too? Was it effective birth prep for hospital/birth centre? Did you also listen to "relaxing birth music" all found on here by Maggie Howell?

CUNextTuesday · 18/10/2010 21:56

It was effective birth prep, yes, but not the music. Couldn't have done with any music in there to be honest!

AlpinePony · 19/10/2010 07:42

fanny Good luck with Clyde today - I hope it all goes OK! I'm in awe of your list-writing, I can "get" moving house at this stage (as rots did yesterday!) - but a 6 week holiday the other side of the world? Confused Not so much... I hope you leave the children with your husband for at LEAST 12 hours at some point so he can see what the fuck he's dragged you in to! Clyde has teef? Shock They're coming, aren't they!? Our little boys are all done grown-up!

I'm having total heebie-jeebies about the interview now. It's a great company and from what I can make out from "social-networking sites" the employees genuinely love working for them... but, I'm not sure they can afford me - which sounds really arrogant and wanky but... Confused Obviously they're a multi-billion dollar company and each and every one of you will own something made by them so it's not a case of cash... it's a case of corporate gits being tight-arses these days knowing that daft young 20-somethings will work for peanuts. But then daft young 20-somethings don't have my experience (or fanny tricks). Oh well... will find out more this afternoon I suppose. Because I've been working for the same people for 10 years I feel really "weak" wrt negotiating a decent salary - when I started here I was one of the best paid people but over the course of a decade my salary has been eroded by a number of factors. I checked glassdoor.com and at their US office, they do pay what I was thinking of asking for - cheeky? Pls to advise? Obviously they've got to want me first - so am getting a little ahead of myself.

AlpinePony · 19/10/2010 08:42

Soooo... in an adult manner I ignored the suit "situation" for a couple of days undecided as to whether to go out and sink quids in to a new pair of arse-fitting trousers or whether to cobble together a "smart" but not quite matching outfit. Have just tried on the suit again and it "goes on" which is better than "not at all"! Grin I will have to do the drive with the trousers undone and sit down carefully once there... Wink I know everyone has been busy lighting candles for extreme, but thank you for all of you who lit a tealight for my arse! Grin

Right ladies - body issues: I thought my nips were going to be permanently massive and I meant to say quite a few weeks ago - they have returned to a normal shape & size which tbh I was not expecting but it's welcome.

boxer/fanny Have you noticed any difference in behaviour with your boys compared to the girls? I ask because when my mum was over she reckoned that Bear was a real little boy the way he watches motorbikes/cars/trucks with utter adoration and she felt this was completely different to her two girls. Is it a boy thing?

CurlyCasper · 19/10/2010 09:40

Nips back to normal
Hair coming out in clumps
Skin back to awful
Daughter fascinated by both motorsport and Strictly.

And these [hgrin] [hshock] are back.

Good luck alpsarse. Just ask for what you want, Otherwise it's not worth it.

And good luck again to fannylistastic for the jabs. My girl is in a really good mood right now. Poor soul does not know what's coming Sad

Cosmosis · 19/10/2010 10:17

FP, do we have time for a meet before you sod off to the other side of the world and country or are you too busy drowning in lists??

Artie got weighed yesterday, 9lb 14 :) Clever boy! And thanks to infacol, his wind is no longer trapped and he is a much happier baby.

In not such good news, Wellie it seems is not stressed, the vet thinks he has lymphoma. He had some blood tests and fluid from one of his lymph nodes yesterday so we may well find out today - if they are inconclusive he will have to have one of the nodes removed for testing. if he does have it he will probably have to be put down as apparently chemo does not work so well on cats over 10, which he is. Can't bear to think about it.

Alpie, good luck for interview and ask for what you want, don't start too low!!

FannyPriceless · 19/10/2010 13:30

cos So sorry about Welly. We nursed my 13 year old moggie through similar trauma so I know how hard this can be. I would love to meet up but my dairy is packed with mental stressed out stuff. Would much rather see you than, er, get a much overdue smear test.Sad

curls Clyde's jabs went fine and he is now fast asleep in his cot!Smile Not sure how long I've got (so first priority is MN of courseHmm).

alps well done on the suit-arse-squeezing success. Good luck with the money. I wish I had the confidence of some of the wanky useless men I have interviewed over the years. When I was ttc and tried three times to resign from my CEO job, eventually the board said, OK but you have to find your replacement first. It took nearly 6 months and we ended up having to pay someone with less experience than me way more money than I was getting. Why? Because apparently a man won't do the job for what we were paying me.Angry

Oh and 'fanny tricks'?Confused Please don't tell me you are taking ping pong balls to the interview.

alps Bonnie is insanely obsessed with tractors, and doesn't like wearing dresses. What your mum describes is not 'a boy thing', it's a generational gender-expectation self-fulfillment thing.

The good thing with Clyde's teeth appearance is that this happened without too much fuss on his part. Hopefully this means we won't have the two years of fussing and wailing that Bonnie blessed us with.Wink

rollerbaby · 19/10/2010 14:23

Cossie so so sorry to hear about your cat. That is shit. I hope it's not what they think and he makes a good recovery. It's awful to see them ill. x

Alpro lovely news about your arse/suit. No fast moves now... Grin

Curly I see your daughter has the TV taste of a 50 year old man. This is not good.

I have now had 3 cramps in last 30 minutes. Ummm. Could it be the fact I just had lunch and also took all supplements at once?

OkieCokie · 19/10/2010 14:31

Ta Cunty I have ordered it. I have been successfully listening to hippo cd and it does a great job of putting me to sleep. I reckon a bit of variety may help with getting some of it to stick.

SilverSky · 19/10/2010 15:21

moo is having a baybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

rollerbaby · 19/10/2010 15:56

Definitely a couple of crampy feelings more since last post. Nothing very much though. Hum ho. Could be like this for weeks anyway according to other people...

CurlyCasper · 19/10/2010 16:02

Damn, who had their money on moo laying Tues or Weds? Sound like happenings honey. I think cramps can go on for weeks, but perhaps not with such frequency. Whatever happens, it sounds like your uterus is toning up to cooperate well when the time comes. You might yet get a peaceful sneeze Smile. PLease to keep us posted.

Same goes for you silver.

cossie So sorry to hear about your cat. As one who loves animals as much (if not more than) people, I really feel for you. Hope the outcome is positive

FP please to not be mentioning overdue smears. I was supposed to book both that and a tooth filling in July Blush.
Jabs went ok. She screamed hard enough to give herself tiny blood blisters across one cheek, but then took some milk and giggled at me in the waiting room. Slept for 40 mins, and is now swaddled at my side after eating some more. Fingers crossed for a quiet night for our two families. (and the non-jabbed too).

SilverSky · 19/10/2010 16:06

cossie as you prob have guessed I loves me animalz. All our lot have our paws and hooves crossed that Welly is ok. I hate it when the furries are sick.

FannyPriceless · 19/10/2010 16:38

Yay for impending arrivals of silvermoo baybees.Smile

curls My smear test is 3 years overdue.Blush I failed to book one in between the pregnancies. V bad as I have previously had CIN 2. But everything is fine!

Glad minicurls is doing ok. Clyde woke up making high-pitched distress signal squeals but is now feeding like his usual self. Hope he'll be OK as MrP is off tomorrow morning to Budapest for urgent serious dental work for two days. Aaarrrrgh! Confused

FannyPriceless · 19/10/2010 16:41

rots How has the house move gone? Any tips?

CurlyCasper · 19/10/2010 16:55

I'm going to have to slap your wrists FP, because I am a former CIN 2 patient myself, so I know you should have been back! I was due just as I got diffed. Should be back to annuals rather than 6 monthly though. Must make that appointment.
And You Will Cope. Smile

CUNextTuesday · 19/10/2010 17:24

Go Moo!!! Remember, 3 in 10 and it's away to the hossie widja Grin

CUNextTuesday · 19/10/2010 17:27

BTW I just wanted to say to curly that I love her very much. That swaddling shiz is the biz. The naps may not be long yet, but the settling down to sleep is nigh-on cracked (approx 5 mins resistance before zeds kick in. He's now been asleep IN HIS COT, IN THE DAYTIME, for 40 mins, with one period of 5 mins when he was rocked, sung and shushed back to sleep.

I count that as a success and I have you to thank. I feel like sending you a present Grin

CurlyCasper · 19/10/2010 18:35

awwww cunty, hearing that mushy shiz from a DHB such as you is gift enough. Grin 40 mins is a damn good start IMO. We weren't getting more than about 20 until this past week or so. And I can't shove her up in her cot unless i'm pottering nearby.

Mind you, these jabs have fair knocked her out. I have a feeling this will come back to bite me in the middle of the night Hmm

rollerbaby · 19/10/2010 19:15

Yay to swaddling!

Boo to lack of anyfink in me ute. Twingey but nothing really happening again. Hum ho.

Busy trying not to think about it! Confused

CUNextTuesday · 19/10/2010 19:16

So these fabled babies that have 2 hour naps three times a day? Myth?

Backinthebox · 19/10/2010 19:20

Hello - haven't been around for days - DS is having a growth spurt. Big Baby + growth spurt = 24hr a day feeding! (Reminisces about DS weighing only 9lb 14.... DD was like a little pixie, and DS is already like a front row prop!) And what goes in must come out. Today I cleaned him up after a poo which was so voluminous it came not only out of his vest neck hole but down his long sleeves too. OH was so lucky to have been out at work, I tell you!

Ski good luck with job interview. I can't advise on money - we have have a very strict pay scale at work and everyone is paid according to that, whether male or female. I'm very lucky there.

As for the girl/boy thing. DD often goes to school in a Thomas the Tank Engine outfit with her Lightning McQueen lunch bag, and loves Roary the Racing Car. But she also loves pink and poniez. I am trying to steer her away from all things Barbie and Disney Princess related.

Cos hope the moggie is OK.

And to the smear avoiders! Get on out there. Everyone's seen your chuff now anyway - what are you all being coy about?

Finally - how exciting! More babies. Hurry up!
