Tweakey - you know it was my pleasure - I'm glad it help DH realise he is having a DD:)

tweakers · 13/08/2010 10:29

more than him having a DD...that we're actually having a baby. i'll be amazed if priorities aren't sorted over next few days...

loti DS isn't behaving either. just been nosing at your fb photos, DD2 looked like she had fun! don't they look alike!!

QueenofDreams · 13/08/2010 10:31

Morning all.

tweaky remember to get the pool up! GrinWink

Have meetup envy. Enjoy your day ladies.
Also happy birthday to longboy and littlestred.

I'm supposed to be taking DS to toddler gym this morning but I'm too damn tired so we're going to stay at home instead. He's having fun playing with his shoes. Made my first ever chocolate brownies yesterday. They're not bad, but very very rich indeed. Think I might lie down and rest here on the couch while he plays.

luckoftheirish · 13/08/2010 10:37

Tweaky they are like two peas in a pod now!!!

I am up for meet next tuesday hopefully!!!

dizzydixies · 13/08/2010 10:52

Can someone please tell my why my fecking nervous breakdown had to happen enroute to this meeting. I can't stop fucking crying about mum & Gabriel and this woman is going to think I'm a loon. My cakes had better be fecking good!!!!

tweakers · 13/08/2010 10:57

right dizz, take a short breath in (counting to 4) and then breathe out to the count of 8

tweakers · 13/08/2010 10:58

phone me if a quick chat would help..

TwilightSurfer · 13/08/2010 11:14

I keep laughing at Tweaks's posts saying the baby is moving too much so things won't happen. She's gonna MOVE to get her self out.Grin

Get the POOL READY!!! Grin

Dizzy
(((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))))))

OP posts:
tweakers · 13/08/2010 11:31

i know that TS!! from my (humble) experience i am expecting her to go quiet when the time is near. DS only moved/kicked in the last few days if he was forced to ie by me proding him or if mw was using the doppler (he'd move away from it!)

but yes... DS is destroying more of his room napping so i am currently trying to work out how the hell this pool works! i've got it out the box at least!

CaptainCaveman · 13/08/2010 12:43

((((((((DIZZY))))))) the best advice I ever got when having a 'breakdown' moment/minute/hour/day etc was to 'just breathe'. Focus purely on your breathing for 5 minutes and hopefully you'll feel a little calmer, if not, carry on with focussing on your breathing. Wish I lived nearer Sad.

YAY loti glad you are coming too.

Cyteen my conservatory is LUSH Grin

thanks guys, apologies for minor meltdown Blush the place where I was today is where mum and dad used to stop every time they came to visit (she couldn't manage the whole journey in one go) and it was strange being there - I've been there loads since so I don't know what today was all about Blush

Cece - thank you - I did attempt to just breathe but got p*ssed off when twat DIL of my aunt pointed out I'd spelt it wrong on FB Hmm

QofD - well done on the brownies Smile

spring - I sodding hope not ,all my baking is by trial and error so lordy help anyone who needs advice Grin

Tweakers - one day at a time now darling, won't be long!

Oops - are you really going to number 3 ShockGrinEnvy lovely Smile

hello all else! meeting went very well and I'm now supplying an award winning food hall !! Thank feck I don't need to sleep [meep]

oopsandbabycoconuts · 13/08/2010 14:12

Dizzy - No not number 3 - DD2's company will be Pea :) You have to have sex to have another and that is just not on my agenda at the moment!

dizzydixies · 13/08/2010 14:24

Grin was getting all excited there for a minute!

QueenofDreams · 13/08/2010 15:57

thanks dizzy hope you're feeling calmer now!

OMFG I am about to turn into shouty mum. S just being the worst fecking misery. Screaming crying moaning over EVERY tiny little thing. He's been like it all bloody day. AIBU to want to just stick him in his cot so I get 10 minutes peace? THe sound is driving me insane now.

TwilightSurfer · 13/08/2010 16:46

Queenie I have stood in your shoes (or bare feet). By chance have you had a break for S in the last week? I find the fussing much more tolerable if I've had a break AWAY from my children. Even if only an hour, in another location. That's why I leave on Sunday's to do pilates and shop and basically wander aimlessly. (((hug)))

CaptainCaveman · 13/08/2010 17:57

Girls, be very impressed coz I've just made gingerbread men with the boys, And they taste good!! Shock

queenie sorry to hear of your tether being worn out, can dp give you a break for a little while, this evening or tomorrow? Do something like TS suggests and wonder round aimlessly, enjoying the freedom!

QueenofDreams · 13/08/2010 18:05

THanks TS and CC DP doesn't get back till after S has gone to bed! Might try and go for a little walk tomorrow. I do get a lie in one day each weekend as well, but thats about it atm. He has thankfully perked up a bit now.

Very impressed at the gingerbread men cc!

TwilightSurfer · 13/08/2010 19:13

Queenie a lie in is great but I require myself to EXIT our home and go far far (well not really far) away from my motherhood responsibilities. Being a mother is wonderful but it's also work and by law you are suppose to be allowed breaks and vacations from WORK.Wink

Where's the Tweakster? Hmm

Leaving shortly to go try a different approach time for school pick up. Today I will not be late but I am NOT sitting in the boxed in traffic jam that is the school's parking lot.

OP posts:
tweakers · 13/08/2010 19:49

you called? Grin

don't worry, you lot will be the first to hear if anything happens! if i can't get to the computer, i'll send a text to one of you Smile

DH doing bed tonight, its only fair given that he's spent the last hour getting DS really excited!

birth pool is inflated, should have done it days ago because it has kept DS entertained all afternoon! its huge though!!!

Pea news: no change! She's still really wriggling, had hiccups for ages earlier. Hmm actually, this evening has been quieter so far with a few braxtons Hmm

qod agree with TS, get yourself out the house on your own, even if just for an hour for a coffee...decaf of course Wink

TS good luck with the pickup!

cc how funny! i found my old inherited recipe for gingerbread today and was just thinking i hadn't made them in ages!

FoghornLeghorn · 13/08/2010 19:52

Ladies I am trying desperately hard to catch up but am struggling, you all talk far too much Grin

Can I get a quick de-brief if everything since baby Oooops arrived ?

longwayfromhome · 13/08/2010 20:46

Thank you for the wishes, we had a lovely day, with family and a couple of friends. Missing DH, but we did get to play in a big wet sand pit, so all good.

DS's four favourite things

  1. My sister's cat (si, si miaow)
  2. Lincoln cathedral (ese? Wow!)
  3. Driving my parents car (si, si auto? shoes, auto)
  4. Lifts (a soo soo/ascensor)

PS FogLeg, lovely to see you, briefly, dizzy has set up a cake empire and miamla changed her name to tweakers and is now in labour. Otherwise, no news to speak of.

longwayfromhome · 13/08/2010 20:47

PPS pertelote fab. I will post when I am down in London. We have really enjoyed Coram's field the couple of visits we have made to London this time.
