Why did he resign before the Tory-Lib Dem was final, despite being asked by both of them, in the interests of the country, to wait?

He will go down in history as one of our very worst Prime Ministers.

Because it has already been decided I would say.

policywonk · 11/05/2010 19:51

If Gordon Brown were to jump off a cliff, I bet you'd stand at the bottom giving him 1/10 for artistic impression

cornsillkwearsclogs · 11/05/2010 19:51

Ditto riven. Trot on OP and leave the man alone.

IsItMeOr · 11/05/2010 19:51

Why do people assume these things are to do with petty things like spite, just because they don't like that party? Projecting, much?

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 11/05/2010 19:52

You do know what spite means, don't you OP?

waitingforbedtime · 11/05/2010 19:53

Oh for God sake, give the guy a break.

Xenia · 11/05/2010 19:53

It's all going pretty well.

kittywise · 11/05/2010 19:53

Gordon Brown is a thief, thank God he's gone. Terrible man, terrible polices. Good riddance.

Batteryhuman · 11/05/2010 19:53

What a very silly OP

CrosswordGeekWantsChange · 11/05/2010 19:54

See ya later Gordo!

Thank the lord you are gone.

animula · 11/05/2010 19:55
  1. Infantile language - again.
  1. Weren't you one of the "squatter" persons? What do you want?
SkipHopJump · 11/05/2010 19:56

Poor Gordie! I think it was very dignified.

weblette · 11/05/2010 19:56

If you're looking for terrible policies kittywise you'll have plenty to keep you entertained when the next lot come in...

loonyrationalist · 11/05/2010 19:56

FGS. Just wait & see what your beloved DC makes of the job. I have my fingers over my eyes already, I'm not sure I can bear the car crash politics that the conservatives are going to create.

Callisto · 11/05/2010 19:57

I wouldn't put anything past old GB. He has played the political game for 13 years and is just as Machiavellian as Mandy. He probably did do it just at this moment through spite, or possibly for one last moment in the spotlight. Thank the Lord above he is old news now.
