You silly, silly women.

Don't you know any better?

Prescott and Blunkett had proper affairs not creepy toe sucking stuff like David Mellor or just plain creepy like Edwina and who was it agin? Oh yes THE PRIME MINISTER

That war thing was unfortunate though. But are you saying that the tory party wouldn't involve us in unnecessary conflict?

ahundredtimes · 30/04/2010 20:25

You're so right I'm taking you for a grocer's daughter

disclaimer: am sure most grocer's daughter's charming and not climate change deniers at all

Oh, oh, but he should go and hug a polar bear. he really should.

Northernlurker · 30/04/2010 20:31

Mrs T's father used to bore for Britain at my mum's school. He was the Chairman of Governors and made a speech EVERY speech day.

Fast forward 40 years and the school built a new hall which they got Maggie to open so they had to call it the Roberts Hall in memory of said boring buffer.

Just in case anyone was in need of any random, dull nuggets of non-information

atlantis · 30/04/2010 20:32

"That war thing was unfortunate though. But are you saying that the tory party wouldn't involve us in unnecessary conflict? "

Firstly there's nothing wrong with having your toes sucked, it shows a willingness to diversify and they say cleanliness is next to godliness

I'm sure the Tory party would not lower themselves to the position of having their nose shoved up the back passage of a redneck president hell bent on global (oil) domination

As for the Falkland's war, this I can assure you had nothing at all to do with the billions of barrels of oil that lay under the seas around one of our most soverign isles and more to do with giving the (argies a good thumping) argentinian dictatorship a lesson in manners for daring to invade with military mite I may add British soil.
But.., with reference to the billions of barrels of oil said to be under the seas there, talk about foresight, do we need it or what.?

foxinsocks · 30/04/2010 20:33

do you know why the Tories mysteriously abandoned the marriage ideas they had? they looked around their potential front bench and realised that they may get themselves in trouble

no-one does shagging scandals like the Tories. They are magnificent at them. It's all the stiff upper lip pent up frustration .

northern, they supported the war (the tories).

I am still stuck on hairless dave. I am sure Gordon is full on hairy. I'm not sure about Clegg though. I reckon he'd fashion enough to keep both non hair and hair loving peeps happy. The lib dem way (i.e. no way).

ahundredtimes · 30/04/2010 20:34

Nope, most of the oil seems to be on top of the sea at the moment in a vast scary slick

Talking of vast scary slicks -

Lord Cecil Parkinson

lest we forget

Yes if we don't burn all the oil how else will we kill off all the polar bears and save Dave the wuss from their furry embrace?

I mean seriously - come on! Sam and her handbag will have more impact on international affairs than him!

atlantis · 30/04/2010 20:36

"disclaimer: am sure most grocer's daughter's charming and not climate change deniers at all "

There is nothing to deny, the climate is changing as it has done for, well, since the big bang, I hear from NASA that Pluto is warming up also, will someone please tell me why GB has been sending all of our carbon emissions to that planet? , it's really not nice of him.

ahundredtimes · 30/04/2010 20:37

I was going off right now to put a polar bear in a hoody - a bait if you like, a lure

"Talking of vast scary slicks -

Well that's not playing fair is it, -

Lord Peter Mandelson.

ahundredtimes · 30/04/2010 20:38

Gah!

Northernlurker · 30/04/2010 20:39

You've already played Mandelson and we CRUSHED you. You can't play the same card twice

Women, know your limits. Please view this recent campaign clip from the Tories.

Random, dull nuggets of information I have. Popped round to my Grandma's for a cup of tea and dissection of her bunions (non-literal) once and Edwina Curry was perched in her kitchen sympathising with my Grandma's 'lady problems'.

"Yes MrsSOH'sGrandma, haven't we all had downstairs problems at one point or another?".

Yes dear but in retrospect ours weren't grey, bespectacled PMs.

atlantis · 30/04/2010 20:41

"Yes if we don't burn all the oil how else will we kill off all the polar bears and save Dave the wuss from their furry embrace?"

But see , you've been mislead, the polar bears aren't dying (well except from natural causes and natures preditors and yes the ones who are stupid enough to climb on a ice cube and wave goodbye to land )they have increased in numbers more than ever before and that is in part thanks to our Dave Cameron who went down there and gave them a very inspirational speech on the dangers of setting sail on ice cubes.

Dave saved the polar bears.

ShowOfHands · 30/04/2010 20:42

Currie

Tsk.

atlantis · 30/04/2010 20:42

"You've already played Mandelson and we CRUSHED you. You can't play the same card twice "

Yes I can because he's soooo two faced.

Habbibu · 30/04/2010 20:43

I always thought they were standing on Fox's Glacier mints.

What predates on polar bears? Apart from D Cameron and his big huggy arms?

Habbibu · 30/04/2010 20:44

SOH - Ewwwww.

foxinsocks · 30/04/2010 20:44

Boris is going to be given super powers. He really is. Was headline tonight. Cameron wants to make him a super mayor. I could not get the vision of him dressed in a superman's outfit, with the hair waving in the wind, out of my head the whole way home .

colditz · 30/04/2010 20:45

ShowOfHands, I just spat water all over my screen

WebDude · 30/04/2010 20:45

"you could only be labour on here"

Well, I think there are a fair number of vociferous posters from all three of the major parties, and a smaller number (perhaps in proportion!) from the "others" (though BNP get quite a lot of knocks {great fun listening to Nick Griffin on Radio 4 Election Call on the news around 1:25pm, being asked by a caller "how many generations would it take before you'd accept my family?" and being put on a spot about their manifesto inaccuracies}, and even UKIP support has been low to zero from what I've seen)

Been interested to hear the other parties getting some comments heard via radio (and in some cases agreeing with the "big 3", too, eg on Trident being scrapped or an amnesty for a portion of illegal immigrants).
