"I am involved with my local Liberal Democraty party and I have done a lot of canvassing in the past few weeks. I spoke to one bloke who said "I ain;t voiting for the Lib Dems, because it's a wasted vote". I asked him who he was voting for and he said "UKIP". I tried v hard not to laugh at him."
The bloke makes sense. Voting for any one of the mainstream parties is a waste of time because hardly anything will change. We are ruled by Brussels. You might as well not bother to vote at all.
"Our local UKIP bloike is a nut job. He is currently polluting driving round Bath in an old car from the 20s."
A nut job? What about the entire Liberal Democrat party who make the most nutty and unrealistic statements on the European Union. Like, Liberal Democrats will "Replace the Common Agricultural Policy with a new policy that strengthens agriculture ensures fair trade for farmers and delivers sustainable development of the countryside."
And their campaign to have the Strasbourg parliament scrapped. Shame they supported the Lisbon Treaty which reaffirms the rights of the City to have the parliament meet their 12 times a year. The carbon emissions from those little jaunts dwarf any old classic car's.
They might as well say the tooth fairy is on her way!
"I amd liking UKIP atm, purely on the basis that they have caused the first split in the right for years and they are taking votes from the Tories (who are the biggest threat to our vg sitting LD MP)"
They also take votes from other parties. Patriotism and wanting the country to be free to set its own laws is not the sole preserve of the right. Don't get complacent.
