UKIP want us out of the EU, I love Europe can't stand the EU.We pay 40 million a day to them
1)72% of our laws are now made in Brussells, from fuel taxes, farming, fishing and immigration.
2)We pay £40 million a day to be in the EU.
3)The Two richest countries in Europe-Norway and Switzerland are not even in the EU.
4)Under labour we now have 3.5 million extra people living in this country. We need proper border controls. Nick Cleggs policy is to count people in and out of the country, and force them to work in 'regions' totally unworkable. UKIP would keep our proud tradition of helping genuine asylum seekers.
5)UKIP does not appear to be anti-christian as do the other parties. The labour parties spin doctor Alistair Campbell said they "don't do God!" I do.
6)UKIP believes in holding referendums for the electorate on key local and international issues. I like this.
7)Crime is now out of contol, UKIP would build more prisons. Last but not least, Lord Pearson (leader) is 'posh' and does not try to hide it.

at Crystal deciding to become, of all things, an immigrant

ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 10:37

Where will you emigrate to crystal?

Nowhere in the EU I take it.

Um, so, where have you set your sights on? Do you qualify on the Australian points system for instance?

ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 10:39

Can you let us know exactly what you'll be able to offer your new country of choice?

Lulumaam · 25/04/2010 11:09

crystal, Daftpunk is a woman, a mother of 4 and definitely not a man

Lulumaam · 25/04/2010 11:10

so ironic when people who are anti immigration want to emigrate

crystal123 · 25/04/2010 11:18

hundredtimes. yes I do qualify for either New Zealand or Australia, and so does dh. My family and I will take out our decent hard working ways (thats, what 'they' want) and contribute to any country, instead of as is the case in this country, many taking out not and putting nil back. I have been to Australia and New Zealand and loved them both, particularly the laid back Aussie culture. The Aussies having lunch outside at 12pm from work, and still there at 2pm, great! Other great benefits for me and them if we go there. (Must write about UKIPs immigration policy, and if mass immigaration is not stopped, why the BNP will be a forced to be reckoned with, in this country). Then it really will be 'time to leave' for me and you!Nick Clegg and his party, contribute to the social unrest by wanting to give an amnesty to over 1 million illegals, they can then bring in their familes and even if they brought only one person each (unlikely) the numbers will reach 2 million, and hey, ho we have millions to to house, feed, use nhs, educate. Mind you even Clegg cannot stop another 8 countries wishing to join EU, Moldovia, Albania, including Turkey pop.70.
million. Even if only a fraction of those countries people wish to come here, the number will be in the millions, EU was 6 countries, then 15, now 28 and counting....

crystal123 · 25/04/2010 11:21

Hundredtimes> You are quite right, I will become an immigrant, I will be out of this! and at least I won't be an 'immigrant' in my own country!

OP posts:
crystal123 · 25/04/2010 11:24

Lulumamm. Where does DP say that? I've not been concentrating.

OP posts:
crystal123 · 25/04/2010 11:26

Lulumamm.'So ironic' What a daft post, it's because there is mass immigration, that so many have emigrated, among other reasons.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 11:47

It's not that daft when you think about.

If you do go to Australia, I hope you'll be happy. That you will feel welcome, and able to build a new life for yourselves there. I hope that you will feel happier being an immigrant in Australia.

DP's been around for ages crystal. Not an newbie election bod. She could or could not be a man, she has certainly said she's not.

crystal123 · 25/04/2010 11:56

hundredtimes. DP. Must apologise to her and invite her out for a drink! Oh by the way to you all, UKIP is against mass immigration and not immmigration that benefits the country, all the parties now say that (apart from Libdems) they are now against mass immigration, but have failed to do anything about it.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 11:57

I hope that the people in your new country do not make knee-jerk assumptions about you, that they understand that you are working hard and trying to contribute. That you are not made to feel like an outsider or unwanted because you were weren't born in Australia. I hope that the citizens of your new country extend towards you tolerance and understanding and generosity.

I wish all these things for you.

Lulumaam · 25/04/2010 12:04

amen to that hundredtimes.

crystal123 · 25/04/2010 12:13

hundredtimes. You miss the point, myself and dh have the skills, clean bill health etc, m that these countries want, and they only give you a visa when you fit those requirements. My dh has been asked to go many times to said countries. Unfortunatley for thousand of others, whose skill may be 'sweeping floors' they are not on the 'wanted list' unlike here, work for five years as cleaner/gaurd/etc then apply for extended leave of stay, then bring in rest of family. ( I apologise to cleaners and security gaurds, nothing personal) Immigrations is NOT all bad we have some excellent Doctors'
Nurses, and skilled people, but mass immigration on the scale that this country has seen is not good for us, or for the immigrants already here, for reasons I have quite clearly pointed out before.I would have gone before , but felt that this great coountry was worth fighting for!

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 12:22

Oh yes, I do see that. What I'm hoping though is that you don't get tarred by some anti-english, anti-foreigner brush which people might distribute widely and with ignorance and not specifically at all.

it'd be so frustrating wouldn't it?

You'd be thinking, excuse me, I'm a nurse or I'm a cleaner. I'm doing a job here, I'm trying my best to get a better life for me and my children. I mean you no harm!

Because there will be some people - there always are - who go to Australia thinking it's a doss, an easy life, they want to drink beer and sponge off the state. They want the Quality of Life.

And how awful if people thought you were like that too? Just because you were english.

It wouldn't be fair.

crystal123 · 25/04/2010 12:27

Sorry , 'country' but you lot do make me answer so many threads! i have nothing personal against immigrants, good luck to them if they want to come here. I don't blame immigrants. Some of my family are 'immmigrants'. but the time comes, when enough is enough. We just can't accomodate so many people. I blame the Labour party and others who wanted to create a multi-racial soceity so that they could obtain votes, (and most immigrants vote labour) certainly Jack Straw and Tony Blair did that, Peter Oberon writes about it, in his book 'The rise of political lying' The book explored this area long before it was made public in the newspapers.

OP posts:
crystal123 · 25/04/2010 12:34

hundredtimes. I might want to go to any country in the world to better myself, say if I was socially disadvanged, but unfortunately as I say 'I would not be wanted' so why should these countries take me in? Are they charities? Why should other countries take me in, just because I want a better life? Why should the people of that country pay for me to have a better life. Most countries have a points based system for immigration and there is a reason. They don't just want 'anyone' turning up on there doorstep!

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 12:41

I think there needs to be a sensible, balanced conversation about immigration too crystal. And I think in some communities the impact has been huge, v. quick and sudden and difficult to understand. It'd be silly to ignore that.

I don't look to UKIP to have the balanced conversation though.

I don't think all immigrants to this country are looking for charity. I expect some are, but not all.

Just as when you go to Australia, you're not looking to laze about all day. Some people will be - it's the law of averages - but not all.

I don't find UKIPs stand on how to go forward particularly helpful.

ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 12:49

And you must think immigration bad, just a bit, if you blame the labour party for building a multi-racial society.

I'm not opposed to a multi-racial society. We live in one. It's called the world.

You might be though. I haven't read the Oberon book - is he the ex spectator guy? I'll go google.

Mind you, I'm pretty sure we'd all agree that the Labour party didn't create lying.

Lilyladles · 25/04/2010 12:56

The Labour party didn't create the multi-racial society either. It was created by all three major parties and a lot of other agencies and quangos.

ahundredtimes · 25/04/2010 13:01

What errant nonsense lily!

SheikYerbouti · 25/04/2010 13:14

I haven't read the thread properly, butnit reminded me of mothing that made le PMSL the other day.

I am involved with my local Liberal Democraty party and I have done a lot of canvassing in the past few weeks. I spoke to one bloke who said "I ain;t voiting for the Lib Dems, because it's a wasted vote". I asked him who he was voting for and he said "UKIP". I tried v hard not to laugh at him.

Our local UKIP bloike is a nut job. He is currently polluting driving round Bath in an old car from the 20s.

I amd liking UKIP atm, purely on the basis that they have caused the first split in the right for years and they are taking votes from the Tories (who are the biggest threat to our vg sitting LD MP)

omnishambles · 25/04/2010 14:49

Thats interesting crydtsl - I didnt realise that all of our illegal immigrants and in fact other people born abroad were allowed to vote. Oh no thats right they're not are they - you're talking rubbish again.

omnishambles · 25/04/2010 14:50

crystal...bit of a grauniad moment there...
