Badenoch is on BBC News standing in front of an armoured vehicle (she's not sitting in a tank yet, but give her time).
When told that the majority of Britons don't want to be involved in this war, she said that we would be if we understood what it meant.
She's happy to have a conversation with the PM, obviously he's too stupid too.
Only she has the intellect required to want to bomb people.

I've never voted Tory but Kemi Badenoch is the only party leader who makes any sense, and one of the few politicians I can bear to listen to these days.

If there was an election tomorrow I would vote Con to support her.

I don't agree with anything she says, however, I kind of love listening to her. Her weird, slow voice is quite calming. I feel like she would make a good nurse or sleep app.

I mean, we had a shit Tory government which trashed the country for 14 years and we voted for the monumental act of self harm when we opted for Brexit, so it's pretty hard to construct a case that the British electorate are actually well informed and understand what they're voting for.

I mean, it's somewhat ironic that KB decides to highlight the ignorance of much of the electorate now when the majority of people happen to disagree with her, and I've no doubt that she will consider the electorate to be wise all-knowing as soon as she has any inkling that public opinion seems to be backing her up.

The reality is, the majority of the electorate won't know much about the complexities of the ME, any more than they understand economics or many of the other things that they might be asked for opinions on. And the majority won't be that bothered about trying to learn either.

Speaking as someone who doesn't have a problem with the US and Israel doing this, she's out of step with the country. And it's a bad political move for her.

There's a gap on the right for a party catering to people who aren't trying to climb into Trump's arse crack. The sort of right winger who thinks GB News is stupid and doesn't spend loads of time sharing own the libs social media videos. It would be wise to try and move into that. She's also clearly opening herself up to criticism here because the UK are not in a good place for military action and that follows the austerity decisions made by her party.

I think she has a point. We are the people who voted for BREXIT and the people that are putting FARAGE ahead in the polls. Go figure.

Interestingly, even Reform voters are somewhat lukewarm on this one.

You might want to check out the news. Iranian spies have been arrested in North London. That's a Jewish community by the way.

Why there is not more coverage or concern about the murders and attempted murders of our British Jewish citizens is a matter of national disgrace.

We were more bothered by Russians murdering dissidents on our soil than we are about British Jews being targeted. Perhaps the fact the murderers and wannabe murderers of Jews are all Muslims is making people coy about naming these racist murders for what they are. I'm pretty bloody sure there would be more outcry is the murderers of Jews were all white supremecists.

Iran is not our enemy, this is not our war.

The media could do better job of explaining complex situations TBH - but polticans are supposed to explain why they want to do things and persuade the people it's action worth taking.

I'm not sure just trust me it best approach but I won't explain why will work well for the UK voting population I think we're too cynical especially after Brexit.

Even in US the reasoning not clear - and polling I've seen not sold it's a great idea there either and is even openly talked about as a distraction tatic from Trumps other issues.

Doesn't mean we don't understand how dangerous to other countries and it's own citizens the current Iranian government is just this may not be the best and more thought through approach.

Especially as it's not even necessarily about being against the war in itself. Perfectly possible to believe the US and Israel are justified in their actions without thinking it's also in our interests to participate more fully.

I am not sure you are right about there being no outcry about the murder of Jewish people in the UK. There was much condemnation about the Heaton Park synagogue terrorist attack, for example.

I doubt she can because she doesn't have a grasp of our defence capabilities herself. She said at PMQs that our naval Type 45 destroyers “cannot take out incoming missiles” – that's exactly what they are built to do.

Disagree with things she says, but mocking her voice as 'slow & weird', is donwright nasty and says more about the kind of person you are.

I agree @LadeOde. The nasty attacks on politicians’ personal characteristics by both sides of the debate is very unsavoury. Play the ball, not the man or woman.

I quite like her voice! Unfortunately she's not using it to say anything sensible in this instance.

Is it stupid? I have several degrees but haven’t been paying attention to everything because my husband is currently very ill. I have no idea what is happening with this war, why it’s happening or what we should do about it. I have been busy trying to keep my family functioning.

Am I stupid? I would say I am ignorant of the topic. Not stupid.

Badenoch would be wise to remember who she is implying to be stupid the next time she wants us to vote for her.
