I'm be watching Reeves Omni-Fuck-Up. The core question is will be the IMF or Reform who end up sorting it all out.

I'm here. The build up to this seems to have lasted millenia, so will it match our expectations?!

In some ways I hope she just says - Gotcha. I'm just going to put up VAT by 5% and sits down. Rather trying to trick us with a millions increases.

Lovely to have you here with us @MilleniumOyster your right it has absolutely dragged in. Let's see what 9999 things she's going to hike up to try and reach her target of 35B

I seen some bits last night and it's a lot of kicking the can down the road. Like putting up minimum wage could be argued that will put off small employers taking on new staff.

Has there ever been a longer run up of awful rumours? Thank goodness it’s finally the day..

Cosywintervibes · 26/11/2025 11:22

@CambridgeSingers hasn't there just, think we have had every rumour going. Thanks for joining us.

@Bumblebee72 that would be wild and one of the best kept secrets ever.

I’ll be here. So glad it’s finally here, we just need to get on with it.

Wonder what will be pulled out the bag today - I’m a farmer and no one saw the IHT coming last time!

77Fee · 26/11/2025 11:27

I'll watch with you.

The late timing of the UK Budget has made things difficult for the Scottish Govt who now have to have their budget in January.

TBH I thought one outcome would be if restUK adopted Scottish income tax rates (which are bonkers to be fair, 6 different rates!). Let's see what happens.

cheapskatemum · 26/11/2025 11:45

@Cosywintervibesputting up minimum wage will also make many people like me, who are qualified & have massive responsibilities at work (think social care setting) wonder why on earth we’re doing it when we earn 25p more an hour than someone on minimum wage.

Have you seen the tractors lined up? If I had to guess it would be to means test the pension but I don't think they would have the nerve. Lovely to have you here

Lovely to have you here for our watch along. I didn't know Scotland had 6 different rates!

That could go in the favour of the SNP a good January budget will be fresh in people's minds for the May elections.

Love this!

After a long wait. The Autumn Budget is finally here!!! 💰
CambridgeSingers · 26/11/2025 12:13

Massive OBR leak - and private sector pensions definitely getting whacked. Yay…

NotThatWay · 26/11/2025 12:18

OMG!!! The OBR has just released their report into the Budget, 45 mins before the actual Budget!!

This is a massive upset. It will also give the Tories time to give Kemi Badenoch an actual reply to the budget.

Heads will roll

Cobol · 26/11/2025 12:19

I understand the leak being featured in the papers but why is the BBC leaking the details in their pre-budget show? I've tuned in to hear the budget from the government, not some random commentator. Can't they just wait 10 more minutes ffs

NotThatWay · 26/11/2025 12:19

In PMQs all the MPs are watching their phones 😄

MannersAreAll · 26/11/2025 12:20

Someone at the OBR will be unemployed tomorrow after that fuck up.

Allthebeernoidea · 26/11/2025 12:20

Cannot believe the whole thing has been leaked. What a shit show

olderandnonthewiser · 26/11/2025 12:20

You couldnt make it up could you. Incompetence on a whole new level

Peopleareworried · 26/11/2025 12:21

I am glad the BBC are sharing all the spoilers before Rachel Reeves tries to put her spin on it.
FFS it’s a bloody shitshow and we’re going to be fucked if this continues (as a country!)

NotThatWay · 26/11/2025 12:21

It hasn't been "leaked", as such. The OBR published it 😄

Peopleareworried · 26/11/2025 12:22

Taxing people saving in their pensions is bonkers. Making it less attractive to save for individuals future.

CambridgeSingers · 26/11/2025 12:23

True sorry, not a leak, a cock up! This has been a farce from the date the budget was announced onwards…
