Yet more confirmation of what we all know.

BTW did you know George Monbiot is now a convert to nuclear power?? After Fukishima debacle? Yes. Always suspected his rhetoric was lacking a real emotional involvement.

claig · 03/04/2011 09:44

I have no agenda, I am not a "cab for hire".

I mentioned climate change because I agreed with Michael Buerk's quotes about the BBC

'a left-wing culture means the national broadcaster has been cast ?adrift of the overriding national sentiment? on issues such as climate change.'

'Buerk also accuses BBC reporters of an ?uncritical love affair with environmentalism?.

I think his observations are accurate.

claig · 03/04/2011 09:46

Yes I know about Monbiot. Who do you think is in favour of nuclear? Yet again the elites, the billionaires and the "cabs for hire". It is teh people who don't want it. But green gurus like James Lovelock are evangelists for it because they tell us it will reduce the "carbon footprint". Quelle surprise? Non.

4x4s are irrelevant. The capitalists will manufacture electric 4x4s. Do you think Tony Blair will give up his 3 holidays a year?

People are already going through a drastic lifestyle change to the cuts being imposed on them. the plan of the global warmers is eventually to really restrict the people, to impose huge cuts on them, but the public aren't aware of teh extent.

It's not greed that is fucking us, it is the elites and their "cabs for hire". It is not necessary, because it is based on a lie.

glasnost · 03/04/2011 09:59

Did you read my post of 9.27 claig? Abut working classes being abandoned by the pseudo left. That's the problem right there and the pc Blair brigade instilled the recycling paranoia climate too whereby as long as you recycle you can carry on bombing brown people for oil. What a bastard. More I think about him more I loathe the toad. Re. Fukishima still unfolding. Yeah exactly. For that reason now won't read Monbiot again. As I typed before his rhetoric always rang hollow with me.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:03

Yes, of course the pseudo left abandoned the working class, because the pseudo left are "cabs for hire", they follow their master's voice - the elites. The elites are anti the ordinary people. It is them and us, it is the nobles and the serfs. Puppets push the policies of the elites, to the detriment of ordinary people.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:05

The elites are not left wing or right wing, they are only their own wing. They have "cabs for hire" on the left and the right. That way they can't lose, they get what they want. That's why the public say "they're all teh same".

glasnost · 03/04/2011 10:06

So to get back to the core problem. There's no political representation for the working classes hence hoodwinked by dogy types puppeteered by corporate interests hence people like yourself being hoodwinked into thinking there's a climate change conspiracy.

Let's ditch the PSEUDO left and get back to REAL left. Buona domenica.

glasnost · 03/04/2011 10:07

Sorry that's dodgy types BTW. Not dogy types. Doggy types would be funny though.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:08

Work till you drop will eventually become a reality, as the pension age is pushed further and further back. Living standards will drop. That is what the elites want and that is what the puppets will do.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:10

But glasnost, you didn't believe Blair and Brown. But it is the same characters who meet with all the world's elites at Kyoto and elsewhere and proclaim that "we have only 50 days to save the planet". We know about Bliar, why is he telling the truth over climate catastrophe?

newwave · 03/04/2011 10:13

claig, some of what you say is correct but the "cabs for hire" is a bit to general, not all MP's or even a majority are corrupt although I agree many are.

ousel, in my profession I could work to 70+ however how can those in hard manual work such as building site work do the same.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:19

I agree they are not all "cabs for hire". Cameron, Osborne, Gove and Clegg are certainly not corrupt.

'So given the model of the working population paying for the retired population, how do you propose it can work without extending the retirement age?'

I don't have the answers, I am not paid to look into it. But we have experts and professors and academics that could come up with a solution. We need to increase productivity. We need to give work to the young unemployed, not keep 70 years old in work. Where there's a will, there's a way. But there is no will, because the elites don't care about the ordinary people's quality of life.

ousel, there was a time when they probably told us that the sums didn't add up over the NHS and that it was madness to introduce it. We introduced it and it was a great success. We can solve the pension problem equitably. If we can throw £850 billion at the bankers, we can solve the problem of pensions for our old people.

newwave · 03/04/2011 10:23

Cameron, Osborne, Gove and Clegg are certainly not corrupt.

Probably not financially corrupt, but morally corrupt ? yes without a doubt, Clegg in particular.

glasnost · 03/04/2011 10:23

But they meet at Kyoto, beat their breasts, scare the shite out of us and then go back to carrying out the same policies that got us in this mess in the first place. It's all smoke and mirors and anything's good for them to instill in us a perma petrified state. Terror, imminent armageddon it's all good for them. The politics of fear is great for the incompetent corupt buffoons who rule the globe.

And are poisoning us with nuclear, carbon.

glasnost · 03/04/2011 10:24

newwve you're so naive. Of course they''re corrupt. Your Clegg in particular. Why do you think he propped up this vile coalition.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:25

Abandoning growth is the global warming trick. It is deception to bring us all down, to reduce our quality of life and our benefits. It is exactly what the elites want to happen to us. Let's have growth, let's have progress, let's have productivity with new technologies. Let's make the people rich and prosperous and let's pay them good pensions and provide good healthcare.

claig · 03/04/2011 10:27

glasnost, you are right, they don't believe a word of it, and they carry on as ever. But youe are wrong in thinking that it is only theatre. They intend to impose their policies on the public. It won't be fiction when they implement their theatre on the people. The people will suffer, the elites won't.
