Praying Jently. Also for you NSFN and DD

Am off to France tomorrow for a week, will keep you all in prayer.

Conference was indeed fantastic! I availed myself of the prayer room, didn't need the mattress (well if I'd gone to sleep, I wouldn't have been fit for my presentation), but sat there and sang quietly, which I found soothing!

DutchOma · 23/05/2009 21:39

Have a lovely trip, Mary. Also praying for NSFN dd and Naomi, poor little mite.

CaptainDippy · 24/05/2009 08:00

Ooooh, I 'd like a mattress to lie on and a big squahsy cushion to hug

Clockface · 24/05/2009 08:15

Amber I once went to a missions conference. Because people had flown in from all over the world and were therefore likely to be jetlagged, there was a mattress room. It was my lifeline! We'd only travelled from the UK to Germnay but by overnight (extremely uncomfortable) bus and I hadn't slept in two days. So the mattress room was just what I needed to restore body and soul! Maybe all Christian gatherings should have a mattress or two.

CD at your bad night with P. Hope you and dh can rest a bit today. Have a great pary!

Praying for Naomi and for NSFN's dd.

Have a good Sunday everyone! I am in the very nice position of not having any duties at church this morning - I can just enjoy the service without wondering when I'm up!

notsofarnow · 24/05/2009 09:27

Please pray for dd she is in pain which I think is a bit much to be just post op pain. She has had to wait 4 hours for pain relief and no one seems to be taking any notice of her. She says she can't move on her own and can't take deep breath because it hurts where the scar is. It was only keyhole surgery so me thinks it shouldn't hurt this much.

Not going to church this morn, 16 mile drive and getting ready just seem too much.

DutchOma · 24/05/2009 09:54

Sounds like you need to go and make a fuss NSFN. Insist you speak to the senior doctor on duty and that (s)he actually sees your daughter and takes some notice.

amberlight · 24/05/2009 19:09

nsfn, keeping up the prayers for your dd. What news?

amberlight · 25/05/2009 08:11

Keeping her in prayers, nsfn

CaptainDippy · 25/05/2009 09:37

Poor DD nsfn Praying that the pain will abate and she can get home for rest asap. xx

Party was fab Great time had by all: Farm went down swimmingly, sheep cake was fab (although some naughty chlid decided they would sneek into the kitchen and destroy / eat it during the games ) We managed to salvage it for the candle blowing; which was only slightly ruined by little P touching a lit flame She is ok, teeny little burn on her thumb, poor love. So, a couple of minor disasters; but otherwise it ROCKED!! I thoroughly enjoyed th excuse to dress up as a fairy and DH made a great Pirate - Gaaaaar!

Grotty weather here, which sucks Oh well, sunflowers to plant and picture to draw for DD2's thank you's (her, not me I hasten to add ) Best get on .....

Good morning . I have the hymn 'such love' buzzing round my head this morning and feel prompted to share it with you . So now you will be singing it too

Dh is still asleep . Thats 4 hours more sleep than me!

Weegiemum · 25/05/2009 17:39

Hi ladies.

Can I ask you to pray for a friend I saw this weekend, who thought she was 12 weeks pregnant and found out today she has an anembryonic pregnancy. She has kids already, and just got her head round this happening, when suddenly it isn't ... if you could pray for her (her and her dh are Christians) then we would all appreciate it.

Clockface · 25/05/2009 17:48

Will do WM. How sad.

If you could pray for me please.....to morrow I am going to a three day selection conference to decide whether I am going to train to be a vicar .

I am just packing now - a bit nervous!

DutchOma · 25/05/2009 22:40

Talking to OJ the other day and saying that she is well remembered on the prayer thread and she asked me to see 'hallo'. Things are hard for her in the run up to the first anniversary of Steve's death on the 9th June.

amberlight · 26/05/2009 06:46

Prayers for each you and each situation as I read your messages. May God bring strength for the day.

I so hope I'm not being completely silly in rejoining a bit more of mumsnet, but need to find out where the boundaries are of what I can cope with after a bit of a break. Could do with prayer that I don't rush into things with too much enthusiasm, and without any proper clue of my own ability to cope fully.

DutchOma · 26/05/2009 08:46

Prayers for clockface and Amber specially today. Whatever you do Amber, know that you are loved by God in the first place and by a lot of us in the second place.
Prayers for all as we live our lives in the light of Christ.
I'm going to email a few of you with a plot and a plan, if you haven't had an email and want to know about it, can you CAT me, please.
Or tell me on here and I will CAT you

Weegiemum · 26/05/2009 10:06

I feel like I'm just asking at the moment, but I am praying too, honest!

My SIL went into hospital last night to be induced with her first baby as she has GD and the baby is getting pretty big. They think it could take a couple of days anyway.

Could you pray for her and my (rather nervous but also very excited) brother!

DutchOma · 26/05/2009 18:53

Premier Radio are asking Christians to sign up declaring they are Christians. Have not quite found out how to link, a friend sent me her declaration and I sent mine, but it should not be difficult to find on Google. Apparently the Secular Society is looking for 100.000 people to rescind their baptismal vows, so Premier Radio thought it would be good to get at least that many to publicly declare that they are Christians.

JentlyDoesIt · 27/05/2009 08:27

Praying and reading ladies as always

An update - DP has been suspended from work on full pay - he has to attend a meeting with HR and his boss next friday to decide what happens next. We both would rather he was at work to keep himself busy although he now has a list of things to do at home

Please keep praying for us, this is sooooo hard. Thank you.

Prayers for everyone today.

I have a real feeling that God wants to touch us gently today, just make us a little more aware of his love. That's not the kind of thing I often say, so maybe it is for one of you ( at being so forward!)
