Thank you God for working through one particular lovely, generous, kind, supportive Angel on the prayer thread, thank you Angel from the bottom of my heart

FAQinglovely · 12/04/2009 20:32

Happy Easter everyone

I had a lovely afternoon. Friend of mine (C who helped me move with you Mary) asked what I was doing after church and when I gave a vague answer of "oh dropping a few "supplies" in to DH and then hope the sun comes out to do some gardening" then invited me over for lunch.

Her 3 (grown) children had all cooked the lunch between them, and we drank wine (well C and I did) and had a lovely afternoon.

Was a really nice surprise as I wasn't expecting to "do" anything over these days while the DS's are with DH

We are back, Bob and I. We had a super time, with M44 and her four and dh, who didn't mind ferrying us backwards and forwards. We spent Saturday with Bob's sister in Chard and we must have had the nicest weather in the country. Just avoided getting sunburnt.

MaryBS · 13/04/2009 21:38

Glad to hear that, DO!

Could do with some prayers, my essay is due in on Friday, and although I've done lots of reading, I've not yet put pen to paper!

CaptainDippy · 14/04/2009 13:16

Praying for motivation Mary. xx

Hello all, sounds like Easter was a splendid time for all

I'm afraid more prayers are required. As well as the situation I have already asked for, my job fell through this morning my friend had a candidate pull out on her last week and so lost a lot of money in commission which basically means she can't pay me I can't be too cross with her as she is my best friend but I am hugely disappointed and worried now big time about money... please pray for another oppourtunity. Thank you!

DutchOma · 14/04/2009 15:46

Oh Jen, big prayers coming your way.

Dippy, dh's health is not too brilliant at the moment. He is losing weight again and does not have a lot of energy for exercise. His physion is finished and there is not the motivation he had a few weeks ago. Having sid that, he mowed the grass this afternoon and went into town to get shopping, so it's not all bad.

CaptainCaveman · 14/04/2009 20:17

still here, still praying.

Move going on well, still waiting on a date.

Oliver came out in spots yesterday - gp says it's chicken pox. Poor little fella. Only got 7 spots though so we're praying the gp is right in saying he only has a mild dose of it

May the Love and Peace of the Lord be with you all.

CaptainDippy · 15/04/2009 08:39

Morning all,

Today is a happy day, my beautiful baby girl is 1 !!! she is currently napping in preparation for her party later

Thank you God for my gorgeous girl and her beautiful big brother.

CC - hope poor O doesn't suffer too badly. xx

BouncingTurtle · 15/04/2009 14:44

Happy birthday Jently's dd!!

Sorry about the job though!

I hope everyone is well and had a peaceful Easter, I was at my mum's. DH and I attended a lovely Easter service at a 12th century Church near my mum's which has the same name as our usual Church! It was very High Church (ours tends more to the evangelical) so was a different experience for us but everyone was very welcoming and they tried to conscript DH into their choir!!

Prayers needed here as well - I'm embarking on another training course for 4 weeks, it'll very very hard! But worth it I hope!

Prayers for my MN friend Arcadie, that she and her DH will disclipine their DS with understanding and compassion (shan't go into details as it is not my story to tell) but he disobeyed his parents' instructions with unfortunate consequences!

ZipadiSoozi · 15/04/2009 15:11

jently - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MINI-JENTLY - and indeed, praise God for our beautiful children.

DO - Prayers for your dh's health, and take care of yourself.

BT - Prayers for your new course, busy little bee! and prayers for your friends dc, hopw he is ok.

Prayers for our household aswell, similar type of thing, other dc getting into bother, parents seem to blame the other children, lots of tittle tattling going on between mums whilst the boys have all just moved on. this time I think my ds1 has taken the brunt of something thats gone off find it soooo difficult not sticking up for my own son, but I shall rise above it and not get into fistycuffs involved!!!!! good girl soozi- {{{{{{{{and breeeeeeeeeath}}}}}}}}}}

ZipadiSoozi · 15/04/2009 15:25

On a happier note, my 'airmiles' total just come through the post, I have 1,861 to use, thinking of taking the dc to 'legoland' or trip to London (panic attack time) go on the London Eye, and a Thames boat trip! must check out airmile website! maybe something less busy, my nerves don't take big busy places.

Last time we went to london, the car set on fire at my feet, dh jumper was on fire, I threw it out of window, which just missed people waiting for a bus stop at Marble Arch (rofl) saw someone get nobbled over head, by the time we got to him, he'd disappeared, ever since have had panic attacks in busy big places left a little agraphobic in unknown territory, even down to going out in the car.

So familiar trips out go down better. (boring) even better just an empty field.

Sorry just talking to myself again! Just trying to get my mind off irate mothers!

[[[[BOING]]]]]

ZipadiSoozi · 15/04/2009 15:27

Sorry boinged to high!!!!!!

notsofarnow · 15/04/2009 18:54

zip glad its not just me that struggles with big unfamiliar places. I finding crowds difficult since I was poorly back end of last yr and begining of this yr.

Prayers for everyone else.

Off to former collegues church in a bit they have just set up part of their hall as a prayer room open from 6 a.m - midnight everyday as they believe that is what God has told them to do. I'm off for a chat and a bit of prayer on how to see myself as God sees me

CaptainDippy · 15/04/2009 19:24

How'd it go nsfn? xx

LOL @ you Sooooz You do make my chuckled. Totally bonkers (in a good way ) Prayers for all your lovely boingy family xx

Happy Birthday!!! - To your lovely little lady Jen!! Hope she enjoyed her celebrations!!

Prayers for Arcadies BT and for your course - busy, busy, eh!!?

Best buzz, had a hugely busy day and still mroe to do!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 15/04/2009 19:25

Just seen CC's status on FB that thanks us and say O not longer has "The Pox!!" Praise God!

OP posts:
DutchOma · 15/04/2009 20:27

So long as it doesn't mean that he will still get "The Pox" later, praise God. That was very quick answer to prayer.

ZipadiSoozi · 15/04/2009 23:40

Just come on line, its thundering & lightening, I hate it at night, during the day I love it, so definitely bonkers CD

NSFN - Did you enjoy your evening, and find out how God sees you?

Interesting really, here I have been sat worrying all day about what & how other people see me, it should go over my head, as long as I know the truth, and follow the path God has guided me on, and believe,thank and pray, then I hope God sees me as ??????? now I can't answer! {{{{confused emotion}}}}

what does God want to see?

I hope I 'do' what he wants me to do.

OOOOOOH, more thunder, please God send that away, actually thats just reminded me, I once told the children, don't worry its just God making room in heaven for more Angels! how bad was that!!!

Better than saying the elephants are falling out of bed! I was scarred for life, imagining elephants falling out of the sky and squashing me!

Better go, I feel panic is going to make me go mad!

{{{{{{BOING}}}}}}}
