Well, we've had a lovely full day, park, pub n swimming!!! and still no chicken pox on dd! she is sooo desparate! so cute!

Right you beautiful lot, I have a dilema!

I have received a lovely gift, which is anonymous and in the covering letter the sender has referred to my dh by his first name, which is unknown by anybody except those who attended our wedding! my dh is only known by his second name.

This is the only reason alarm bells ring!

I feel so guilty as the letter was signed by 'A friend in Christ' which makes me feel more guilty, cause I should be accepting this generous gift from a friend through God with graciousness as it was intended.

Is this a lesson from God to have faith and trust in him and his work through generous people, or do I question.

I am sure the sender would be upset to find me in a quandry about receiving their kind offer, when it was sent to help me.

If anybody can throw any light on the matter, please e-mail me, as post below.

I feel very sorry to ask you all, especially if its you. I don't want to embarrass anybody and I would keep their confidance, I am truly grateful for their gift so generous.

Please God, help me make the right decision, deal or no deal!

...

ZipadiSoozi · 05/04/2009 21:33

Postal area on envelope, but I won't share that with you all, for fear of embarrassing sender who wishes to remain anonymous.

I am soo sorry!

ZipadiSoozi · 05/04/2009 21:35

Trying to be sooooo tactful, which isn't my forte!

MaryBS · 06/04/2009 07:01

Sooz, it wasn't I . I think its lovely someone sent you something, and I hope someone pops by soon to switch off those alarm bells (they're making my head hurt )

I am feeling SOOOO much happier now my job has finished, although not getting much rest as yet!

CD I MAY have a pair of plimsols for you, I've got a pair they're either 11 or 12, I just need to find them...

Nothing on the job front as yet...

CaptainDippy · 06/04/2009 08:15

Don#t be Sooooz, hope someone can shed some light asap my lovely

DC's just woken up so off to organise day ......

Love & Prayers to all. xxxx

Soozi - could it be a member of your DH's family... a distant relative?

Sorry I haven;t been around much, but I remember you all in my prayers.

Wonder if I could ask you to pray for my friend what the Holy Spirit fill her with strength, she is having a difficult time with a family related matter that she cannot go into, but as the story of Jonah demonstrates, nothing is hidden from God so He knows what the problem is and that is good enough for me. She has other things on her plate as well, her DH's job is at risk and he doesn't no what is happening so that is extra worry too

ZipadiSoozi · 06/04/2009 21:11

BT - Prayers for you friend, hope she is ok

Mary - Prayers for your job situation.

CD - Thanks for your support.

Notquitegrownup · 06/04/2009 22:12

Evening all. Flying by. Tooooo busy.

Sooz, I had a similar situation once, at work. I had to check the person's address on directory enquiries on the internet to write to them. It links directly to a list of electoral roll entries. As long as you know someone's surname, and the approx. area that you live in, you can find almost anyone, but you do get their full name . . . . I had a very startled reply to the letter, asking how on earth I knew their name which only their mother had ever called them!! . . . . Maybe someone just checked out your address that way.

Prayers for all. God bless.

  • Hurrah! I've been lurking, but haven't posted and had chance to use the new smilies yet. -

Morning all what is it about school hols that dc feel the need to wake at silly o'clock? (or is it just mine)

Prayers aplenty for everyone. Prayers for patience pleasee with my darling neighbours they were playing music very loudly and singing till 23.30 ish and thats the primary age dc. Its been a problem on and off since they moved in 15 months ago and it really bugs me and I know its not very christian but the thoughts that go through my head and are quite often voiced to anyone who will listen are. They have never worked in their lives, they just sit in house all day doing nothing while people like me have to get up and go to work after listening to night time antcs.

I am fed up of them they have no cconsideration for anyone but themselves they spent £500 quid on fireworks on bonfire night as it would save them money. Where as i spent £3.50 taking them to organised display. I was picking up their firework rubbish for weeks from my garden.

Sorry I know that just a rant but would like disernment on how to talk tothem rather than both feet first which is what I always do. Also for tolerance and to see them as Christ sees them. (Even though I am sure that he intended them to work at some point in their lives)

BouncingTurtle · 07/04/2009 12:14

Notsofarnow... aghh sounds like they would try the patience of Job! I will pray for you to have patience... though I think maybe you could contact the council about them, I'm sure you are not the only neighbour to be upset by them!

BB - praying for your bean, and for the one that didn't make it

DutchOma · 07/04/2009 15:49

I too would second getting in touch with the environmental health department. We had some neighbours a few years ago who were 'at it' until three and four in the morning and this was when my husband still had to be up for work the following morning. We spoke to them, got a mouthful, so the neighbours got together and sent a letter to the council. It helped a lot. Eventually they moved.

notsofarnow · 07/04/2009 20:14

hmm they wont move council put them there they knew what they were like. now there's a banner in the window wishing their ds happy 8th bday this is one of the four who are never in bed before 11.p.m. I really neeed my sleep tonight have walked up a big mountain, been shopping and am working in morning. Hope you have alll had lovely productive days xxx

Did you get some sleep, NSFN? Trouble with neighbours, it can be a bit unneighbourly, if you don't try and sort it out first. Have you tried speaking to the neighbours on the other side of them, or don't they have the same problem?

Hope and pray everyone is well

ZipadiSoozi · 09/04/2009 22:11

Prayers for 2 uncles.

dmums brother has had a heart attack, think he is ok though, thank God!!! he has only just retired and is very sad, upset, and worried he can't support his family through tough times they are having.

The other uncle (family God-parent)is in hospital being assessed for medication and depth of his Dimentia, don't think auntie will be able to look after him anymore, she is trying so hard to adjust, uncle has been poorly for last 8 years, its now getting to the point where he can't feed or walk himself, amongst other issues. Please God take care of these two families as they all adjust to new ways of living that they are not ready for.

Thank you God for my parents safe arrival home from holidays, please take care of them as they support their families, whilst they are still coming to terms themselves.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter!

Twins are camping in a tent tonight by themselves, (in the lounge) they said they wanted a camping sleepover, so cute!

CaptainDippy · 09/04/2009 22:28

That is cute Soooz Praying for your uncles....
