MJIM - poor boy. Hope that he feels better tomorrow.

SS - so sorry. I completely ignored your last post. Praying for peace of mind for you - and for great news on your flat.

JentlyDoesIt · 27/03/2009 09:42

Morning girls,

Interview was more like an informal chat we gossiped about all the people we knew and kitchens we have already worked on together and chatted about the company and stuff just waiting for phone to ring with news either way - there isn't a job specifically available but he might create one for me

SS - I've never been more than 37 weeks pg but that was quite bad enough. I got very tired of people saying things like "are you sure there's only 1 in there" and other such comments. Lots of deep breaths and sweet smiles As for people saying "have you had baby yet" on the phone, I would just politely point out, that if I had, they would have been informed hoping for peace for you and lots of rest where you can.

MJIM - that sounds really positive, well done to you and DS but ouchey for poor DS's fingers

Amber - so sorry to hear about your beloved dog, hope DS is ok

Hi to everybody else, brain gone a bit blank I'm afraid!

xx

CaptainDippy · 27/03/2009 10:10

Poor poor DS MJIM Praying his little hand it better soon, these things have happened to us all sweetie xx

Oooooh Jen!! Praying for a positive result .....

I've had a message from NASWM. Prayers for her and her family would be very welcome.

amber32002 · 27/03/2009 11:58

Heck. DH has had heart tests this morning and they're not happy with the readings so now he has to have even more tests for something at the end of the month, to go with all the other tests he's having. I'm struggling to cope with all of this and could do with prayers if there are any spare, please...

And still praying for everyone else too.

Notquitegrownup · 27/03/2009 13:29

Oh Amber - prayers aplenty to spare for you and your dh and ds at this worrying time.

Prayers too for NASWM. She was the first MNetter I 'met' on MN Sooo glad that you are still in touch with her DO.

God bless all.

MaryBS · 27/03/2009 13:43

Praying Amber, and for all who have asked for prayer.

Could do with some prayers, both for DS and myself. Something is bothering DS, it could be he is picking up my stress/distress. He has started wetting himself again, and won't settle properly at school. I've been having bouts of feeling low, and also have felt a little that friends have been distancing themselves from me IRL and I don't know why

Notquitegrownup · 27/03/2009 13:50

Grrr to you being so far away, Mary. Sending a virtual casserole to you, and a virtual box of lego for ds, as well as prayers too of course. Can you get some special time for you and him this w/end - a swimming trip, or whatever is a treat together? Thinking of you. (You know that the feeling that friends are being distant is more likely to be coincidence/a feature of you feeling low/vulnerable at the moment, dont you? Doesn't stop it feeling real, of course, but I'm praying that God will send you a reminder that you are loved and wanted by your friends/rl community, as well as by us!)

I might think it was a coincidence if people still came round for coffee, but they don't . But thank you, NQGU, its appreciated!

Please pray for N who is in hospital. She has just started chemo following surgery for breast cancer, and has picked up an infection. Also for M, a 10yo girl whose mother has just died

MaryBS · 27/03/2009 17:53

Please also pray for T's family. T died in tragic circumstances, and is someone DH and I both knew . RIP T

BouncingTurtle · 27/03/2009 19:23

MaryBS - so sorry
Will pray for all those who need prayers, and all those who think they don't!
Nearly at the end of my course!

ZipadiSoozi · 27/03/2009 23:20

Aw mary, I'll have a virtual cuppa with you, you sound like you are doing too much atm, prayers for 'T's family, 'N' and 'M'

Such saddness lord please protect these families.

ZipadiSoozi · 27/03/2009 23:26

BT - Well done on coming to the end of your course. What are you studying? (nosy me)

Praise God, dh had his plaster cast off today, although very sore and bent looking still no digging! (popeye soozi sighs) at least we can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel (the one I dug)

And...

Thank you God for bringing my ds2 through his ch

ZipadiSoozi · 27/03/2009 23:34

sorry pressed wrong button

And...

Thank you God for bringing ds2 safely through his 'chickens spots'(dd's words) they are starting to dry up a bit, he's had it tough, with cold and cough thrown in, plus spots/blisters being on his little bits n bobs (sorry tmi) in his ears, in his mouth etc etc everywhere except hands and feet.

Just waiting for his twin sister to get it now!

g4grapes · 27/03/2009 23:55

I hope you don't mind me jumping onto your thread like this...have been trying to find something similar for a while, but DTs keep waking up before I get far enough down the topic list!

I will include all these situations in my prayers, and could I ask you to pray for my peace of mind, as I am not adjusting well to the thought of not working for the next few years. I have worked for the last ten and enjoy the independence, but we have been blessed with DD who is 3 in June and DTs (girls) of 4 months. My family - particulary my Dad - is hugely supportive, but they don't quite understand how I am feeling.

I thank God for leading me here, I feel calmer already.

amber32002 · 28/03/2009 07:02

Prayers for everyone as I read through. Mary, so sad to hear about the situation with T.
ZipadiSoozy, glad to hear that the chicken spots are going away. I remember ds's ones, and he kindly gave them to the rest of us as it turned out neither dh or dsis or me had ever had it in childhood! And your dh has no plaster cast? Excellent.
Hope NASWM's situation is better today, too.
Jently, good news about that interview situation.
MJIM, is his hand still recovering?
Hello to everyone else and sorry that my brain keeps dropping details after I've listed a few people. I wish it wouldn't, but it won't do 'lots of people and lots of prayers' without a struggle (grr).

G4grapes, hello - will keep you in prayer also. Twins as well? Goodness me, yes, that's a big big change of life for you. No harder nor more rewarding work in the world than bringing up children, but I think we can lose 'who we are' in the demands of it, and that takes so much getting-used-to?

DH has now found out his cholesterol is higher than it should be too. He's just so down at the moment. I feel flattened. DS is coping well, but I think he hides a lot of how he feels and now it's spring holiday for him so he has less school routine to take his mind off things. We'll see what (joys) the next week brings.

DutchOma · 28/03/2009 09:00

Praying with you and for you Mary and Soozi too.
Is it me or are there more twins about at the moment? Maybe not Ds was in a class with three sets of twins in the 80's, so maybe it is just me.

Welcome g4grapes, motherhood can be so all consuming that you even lose yourself in it. Be assured that God always knows you forthe person you are and that eventually you will be richer for the experience.

Amber, praying for you and your family. Apart from prayer is there anything else we can do to support you?

BouncingTurtle · 28/03/2009 10:12

G4grapes - yes IKWYM! I'm adjusting to being a WAHM after being full time employed for 13+ years!
Soozi - it's the client training for the new job I'm starting in a couple of weeks - I'll be working as a call centre agent from home!

naswm · 28/03/2009 11:39

Thank you for the prayers.

Anyone going to Spring Harvest? We are due to be in Minehead, going a week today

amber32002 · 28/03/2009 13:29

DutchOma, thank you, but praying and listening seems to be the best thing at the moment. Well, that and me reading my way through car manuals, maps, books of statistics etc... (don't ask, folks)

MaryBS · 29/03/2009 18:56

Many prayers needed for patience with DS. He is still so sweet and a charmer, but he refuses to do anything we say, he keeps doing things he shouldn't, and keeps wetting himself. I am at the end of my tether

ZipadiSoozi · 29/03/2009 20:43

Mary - Prayers for you and ds, wouldn't it be a lot of help if we could tap into their little precious minds, my ds1 says I scramble his brain making it all mixed up! I obviously overload him.

BT - Good luck and prayers for your new job, you working from home.

G4grapes - Welcome! Prayers for your situation atm, it does get easier, lots of good vibes from fellow prayer thread posters. Take a look at my piccys of dts, they are adorable, but I agree, we do get caught up in their lives because we have to. I nearly had a nervous breakdown when my dts were 3yo (after 4 years of 4 hours sleep a night) had loads of proessional help, which I still thank God for. Keep us posted and many prayers for strength and patience!

amber - Prayers for you, you really are getting it tough, will dh have to go on tablets for his high choles... or can he manage it through diet? prayers to lift him up over that beautiful rainbow, and prayers for ds hope to communicate his feelings too you, and prayers for you to manage and take care yourself. xxx

ZipadiSoozi · 29/03/2009 20:51

Thank you God for my dh, I have felt so resentful towards him of late and last night it came to a head, in a very sad way.

But, whilst I was busy on a course this morning, on my return, dh had tidied our bedroom & left a couple of flowers on my pillow! Is there hope for us yet? I pray for more wooing

naswm · 29/03/2009 21:39

Thinking of you Mary {{{{{}}}}}
