Hi everyone - don't know if this helps Podglet but a friend had an elective c-section after an emergency one and said it was completely different and the recovery time was so much better and quicker...

Still flying by - so as to not spend to much time on MN!

Praying....

CaptainCaveman · 28/02/2008 07:45

Praise God, all was pretty much well with dizzydixies scan today, she said to thank you all for praying for her. Still has to take it easy but every day that passes with no bleeding is good news..

Dsis gone to our parents for a few days. Praise God, the alcohol clinic she goes to have referred her for psychotherapy - which she has accepted. May this be the beginning of the rest of her life.

Very sad news in the CC household - my neightbour just knocked to say she had a cat down the side of her house which had died, and it looked like ours. Sadly it is. Not sure whats happened to him, but one side of him is all muddy like he was dragging himself along. No obvious signs of injury. He normally stays in at night too. Have sat and sobbed for half an hour. Told ds, who said "oh, we only have one cat now, and when he dies we'll have none!" Then we went downstairs to see him (put him under a towel in the conservatory) and ds played him a 'tune' on the recorder and we asked God to take care of him in heaven.
Anyone know what you do with a dead cat?

mufti · 28/02/2008 08:18

ooh sorry, CC, poor cat , i bury mine in the garden when they go, put a stone over for a while, then a plant.
or the vet would probably take it for you

yummy pics CD, btw ds didn't cut a tooth till 12m.

DutchOma · 28/02/2008 13:53

So sorry to hear about your cat CC. I do feel for you, having just lost our own.
The least sentimental way of dealing with it is to take it to the nearest vet for cremation, I might be inclined not to bury it in the garden since you want to sell the house . They will make a charge, but at least you know it is dealt with cleanly and without too much damage to the environment. So

amber32002 · 28/02/2008 15:26

CC, sad news. Having only just lost ours the same way, this time we did go for the funeral-in-the-garden, though our last one was cremated.

Still praying through the messages.

Prayers please for Sunday when I attempt my first ever "Low Mass" at a High Anglican church. I'm so nervous about it, (specifically getting any of it wrong), though I do know intellectually that nothing that bad should happen if I do...

MaryBS · 28/02/2008 15:52

Amber, do you know if its Book of Common Prayer or Common Worship, the service? You could look at the service online and familiarise yourself with it.

Lots of cats lots - so sorry

Lots of cats lost - so sorry about yours, CCM

MaryBS · 28/02/2008 15:53

oops {

CaptainDippy · 28/02/2008 16:55

Only just read your post CC - so about your cat. xx

OP posts:
podglet · 28/02/2008 20:13

Thank you for your wise words and Mary, that was so clever and not the least bit facetious! I know it will all be ok and I shouldn't worry, as long as she is safe and healthy but it keeps dancing round my head.

CC - so sorry to hear about the cat. DS sounds very sweet though.

Hi to everyone else, fab pictures CD, do you do commissions??

CaptainCaveman · 28/02/2008 20:56

Thanks for your condolences, it really means a lot. Ds wants to know if we can get a parrot now that Malley has died , and thinks we are mean for saying no!
Malley currently wrapped in his towel and locked in the brick-built out-house so nothing can get at him. Feel really mean putting him out there, I wanted to keep him in the conservatory but dh refused. I will ring the vet in the morning. My eyes hurt from crying and I keep looking at the favourite places he would curl up in, and at his empty food bowl . At least he's in heaven now, perhaps pooing behind God's tv

Hope everyone else is ok?

ZipadiSuzy · 28/02/2008 22:09

CC - Aw so sorry about 'Malley' DS so cute!
