Hi all,

CC - now you've practised on your house - can you come and do mine??? Fingers crossed for the quick sell...

SS - prayers that it gets quickly sorted for you. Over a month for a new washing machine - that is terrible.

NQGU - thank you for that thought. The Dr has already said that she thinks that DP should come to one of the counselling sessions with me but I think the first step is getting him to accept the problem.

Well, praise God, I have had a much better day. I have felt so much better, have actually managed to do some things (nothing too strenuous) and have eaten properly for the first time this week Thank you ladies for your prayers and thank you God for your healing

May you all have wonderful weekends

MaryBS · 25/01/2008 19:38

CC, you need a St Joseph house selling kit!

www.goodluckonline.net

DutchOma · 25/01/2008 21:44

You find the most amazing things Mary . First it is pyamas and now a house selling kit. Where do you find them?

MaryBS · 26/01/2008 07:34

Well, some of them are pretty tasteless , but you can see pages of them here:
Gadgets for God

PandaG · 26/01/2008 10:46

pretty tasteless indeed Mary, I am ROFL at some of them!!

Morning all, have got a day to myself today...DH is taking the DC to see trains (he is a rail enthusiast, and boththe DC seem to be following in his footsteps, although I suspect DD thinks she will go for the day out with daddy if DS is!) anyhoo, a day for me to catch up and do my college work!

How are you feeling today podgelet?

SS sounds infuriating, a month without a washer.

praying for you all x

CaptainCaveman · 26/01/2008 17:46

evening all! My tea is ready so just popping in to say Hi and am praying for you all.

mary i love the house selling kit - perhaps I should get one!?

xxx

podglet · 26/01/2008 17:47

They're brill Mary - tasteless indeed

Am mmuch better today, DP made a big improvement and is really helping, long may it last...

New bump pic just put on profile, taken about 5 mins ago - you may now all tell me how huge I am

DutchOma · 26/01/2008 19:24

Very glad to hear that Podglet. And yes, it is a very nice bump
Don't go overdoing things now, will you. Glued to the sofa is still the order of the day I hope, at least for the weekend.

CaptainDippy · 26/01/2008 19:35

Just opping by - absolutely shattered, which makes me cos I spend all flippin' day entertaining the DC's and when I actually get some time to myself, I am too bloomin' exhausted to do anything with it.

Sorry for rant.

Lovingy our big bump, Podglet! xx

Love & Prayers. xx

Can I just own up to owning the bubble bath, as depicted here: bubble bath

Just been to a "quiet day" of reflection, extremely tired after being quiet for so long...

podglet, the bump is looking GOOD!

CCM - I think you should ge the St Joseph set, and maybe the St Jude as well, just to be on the safe side

notsofarnow · 26/01/2008 21:18

DD 1 is not on ab's for bronchitus. dd3 hasn't had a brilliant week lingering temp but seems a better today. It's her birthday party tomorrow so prayers that it all goes well which i'm sure it will. Just everything to stick in the oven butties to make etc in the morning.

Please pray for df who was in hosp over chirstmas her dd's are really playing up at the min to the point that eldest stormed off to uni, dd3 did a runner and df has ended up shouting at her sister my bf because she told the girls not to speak to her mother the way she was. Told them all to get out of the house then text my df and said we have been to hell and back and I don't need you shouting. Df is in pieces. i think they all need a break from what has been a hell of a few months.

DutchOma · 26/01/2008 21:19

Oh Mary you make me laugh. Bishop tested and cardinal (sin??) approved?

MaryBS · 26/01/2008 21:27

Praying NSFN...

DO, its the directions for use that crease me up:
1 Kneel before thy tub
2 Reflect upon wrong-doing
3 Run warm bath
4 Pour in enough bubble bath to equal your sins (double the amount you estimated)

Roseylea · 27/01/2008 07:39

That's fab Mary!

Podglet your bump is awesome!

Praying for your dc, esp. the birthday party. And for your friend - it all sounds very stressful, poor thing.

{{{hugs}}} CD - no wonder you're shattered; looking after thrre little girls is no small thing! Hope you get a bit of 'me-time' soon.

Prying for your washing machine situation Swaliswan! I depend on my washing machine a lot and wuold panic like mad if I didn't have one for even a short time (sometimes I think about my great-grandmother with her mangle and bucket and think how easy-peasy we have it in so many ways...)

Talking of which, we had promoised to take dd swimming yersterday but then I came on so dh took her, and I took ds (nearly 4) up to a huge beautiful forest near where we live, in our wellie boots, and spent the afternoon splashing in muddy puddles, walking along logs and climbing trees! It was small-boy heaven! We were caked in mud by the time we came back to the car but it was worth it! So everything went straight either in the washing machine or the bath when we got home!

CaptainCaveman · 27/01/2008 08:36

Mary am loving that soap!

Rosey that sounds like my kind of enjoyment too - I love getting outdoors and getting all muddy

Ds currently downstairs on the sofa wrapped up in my dressing gown because the baby in his tummy is making him poorly . 11 weeks today - Praise God. I will try and add the scan photo to my profile later....try being the operative word!

Taking you all to church with me this morning, and remembering you in my prayers.

CD am full of guilt - I just found the letter I thought I had posted to you 2 weeks ago . I am posting it on my way to church - can you let me know when it arrives? Am really really sorry if that has inconvenienced you in any way

NorthernLurker · 27/01/2008 19:44

SS - praying for your washing machine situation - ours was out of action for about three weeks before Christmas - I was tearing my hair out and had to get very assertive with the repair people as well!
Podglet - lovely bump!
NSFN - praying for the party - a subject close to my heart as I 'survived ' dd2's last week.

off to put girls to bed now - night all

CaptainCaveman · 27/01/2008 21:05

Where has everyone gone today??

MaryBS · 27/01/2008 21:13

Church?

Oh, and we went to an Owl centre to see some owls. And also dropped in on the outlaws.

Tell me, I was very restrained and didn't say a word, but AIBU to be annoyed at MIL? DS asked her why they hadn't got any new toys (OK, fair enough he shouldn't have said that). But MILs reply was "Well, you don't come here very often any more, so thats why we haven't bought any"

Oh and I have a first draft of my sermon! Its "proving" at the moment, I've written it and left it. I've done it based on the game "Simon says", only this time its "Satan says". Thank you all for your prayers, may God have inspired my message!

podglet · 28/01/2008 09:15

Morning all,

Thank you lovely ladies - it is a lovely bump - just feels huge! Only 14 weeks to go

Had a lovely morning out yesterday, we went swimming then out to a local jam place (Wilkins & Co should anyone have heard of them) where we went round the museum then had lunch there too

Hope everyone has a lovely day today

Swaliswan · 28/01/2008 11:00

Good morning everyone!

Podglet, your bump is gorgeous! Sometimes I sit here thinking about how I miss my bump.

Ladies, will you continue to pray for the washing machine situation. I was told on friday that the new one would be delivered on wednesday then I had another phone call to say that actually it will be at least another 3 weeks until they have any stock in the country. I am furious! On top of that, the flat two floors up from us have had a leak and flooded the flat above us and our flat. They don't think there is any problem because their flat isn't flooded despite being shown the water coming through the ceiling. I'm trying to sort it out as no-one else is. The people who live in the flat above live in Greece so I'm trying to look after their flat as well.

I think that I need a holiday!

I hope you all had a less stressful weekend than me!

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 11:01

Morning!

Have completed another job application, am hopeful ....

Hope you have all had good weekend's, ours was tiring and manic, but good

nsfn - How was DD3's Party? Hope it was fab and everyone was well enough to enjoy it! How is DD1 today? Praying for quick recovery now she has the anti-b's. Praying hard for your poor friend Healing and forgiveness, Lord. xx

Lovely day here.

Fine about the letter btw, CC

NorthernLurker · 28/01/2008 11:10

Oh SS - how grim. Have you tried ringing the customer care line and crying telling them you have a baby and will be billing them for both the laundrette bills and taxis to and fro whilst you are waiting?
Is there anybody you know through a church who could do a load or two for you?

CaptainDippy · 28/01/2008 11:16

Oh SS Praying for quick resolution ....

OP posts:
Swaliswan · 28/01/2008 12:57

Ooooo, you must have been praying! I phoned Argos and refused to talk to them about the situation as they don't seem to have a clue about it. When they eventually put me through to hotpoint, it was confirmed that my washing machine is definitely booked in to be delivered on wednesday! Woohoo! Thankfully, my mum has been doing all of our washing so we are coping, but it isn't practical and we generate a lot of washing so my poor mum has been working really hard to keep us in clean clothes.

All I have left to do today is sort out the leaking ceilings and get a new job Maybe I should get on with that whilst I cook DD some food with one hand and eat my lunch with the other.........
