Just a random ask ....... Would any ofy ou have the girls and I to stay for 5 days at the end of March-ish??

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 02/02/2008 09:27

CD, no news on friend yet, no signs of labour. What dates in March are you thinking of? I will ask dh if he minds (when he eventually wakes up!!!)

All 4 ladies from A/N thread had lovely scans - thank you so much for your prayers and PRAISE GOD for their happy news. Sadly though another lady went for her scan and they saw no heartbeat . Praying for her and her incredibly sad news.

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2008 11:26

Oh CC How awful. Praying for her nad her DH / DP (?) & family etc. xxxx

March 31st - April 4th. Would you seriously consider having all 4 of us!!!? Have you got the room??

OP posts:
podglet · 02/02/2008 15:30

hi all,

CD - I'd love to have you all but I'll still be working then and I'm not sure there's the room. Although I would love to show off my new Kitchen and Bathroom! I'm in Eastbourne on Easter Sunday - can't avoid visiting my evil SIL any more Hope DD2 is feeling better and DD1 had a good party

CC - hurrah for the 4 ladies on your a/n thread but for the other lady, that was my biggest fear How are you and baby Cavey doing?

Rosey - glad your chest has survived

Panda - hope you went out and had a good time and you don't feel bleurgh any more!

DO - any more of that special invisible snow??

DS had his first "big Boy" haircut this morning, he has had trims in the past but this time she cut it properly - he looks so grown up but also for another bit of his babyhood gone.

Love to all

CaptainCaveman · 02/02/2008 15:58

Baby Cavey is cooking nicely - got my nuchal scan on weds at 09.30 so very excited about seeing the mini one via ultrasound again!

Just been to look at the most gorgeous house! I'd buy it today but dh needs to 'think about it' for 48 hours - he's so darn sensible!! (hope we buy it though, it's got everything and the location is perfect!!)
Prayers for a quick sale on ours please

DutchOma · 02/02/2008 16:20

Podglet, we are covered in invisible snow, up to our necks

PandaG · 02/02/2008 16:46

hello all- good news re the ladies on your a/n thread CC, but prayers for the other woman

we had snow here this morning, a couple of inches (but we are up one of the hills in Sheff, we always get it if lower lying areas do not). were going sledging this pm, but the sun came out and melted the snow, cue 2 disappointed children, who are both knackered after their sleepovers. We didn't go out last night, had a yummy takeout instead. DH is now coming out with a cold too!

firend has a childcare crisis, so tomorow I will have 2 extra children from church, through to either late on Monday or Tuesday morning depending on travelling. please pray they DC all get on well, and sleep!

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2008 17:14

Will it just be a quick visit Podglet??

Praying for quick house sale for you CC - could you link to this new cave from RightMove??

Praying ofr your sanity Panda! Hope your two extra hosue guests are well behaved!!

Prayers for DippyLand appreciated - younger 2 v.v.v.v.grumpy - actually, come to think of it, so is DD1. Roll on bedtime ........

Praying for your childcare situation Panda, and that the dcs get on famously!

Roseylea · 03/02/2008 09:56

Looks lovely, Caveman! Go and have a second viewing!

I need prayer - I'm feeling a bit low this weekend, I'm overloaded really. Just feeling very fragile. We're off to church in a minute so I'm hoping that will bring some peace.

Love to you all! Happy Sundays!

CaptainDippy · 03/02/2008 12:02

Rosey - I did warn you, young lady!! Praying for release for you in the stress of things - try to take it easy a little and prehaps do some delegating!!? xx

{{{{{Podmog}}}} Praying. xx

Prayers needed here too - DD2 has baaaad case of Chicken Pox - won't settle - think we're in for a loooong night. xx

OP posts:
MaryBS · 04/02/2008 07:30

CD - how was your night? Praying that the chickenpox settles down. The first few days are the worst.

Podmog - SO sorry to hear you are having grief at your church again! You've done so well at "hanging in there", it is always so bad when so-called Christians make life hell for other Christians. Don't they read their bible? At least YOU know you can hold your head up high. If there is anything I can do, let me know. Is the vicar being helpful?

PandaG · 04/02/2008 07:37

Hi Mary

Podmog, praying for church situation

CD - how is DD2 this am?

yesterday with 2 extra went well, but they are winding eac h other up atm, and I have 4 to get ready and out for school...2 with long hair to do...I got up much earlier, and dh has been very helpful this morning so have time to check here and play my moves on Scrabulous while the DC scream at each other!

amber32002 · 04/02/2008 07:46

CC, New house looks lovely - and it has a games room too!:-) Will they move a bit on price? Looks like they're hoping for quite a bit compared to some of the others for sale round there?

Rosylea, praying for peace and rest for you.
Podmog, likewise praying for peace for you in the church. It must be exhausting for you dealing with so much at home, and this, and all else...

CD - prayers for the chickenpox. Our son was kind enough to pass his on to all of us (turned out none of us had it as children...!)

PandaG, prayers for a good night's sleep from that collection of children :-)

Prayers for everyone else too

NorthernLurker · 04/02/2008 07:56

Just popping in before school etc - praying for you all - may this week go smoothly for us all, may we find time to talk to God about everything that is troubling us and let His hand guide our way!

CC - love the house - from the photos looks like it's been on the market since the summer - so go in low - you never know they may take an offer!

Back later

Good morning, Ladies!

I thought that I would come and cheer you all up. Please take a slice of my birthday cake and settle down with a cup of tea whenever you have a minute.

Swaliswan · 04/02/2008 08:36

BTW, DO the jumper has arrived and is absolutely fabby! DH is very impressed!

notsofarnow · 04/02/2008 09:39

Happy Birthday swaliswan. Hmm we had one of those cakes last week for dd it was yummy.

Please pray I can get rid of all these negative thoughts swimming round in my head. There were times yesterday when I wanted to take my brain out and throw it against the wall. I have so had enough of feeling like this.

DutchOma · 04/02/2008 09:44

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWALISWAN.

Glad the jumper is ok and fits. I have done the back for the next one and although it will be a very different garment I think you will probably love it just as much.

Are the sleeves the length you wanted them?
Podmog, prayers for you and your church situation, as Mary says grrrrr at 'Christians' who don't read their bible. Hope your vicar is supportive, but I wonder why he bows to "fleas in his ear"?

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2008 10:48

Happy Birthday SS!! Thank you for Caterpillar Cake (one of my faves ) - it is very tasty - I am gobbling it down because although both of my little ones are sleeping, they are unsettled and I keep thinking one or both with wake any second! My night was ...... long. DD2 is in a lot is discomfort, poor love Pray it is over soon and that if DD3 is going to come down with it, she'd come down with it asap and get it over with!! My poor babies! Thank you for prayers. xx

{{{{nsfn}}}} - I know exactly how you feel, particularly the bit about taking out your brain and throwing it against the wal!! (Well put!!) Here for you honey. Praying lots. xx

Glad it has gone ok enough with your house guests, Panda and that DH has been helpful They'll be gone soon enough! xx

Oh Podmog - Grrrrr! I am sorry this is happening to you. It just seems so wrong and unfair Church should be somewhere safe to go and be close to God to your brothers and sisters in Christ Praying for healing of relationships and for strength for you - concentrate on your project. xxxxxxx

Good morning all.

CD - give dd2 antihistamine, if you haven't already (medised?) It can relieve the itching a bit and help her sleep. Let her have lots of coolish baths. And if the chickenpox go down her throat, chop grapes in half and pop them into a jelly when making it. When the jelly sets and cools, the grapes are lovely and cooling on the internal spots. (Had chickenpox very badly as an adult. Remember it sooo well.)

Thinking of her. Praying for all.

God bless.
